IT'S REAL.

For $750 you can by a "VIP Tour". The cost is really $125 per hour, but thre is a 6 hour minimum. 6 X $125 is $750. Park admission, gratuity for your guide and food is not included in the price.

Here is what you get for your $750:

"Our VIP Tour Services team customizes your vacation so you spend your time playing, not planning. From the moment you arrive, your personal VIP Guide is there to take care of everything - from creating your ideal itinerary to getting you the best seats in the house for live shows, parades and nighttime spectaculars."

Nowhere does it mention you get any kind of pass that alows you to go to the front of the line (like a "fastpass"). But who knows :confused3, the VIP guide may have those types of priviliges but they don't want to advertise it as it could upset the masses that you can buy that type of access.

If you're feeling the need to spluge or want more info, I found a number and email for you.

You can reach VIP Tour Services at (407) 560-4033, or e-mail them at WDW.VIP.Tours@Disneyworld.com

I have heard in the past that cast members in plaid vest are the VIP tour guides...I saw a few on our last trip and they took the families to the front of the lines ...It might have been some sort of celebrity but I had no clue who it was...obvioulsy had deeper pockets than me to afford the guide!

inconceivable!!!

Nice!

True story - I actually had someone in another forum where I have this same signature(a fantasy football forum) chastise me for being so arrogant and insulting to these great minds of history. Before I could respond, another poster informed him that I was making a joke/movie reference.

Gives me an idea - has anyone ever organized a Disney Dad's Club online Fantasy Football League? Anyone interested? They have free leagues at ESPN and CBS, I think.

I'd play.

OK. I will re-visit this sometime in late August and see who is in. I'll set up a free league at whatever site people prefer - I've used most of them so I don't care. Usually 12 teams is a good number, but we'll see who is interested. No money and only one rule - team names have to somewhat Disney-related, i.e. The Sport Goofys.

The plaid vests are definately guides.

I did one tour in the MK (the Family Magic Tour) a few trips back and we got one of those plaid jacketed guides with what looks like the jockey helmet. On this tour we did get to skip the lines for Peter Pan but that was it. It was really a scavenger hunt, not a VIP tour.

I saw your other post and had some suggestions as to meals for your son's b-day.

I'm not sure if it's offered in December, but Mickey's Backyard BBQ was my sons favorite thing that we did on our last trip for his 5th b-day. It was pricey, but the price includes entertainment, character interaction (Mickey and Minnie, Goofy, Chip, Dale, etc. dancing with the kids), food, beer & wine, mickey bars and tip. It isn't short either (its at least 2 hours or more). Factoring in all that (and all you can drink beer :thumbsup2) I had no issues with the price. We're doing it again on our next trip in August.

Other ideas that previous posters have noted are Chef Mickey's and T-Rex. We're doing T-Rex in August for the 1st time (just me and my son are going on this trip) but a friend of mine went a few months back and her 5yo and he loved it.

My final idea isn't a dinner, but an event for your son. I sent my son on the Albatros Pirate Cruise at the Yacht & Beach Club. It's a 2 hour treasure hunt (kids only with wdw guides), and he loved it. They offer the Pirate Cruises out of GF, YBC, POR and CBR.

I'd definately do it. (And another vote for yahoo - I do a baseball league and they do a good job).

I have to do some name researching. I already have some ideas.

Is anyone going to go see the A-Team movie:confused3. I kind of have mixed feelings about it since I grew up with this show. I don't know how the new cast will be after being so used to the old ones. IMO this will be a hard pull off, but I'll probably go see it anyway.

My wife and I are struggling with whether or not to go see it for the same reasons. The previews before Iron Man 2 looked surprisingly good. But I'm thinking that we'll probably wait and watch it at home on Blu-Ray.

I'll jump in! My wife is going to roll her eyes when she finds out I'm in yet another league, but she does that a lot anyway.

I've played on Yahoo and NFL.com before. Yahoo has a nice trash-talking feature that is pretty fun.
