I got a 55" 3D Toshiba for Christmas. (Well, I ordered it off amazon.com on Christmas day, got it hooked up 2 weeks ago)
I wasn't going to get the 3D, but with the sale Amazon had, it was only $100 more than the comparable 2D, plus they had a deal where you got a 3D capable BluRay player and some glasses.
Dude! Excellent call. For $100 bucks I'd definitely do it.

I watched most of the BCS national championship game on ESPN 3D, plus I've seen a little bit of the Harlem Globetrotters from when they were at Disney's Wide World of Sports. Both were pretty awesome! The glasses are a bit on the heavy side, but not too bad. (they are "active" glasses, which means they are battery operated and alternate opening and closing each lens very rapidly in sync with the TV):3dglasses
It's not like Mickey's Philharmagic where jewels are floating in the middle of my living room, but seeing a football field like that really felt like I was at the game.
Awesome!

It's like Cam Newton's dad was right there, asking me for a bribe. :rotfl2:
:lmao:

Welcome, Your Greatness! :thumbsup2
Thanks!

Yeah, it's worked real well for them so far. :rotfl:

Nope. The Super Bowl will be the Packers vs. the Jets. It will be dedicated to Brett Favre in honor of his 27th retirement.

The only way I would allow the Bears in the Super Bowl is if they remade "The Super Bowl Shuffle".

Welcome to the new dads. Always great to see new additions!

That doesn't seem like that big of a deal.:confused3 I thought he asked everybody for money. He probably even panhandled outside the stadium at Auburn games.

No, he was the guy who did the Ickey Shuffle. Played for the Bungles when they lost in the Super Bowl to the Niners...

Super Bowl shuffle was the Bears team back with McMahon, the Fridge, etc.

:Glennbo and Liesa if I'm not mistaken.

Those would be the ones!

Flying down tomorrow night. Can't wait. Unfortunately anticipating rain on Friday and a chance on Saturday. Haven't packed a thing yet; trying to decide on how to pack with the questionable weather. Have your number in my contacts, Stopher. We'll probably split HS and AK on Saturday. Give me a text when you get to the parks and we'll try to meet up somewhere. Check back in with everyone on Monday evening.

Have a great time! By the way, I've been meaning to ask you...

Cool... I still find myself wondering if 3D is ever going to be more than just a way to charge $5 extra per movie ticket. Sounds like you're pretty happy with it, though. I'm gonna have to work harder to break my current TV.

Curse you Captain Oblivious and your Monkey from the Frozen Tundra!!!
Now I remember why you are my nemesis.

Da Bears!

Either way it will be a terrific game, like so many great Bears -Packers games over the years. I think my favorite game (and the one that really tells the story of which team has historically dominated) is the Dec 7, 1980 game that was won by the Bears 61-7. After the game, Dan "Danimal" Hampton, the Bears HOF defensive end, put it best when asked about the lopsided victory and Bart Starr's whining about the points scored by the Bears: "We wanted 100 pts. It couldn't have happened against a nicer bunch of beverleys"....

GO BEARS!!!!

I didn't say I was cheering for the Packers. Just trying to cheer Barry up. I just want to see a good football game.

Hey, did Chicago find any spare turf for the field yet, or are they still playing in quicksand? :confused3

Ok, crazy question about meals and cruising. I'm going on the Dream at the end of March and have reservations at Palo's with the wife. We also have our two kids which have to eat and can't go with. Do we get room service or go to our assigned meal time and not eat?

Also has anyone taken the snorkeling excursion in Nassau? Any suggestions on excursions at CC or do I just sit in a lounge chair and order boat drinks?

:rotfl2: Hey, nothing says Packers/Bears like a muddy, snowy, nasty game.

I did have to check my TV settings though last week. I couldn't figure out why the grass was brown.

I heard a rumor that when he dies they will surgically remove it and put in the Smithsonian next to other great treasures like the Hope Diamond.

Guys,

I'm giving a talk and I need a few "Well, there's your problem" cartoons, pictures, or comics. If any of you are Mythbusters fans, you know the kind of thing I'm looking for. Something humorously obvious. Can't get to photobucket to post an example from work, but this is what I'm looking for.

Does anyone have any like this? Thanks, guys!

Chris
