I reported him too. I had to bite my tongue (or typing fingers) to keep my post civil. boy, he is really prejudiced and biased. And just mean.

I wanted to tell him to kiss my big FAT ****!

Kate is right, our weather is crappy, but we finally had a decent open house!

Our realtor said that three couples came through. One couple seemed very interested and they actually came back with their own agent! Of course, I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but that sounds promising!

Meanwhile, I've just been feeling very weird. I keep telling Kevin that we need to be prepared for Matthew to arrive any day. I can't even pinpoint specific reasons for this...it's just a gut feeling. Part of me wants to be wrong (we are so not ready for him yet :goodvibes ) but the rest of me wants all the uncomfortable aspects of pregnancy behind me!

Amy :)

Congrats on a good open house. I hope you see some results. I remember that feeling you are talking about. I started feeling it a few days before Terra was born. Of course, two weeks before my mom and I had independently determined the day she would be born and lo and behold we were right. In case you head to the hospital before I get a chance to see the post...best wishes in advance for a nice and safe delivery.

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to pop in and say hello in case anyone was worried ;)

We got home from our (amazing) cruise on Thursday at about midnight..... slept for 6 hours, showered, and closed on the house! Things were SO smooth. In and out in 45 minutes, with keys in hand -- thanks for the pixie dust before we left. In true Disney fashion, the cruise made me forget about EVERYTHING at home except maybe once or twice, for about 10 minutes at a time when I got online to check up on things.

I think Amy posted that I passed my test, so thanks for the confidence in that as well! I'm glad you all thought I could do it, becasue I didn't! ;)

This weekend has been hectic, as I assumed. We left our closing meeting a noon, then went to my parents to finish packing there. We took a few car loads to the new house and unpacked all night Friday. Saturday morning we picked up the UHaul (never again -- they have LOST our business, but I'd rather not rehash that ;) ) and moved every last thing from the storage unit to the house. My SIL (who, keep in mind, is normally entirely selfish) and her boyfriend were a tremendous help, as my parents were out of town all weekend in meetings for the church. So everything was unloaded as of yesterday, and we unpacked as much as we could but were BEAT. So we went and bought some necessity groceries and went to bed fairly early (well, 10:30 -- but early for the last few days!). Today we went to church, sams, and are back to unpacking -- hoping to be done tomorrow before Kyle starts on Tuesday.

I promise I took good notes for a trip report, and lots of pictures. I have most of them up on my desktop, but we won't have internet until this Friday ( ) I'm going through withdrawal (and also had to check for an important email  ) so I came to Panera for a bit and thought I'd pop in. You'd think we moved to the boonies, as all of our utilities, etc are taking almost a week to set up -- even though we called before we left! It's a new neighborhood, so I guess everything just takes longer. My poor mother keeps getting phone calls to look things up for us, as we don't even have a phone or phone book (besides our cells).

I really intend to catch up on every page (you know me) but I can't afford to sit here and start back on p2432, while Kyle is home working. So I'll be back when I can, and I'll catch up and share about our trip, etc.

Hope everyone is doing well! :goodvibes

Congratulations and welcome back!!! You are doing one speedy move in. I am very impressed. I hope that you get everything hooked up quickly. For one, I can't wait to hear all about your trip!! :teeth:

Just found out there are NO 7 day Disney cruises next summer as the Magic is going to the Mediterranean. That sucks. So if I want to do a cruise next summer, it will be non-Disney. I really wanted their first cruise to be Disney. I don't want to take the kids out of school if I can help it. Should I look at a non-Disney cruise? What would you do?

Hi Denise,

We found internet right across the street, so I just had to tell you that when DH and I went on a cruise with Norwegian Cruise Lines, they were very family friendly. Some of the different ships have a theme week and they are really so much fun. We did the big band week and got to see Tony Bennet and watched the stage show of 42nd St and the original star 'Ruby Keeler' came on stage and waved HI. It was the best time we ever had.
I promise I will write more later and post pictures. Today so far was the only day that it rained.

I'm really getting worried about Chuck. He is getting worse. I sure hope the Celebrex starts doing what it is supposed to soon. We got two beds last night because he is having so much trouble sleeping and he wanted to try sleeping in his own bed. He has said that there are times in the night when I put my hand on his shoulder and he wants to scream because of the pain. I'm praying that this is viral. He is such an active person. We've been talking about our plans for after Becky graduates and it all involves camping, biking, kayaking & hiking trips. I'm worried if this can't be resolved, that the next issue we'll be dealing with is his depression. I'm already starting to see that it might become an issue. June 21st can't come fast enough for me. Thanks for all your thoughts & prayers. It helps!!!

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: I am so sorry that Chuck is in so much pain. I hope that this next appointment brings the answers he needs!

Well, this must be the day for bad news. I just got off the phone with my dad. His cousin, and best friend, committed suicide this morning. "Uncle" Richard never married, was eccentric (that's the nicest way to put it), and didn't really have any friends other than one sister and my family. Recently, he "decided" he had cancer. However, he never got it diagnosed by any doctor. He'd been making cryptic remarks about "taking care of the problem", but we thought we'd talked him out of it.

I guess this morning, he decided he didn't want to be a burden to anyone (as if), so he went to the cemetery with his shotgun, and shot himself. My dad is really shaken up, and is now blaming himself. I tried to tell him that uncle Dick made the choice to end his life, and there was nothing more that any of us could have done. We've opened our homes and hearts to him for the last 76 years, but in the end, it was his decision. It's cold comfort for my dad, though.

I hate to see dad going through this. It was just last year that he lost his sister to cancer. He's really having a hard time. If you could add him to your prayers, I'd be grateful.

Thanks for letting me share this.

:grouphug: for your dad and family. I hope that he is able to find comfort soon.

Have you guys heard about this ringtone that kids are using but it is supposed to be too high pitch for adults to hear

I could hear it - can anyone else?

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5434687

Chris and I could hear a humming noise when the volume was turned way up. Not really sure if we were hearing the ringtone or if it was just the program that was playing it :confused3

This is so good to hear Denise! I am so happy for Rees & for you :cheer2:

Rees has done so well this week. He never needed any pain meds and has been eating around the clock. He has a voracious appetite again. He is feeling very good and went swimming today and rode his new bike (for his 6th birthday on June 23rd) for about 30 minutes. You can barely even see 2 of the 4 incisions they have healed so nicely. He's a completely new child. We agree with the surgeon that this appears to have been the source of all his pain and GI problems. We are just so grateful that Dr. Wulkan figured out what was wrong.

John and I want to express our deep gratitude to you all for keeping Rees and our family in your prayers over the past 2 months. Your concern, emails, calls, and cards mean more to us than you can know. [/left]

HI EVERYBODY!!!!

I am so sorry that I haven't been around much lately  . I have missed everybody SO much, and I have been reading (as much as I can)!!!

I am so glad that I read one more page before heading to bed. It's great to hear from you, Julie! I am glad that everything is going well for you. The vacation sounds like it was wonderful. We are hoping to do that with my mom's family sometime in the next few years. Congratulations to Kyle on his advance placement. That is a wonderful acheivement!

I hope that we will see you more now! Enjoy that pool!!

The quotes on the frame are from a Maroon 5 song that the band dedicated to her.

Kate,

I can't believe what that guy said!!! How Rude!!! You have so much more class than he could ever hope to have.
