I found the podcast on here, disboards.
If some one were to offer me a mini giraffe? I'd jump in it. Because, opulence, I has it.

GREG!!! Welcome friend!! How did you find the podcast? Just curious. Welcome to the funny farm where fart jokes and slams on the Yankees are more then welcome!! :rotfl:

Slams on the Yankees are expected. Everyone hates the greatest :thumbsup2

Hey gang!! Life has been busy and I haven't been here for a LONG LONG time!! I hope to start getting more time to spend here!! :surfweb:

Anyhow, I saw there's a new DIS Dad's Shirt and I want to order a few for our DCL trip in November, a double dip trip!! But I went to order the shirts and I want to order them in different colors and did't see a way to do that!! :confused3 Is it possible?? I want at least a few different colors!!

Thanks Guys!!! And DIS on!! :cool2:

Were you trying to order shirts in colors other than the ones listed in the form? Or just trying to order multiple shirts? If the latter, then just submit the form one time for each color shirt. I need to request today though.. it's being sent to the shop TODAY. lol!

Hello my name is Greg, I am from Louisiana. My family and I are DVC members (BLT). We have been to the world twice as a family and I went once in 1988. We are going again in July.
I am glad to find the disdad's club, I was starting to think it was only women on here. I don't mind that but my wife get a little upset when she sees me chatting with a woman (any woman).
I found out about this club through the podcast.

Glad you found us here! Welcome to the club.... you are member # 577! :thumbsup2

:welcome: WELCOME TO THE DIS DAD'S CLUB! :welcome:

You have been added to the DIS Dad's Club list :thumbsup2

Welcome, Greg!

That is cool that you found the PodCast before you found us. I thought it would be the other way around for a while. :woohoo:

More ownage!

Anyone else want a miniture Giraffe? :confused3

You know like the one on the DirecTV commercials. :thumbsup2

*ahem*

"Sign me up!"

I'd love one and contrats on your 2,000th post! I figure I'll hit that in 2025. lol

Welcome to our little pool of testosterone Greg .:welcome:

Well post 2000 is here...should it be anything "special"...really? :confused3

I've been on the Disboards for 5 years joining in May of 2006. At first I was a seeker of info...but developed into a answerererererer.

Then in April of 2008 (actually tomorrow 4-4 will be the anniversary date) I found this interesting thread called the DIS Dads Club. Laughed my way through the symptoms of the affliction. and joined with a simple "Sign me up!!!"

Since then I have enjoyed these threads a whole lot...in a typical work day I found myself spending far too much time (as in I should be fired from my job amount) on the DDC thread.

I'm proud to be part of such a group of guys who love there families so much, and want to spend time with them at a place we all hold special in our hearts. I've made many friend here on the boards. And one Nemisis...maybe two...not sure that's legal though.

We all have our reasons to love Disney. I think my reason stems from my childhood memories made with my folks at WDW. And I hope to keep on making them with my family...and hopfully one day with grandchildren.

Being part of the DDC...I can stand a little taller with my Disney geekdom...as I know there are at least 500+ guys who are there to back me up and stand on the Bus/Monorail so that others may take our seats.

Now the bars are open.
FREE BEVERLY FOR EVERYONE!!! Enjoy!

Nice job on post 2000.:thumbsup2 Thanks for the Beverly.

Yes, yes I do. Would love to get a couple of them and some bonsai trees so I could give my office a Savanna view. I'm embarrassed to say I spent time googling "Miniature Giraffe" the first time I saw that commercial.

They really stuck it to the Sox this weekend. We Yankee fans thank you :thumbsup2

Looking forward to the Rangers @ Yankees next weekend. Then I can gauge how good my Rangers really are. I feel the Yankees are a better measuring stick than the first few games against Boston - since Boston often starts off slow.

:cool1: Just downloaded the 3rd podcast off iTunes! :cool1:

Also, now when I search "Dis" under podcasts, the Dis Dads Club podcast is number 4 on the list! (used to not come up at all)

The Yankees usually have slow starts as well.... but if their bats keep up like this, they will be fine. :thumbsup2

Trennr, I would gladly take a glass of Beverly so that I can toast your post. Of course, I would then have to pour the rest on Captain Oblivious' head. (Nemesis and all, ya know.)
Don't waste it by pouring it over his head, pour it in his mouth!
Oddly, I'd rather have it poured on my head than have to drink it.
See what I mean? And you call yourself his nemesis... :lmao:

Welcome to the club! Your wife should have no problem with you being here... no girls allowed!

:welcome: Woo hoo! I think you're our first new member who's been referred by the podcast. It's nice to discover that people are listening and that the podcast brought someone new to the fold. :thumbsup2
:thumbsup2 I'm glad to see there are listeners out there that weren't part of the DIS Dads first. It is a great podcast, hopefully word will get out and it will pick up even more steam. I just downloaded episode 3 and look forward to listening to it during lunch!

Andy, are you guys driving down when you go in December?
Yes. Not sure I want to drive that far with a 22 month old, but at the same time, I know I don't want to wrestle with luggage and a 22 month old at the airport and then try to keep him occupied on the plane.

We were debating where to call it a night. Our upcoming trip is a short one, but a test to see how we do with two 6 year olds. I was thinking Lake City, FL. According to Google maps it is about 13 1/2 hrs. from Indy. I would welcome any DisDad's suggestions. :confused3

We've always driven in the past and that is where I ideally like to stay. It is a long day of driving to get to Lake City, but it is the perfect distance to get up, grab some breakfast and be on property mid-morning. We're going to St. Pete Beach for a couple of days before Disney this time, so we might stay somewhere in GA on the way down since we won't be in as big of a hurry to get there early. We're going to do the parks on our last day at WDW, so depending on how late we stay at the parks, Lake City will probably be our target for the evening of the return trip.

Time for the weekly NASCAR Fantasy League update. We had a shake up in the points as $6 Disney Racers had the high score for the second week in a row and leapfrogged up to 1st place. We're still not quite halfway through the 13 week spring segment so there's still time for some more shake ups to take place at the top!

I felt pretty good about my team this week and they were all running in the top 10 for a while. Then Kahne got ran over by Truex, Newman lost a tire, Labonte got ran over by Busch and Johnson sped on pit road :sad2:. I'm just not catching any breaks so far.

Week 6 - Goody's Fast Pain Relief 500 high score - $6 Disney Racers - 280 points
  • Kyle "Shrub" Busch
  • Clint Bowyer
  • Joey Logano
  • Travis Kvapil

The standings as of Week 6:
  1. $6 Disney Racers
  2. Mater's Racers
  3. birdslightyear
  4. Duck Martin
  5. Pride Rock Motorsports
  6. Jungle Cruisers
  7. Test Track Dummies
  8. DF Racing
  9. Rolling Thunder Racing
  10. Taxidermy Tech

Personally, I'm so disappointed with my results so far that I'll be going to Texas next week to personally bring an iron fist down on my fantasy drivers and let them know I expect nothing less than excellence.:rolleyes1 Well, maybe not that last part, but I will be at the Texas Sprint Cup race... hopefully my team will not disappoint me this week!

If anyone who isn't in this league is interested in joining, please let me know... the season is divided into 3 segments, so even though you probably can't win the whole season by joining late, you can still compete for the summer and playoff segments.

Where can I get the Disney background music in MP3 format? I've been searching around and I can't find anything specific.
