Ok, who's DW is dragging them shopping on Friday? Don't get me wrong, I don't mind going shopping with her, but the Friday after Thanksgiving?

I'll be wearing my Hero Gear all day (which might just get me out of it:rolleyes1)

Tell her about this really neat invention called 'the internet' and how you can shop Black Friday (or, in some instances, Thanksgiving day) from the comfort of your home without having to fight the parking and the mob of people. :lmao:

This is my bass, there are many like it, but this ones mine.........:cool1:

:thumbsup2

You had my attention at: “C. F. Martin”… I really didn’t hear another word after that. :rotfl2:

If you’re going to spend time in the doghouse, it might as well be comfortable.

:lmao: i had a feeling you would know what c.f. martin was. :thumbsup2 hopefully they dont sell out to a company in japan. (rumors have been flying for a few years now.)

Plus I can find a way to make just about every stressful shopping experience fun (for me at least); we were in Walmart last year and saw this lady jerk the last vacuum cleaner box out of some other womans hand. So I followed her around for 15 minutes until she left her cart unattended and removed it. Couldn't find the other lady to give it to so I just put it back for someone else.

:worship:

One dang fine group of Luthiers. My aunt has a rather old one (which plays fabulously) and I’ve had my hands on many newer examples, but sadly (very sadly :sad1:) I do not currently have one of their instruments in the stable. I’ve not herd the rumors, but if it were to be sold, that would be a very great loss for Nazareth and the American music industry. Hopefully it will remain no more then rumor. That’s another reason why I’ll need to get my rump up that way some time in the near. History, ships, food, guitars… I’d be walking around in a trance with my jaw hanging open for days. :lmao:

Finished the Thanksgiving decorations - which takes dds (8,6) 15 minutes to put out a few pieces and their artwork saved from years past. Going to Louisville tomorrow to a restaurant with my side of family. Then, home to prepare and get ready to cook for Thursday for DW's side of family. To really prepare for that, I went to the store for a home draft Coors Light and 4 bottles of wine. I still have a half bottle of rum for back-up. Happy Thanksgiving all Dis Dads and may we survive our relatives/ in-laws.

Genius. :rotfl2: I’d like to have the nerve to pull that off.

What restaurant are you going to? We didn't have too much time in Louisville this summer, but it was a really cool town.

:rotfl2::lmao:

My wife and I were in the grocery store last night and ended up in the liquor aisle. She gets the idea to get margarita mix and tequila for Thanksgiving. I was trying to give her a hard time and said that I didn't really consider margaritas to be a Thanksgiving type drink. She asked me what I thought would be a good Thanksgiving drink and the only response I could come up with was Wild Turkey.:confused3

We're going to have a Jimmy Buffett Thanksgiving this year!:cool2:

Stopher, I've been watching the news this morning and they've been covering the fire at Camp Belzer. Do you have any ties to that camp?

HOLY BEVERLY! Like a bunch a cackling hens in here. Been sick since Saturday and come back over a dozen pages behind it seems.
Happy early Thanksgiving to all you dads! Hope you have a lot to be thankful for. Im thankful for this group and for the brotherhood that is felt here. All fart jokes aside you guys are all awesome each in your own way. Im thankful for all of those who protect our right to have groups and interest like this freely. Those who have served abroad and serve here on our own shores. Im thankful for a family that hasnt kicked me out of the house over this obsession of mine. :rotfl: Mostly Im thankful for a Man who had a dream and a Mouse he befriended and a passion he had to make people smile! Have a happy holiday Gentlemen!!!

So, I have 34 days until check-in. Between now & then, i have:
Thanksgiving
Black Friday Shopping (i'm on the hook to find the $88 GPS)
Work "Holiday" party - Western Theme this year (it's been black tie in the past)
DW is going to remodel our Kitchen:confused3
and Christmas.
yeah, 'cause christmas break is the PERFECT time to remodel a kitchen. For me, remodeling projects are equal to... well, i'd rather sit on a package of firecrackers than have to DIY a kitchen. Maybe that's just me, but it's true.
And, i did finally get the iPod. Per "man law" i will still be involved and engaged with my children, but i've also got some of their movies saved to it, for watching in the 2 hour lines.

I did get a Hallmark Sorcerer's Hat :wizard: ornament yesterday, that plays the Fantasia song, so that was neat.
Happy Skanks-giving to anyone that's going out to the bars tonight. (though you all are probably too old to go out... :) )

I'm sorry for the obscure reference...just from a couple of episodes of Phineas and Ferb
I guess I havn't seen that one yet...

i think theres a p&f marathon on the disney chanel wednesday.:thumbsup2 not sure but i think it starts at noon.

...but hopefully I will now! Thanks Dave! I've got about 20 episodes queued up on the DVR now! (It's actually on DisneyXD if anyone else is looking for it)

Remodeling you kitchen with a -what is she now? 6 months old? Yikes:scared1:. Although, I do have pictures of my DW, 5 months pregnant, swinging a sledge hammer at our old kitchen cabinets!

close, try 11 weeks...
She did hang dry-wall while pregnant with our 3rd.
i'm against a kitchen remodel with an 11 week old, but i'm surprisingly okay with a Disney Vacation with a 4 month old.

(and thanks for the remembering about the kiddos. You either care, or are a stalker. I'll go with caring.)

Oh..yeah...I care...if you see the bushes outside your living room window move, it's..uh..just the wind. ;)

PEANUT BUTTERY BEVERLY!
We fly out in 10 days. Took DD to the doc today because she had a sore throat. Strep throat. 10 days of antibiotics. Cuttin' it a little close here, aren't we? Just have to pray that none of the rest of us pick it up from her - if we haven't already. :sad2:
