I've been out for a few days, I guess I missed the shutdown on Club III, and the new opening of Club IV!

Nice job as always Emma's Dad, and glad to be along for the ride in the new clubhouse!

In regards to the classic car mid life wants, I just want to get another Jeep Cherokee some day. I know it's not a classic, but I had a 92 and it was my favorite car of all time. I've told myself once we get back from the World this fall, I'm gonna start hunting one down.

Ummm... Hmmmm... Let's see... DON'T PROCRASTINATE! HAHA! Otherwise... what Tim said is good :thumbsup2

Too late for 'don't procrastinate" considering it's a TR from December.

Anyhow, I have most of the text written, what's going to slow me down is uploading and linking, and of course, trying to edit it down a little (I tend to be long winded and go off on tangents a lot). Hopefully I'll get some time in the next few days to start the tedious process of uploading video's to photobucket.

I apologize guys if I'm boring you all with these vintage pics I keep finding... but my kids have all already seen them, and I have to share them with someone :rotfl:

We're all Disney geeks! Of course you're not boring us. I'm fascinated by the old pictures. Very cool! :thumbsup2

Speaking of past Disney, All Ears has a write-up on the old Horizons ride at Epcot (Mission: Space sits in that spot now). I loved Horizons when I was a kid. It was cool to re-live the ride.

Since alot of us are getting into our 40's (getting close to the mid-life crisis:lmao:) What Classic Car or Truck pre 1975 would you most like to own if you have the opp.

Mine would be a 1969 Shelby 500 KR Convertible

There is no wrong answer here, just curious what everyone would want:confused3

'51 Willy's Jeep.

A guy had one for sale around here a few years ago. I would drive by it every day on my way to work. It was wasn't pretty (definitely a diamond in the rough). I just wasn't in a point in my life (2 very young kids) to buy it. One day, though I'll track one down. :thumbsup2

You makin' cracks about Chicago again?

Oh, and for all you Bud drinkers out there, think of this. Chicago reversed the flow of the river so instead of flowing into Lake Michigan it flows down to St. Louis. Guess where all the effluence from Chicago gets "pumped". Yup right into the Intake for the Bud brewery. :rotfl2:
:crazy2:
Now if you can only stop those Asian Carp from getting into Lake Michigan and destroying it's entire ecosystem, that would be great.

I thought those were crappie. :rolleyes1

I'm not bored with them. Most of them are awesome. Most of them. That one with Minnie creeped me out.

My brother had a 1990 Cherokee. It was a sweet ride. He modified it for off-roading. Before he got a truck and trailer to haul it to the trails, he would drive it. I sounded like an angry swam of bees coming at you with those big studded tires flying down the highway at 60mph!
I have a 98 Grand Cherokee now. DW is starting to make some noise about trading in for a new one. Over my dead body. Yeah, its starting to show its age, but with only 160,000 miles on it, its just starting to get broke in!

It looks like our GKTW site has stalled at $680. :confused3 I hope this picks up again soon!

I was just going to say the same thing! Looks like the more, more, more we want more guy may have to show up over there like he does on the tr's:rotfl2:

:rotfl: It was pretty bad. Even my Annie said, "What's Minnie doing? Isn't she the one who's supposed to look at the camera? Isn't that her job? She's looking at Pama's hair" It brings to mind the sidebar topic posed on Tim's TR - it really makes you wonder what the guy or girl inside that costume is thinking while having to stand there all day and pose with strange kids for pictures like that. I wouldn't want that job, and am very glad that was never my assignment while a CM.

YOu mean Pre-1972. After that, they all were junkers. My first car was a '72 Plymouth Duster w/ Slant 6. Not worth doing anything with. Then I had a '75 Chevy C10 pickup that was pretty fast. I had a '70 Chevelle Malibu that I ended up selling and not restoring. I did rebuild a '70 Monte Carlo. I never got the interior done, but sold it in '98 when I mvoed to MN. I build a 383 SBC and it ran 11.55 sec @ 115mph in the quarter mile.

Now I'm thinking more of a family car. Maybe a Hudson Hornet or 50's Chevy. Kinda out-grew the muscle car as every where you look you see your muscle cars: Mid-Late 60's - 70 Chevelle, Nova, Camaro (67-70), Mustang...

My brother has been pushing me to buy the 2010 Camaro as he has a 2009 Challenger modified and on the juice. My friend has a rare Mustang all cranked up as well....My Cousine also has a Challenger tricked out.

So I'll say undecided until I buy something again.

Great pic! This reminds me of my second car when I was in high school... 72 Monte Carlo... poop brown! HAHA! That thing was a tank! Loved that car. As far as what car I would want... there's too many to choose from. I've always had my eyes set on a 68-69 Camaro, though. That body style is just s-e-x-y.

I can't speak for anyone else Chris, but I know I'm enjoying the classic Disney pics!

Most definitely! Keep 'em coming!

Glad you found us on the new thread! And I'll send out another big Welcome to all those who have thanks me for starting the thread. It's an honor and privilege to put this thread up there for the team. Too bad I don't have access to the new Dad's web site here at work

I do too, but mine is only at 145,000. It's great, and I love it. Sure it's got a few problems, but what car doesn't. Overall it's very comfortable and yeah - it's just barely broken in.

Recently my oldest has started to lay claim on my Jeep, as he's now 14 and of course has begun the, "you know dad, I'll be driving soon" routine. BUT as I've retorted back to him, his mom's van will probably be available about the time he's ready to actually drive - BUT he won't even be getting his license until he earns his Eagle rank in Scouts first. Then, also, he's got to get a job if he wants to be able to support any kind of driving habit since gas & insurance aren't free. Any actual ride itself probably won't just be handed to him either... even though my parents did hand both my brother and I our very first cars - their very used, not much life left in them hand-me downs when they each went and got themselves something nicer and newer. My brother got a 1976 Chevy Chevette, and I got a 1979 Subaru...something - it was that memorable. Neither car, my brother's nor mine, lasted more than a year or two and then we were having to replace them ourselves.

I'm not "mechanical" so fixing something isn't in my skill set. My neighbor (mechanic) has a hunk of rust that resembles a '65 mustang coupe,(65? i dunno for sure.) which he's CLAIMED he's going to work on for the past 4 years.:rolleyes1

St. Louis has some of the cleanest and best drinking water in the country, thanks to the wonderful engineers at treatment workers for city and county water supply:mad:. ALSO, AB isn't the only brewer in town. Schlafly's market share is really picking up, thanks to a town angry at Inbev. (I feel the need to defend almost everything St. Louis... Except the Rams. And I don't think ANYONE would fault me for jumping off THAT bandwagon...:rotfl:

my MIL has a 98 cherokee classic with about 185,000 miles on it. I REALLY want to turn it into a daily driver/wheeler, but she keeps on keeping it going, which on the 4 litre inline 6, she can do for another 185,000 miles. I have a feeling i'm not going to get my wheeler.:confused3

Here it is guys my dream car.....

2005_Dodge_GrandCaravan_ext_1.jpg

oh that right has to be pre 1972. In that case, I would love to have a '55 Chevy Pick-Up or a '66-'67 Chevelle.
