I posted this on the weight loss thread too, but wanted to make sure Deb saw it...

Deb -- since you are sewing today ... Can swim suits be taken in successfully? Anything I should know about working with this kind of fabric? I bought a new suit at the beginning of May knowing I would need a smaller suit, but it now appears I need an even smaller suit. It is not an option to go buy another one at this point as they are VERY expensive and this one has only been worn twice.

Wanted to give you all the "official" surgery update.

The surgeon called late Friday night with the pathology report. It came back showing "Chronic Cholecystitis" Cholecystitis is an inflammation of the gallbladder wall and nearby abdominal lining. Cholecystitis is usually caused by a gallstone in the cystic duct, the duct that connects the gallbladder to the hepatic duct. Other causes of cholecystitis may include gallbladder sludge which is what the surgeon saw on the abdominal ultrasound. Chronic just means it had been going on for a significant period of time.

Rees has done so well this week. He never needed any pain meds and has been eating around the clock. He has a voracious appetite again. He is feeling very good and went swimming today and rode his new bike (for his 6th birthday on June 23rd) for about 30 minutes. You can barely even see 2 of the 4 incisions they have healed so nicely. He's a completely new child. We agree with the surgeon that this appears to have been the source of all his pain and GI problems. We are just so grateful that Dr. Wulkan figured out what was wrong.

John and I want to express our deep gratitude to you all for keeping Rees and our family in your prayers over the past 2 months. Your concern, emails, calls, and cards mean more to us than you can know. ​

Denise I'm so glad that you have a close to what caused all Rees pain.

Deb, parents can't stop worrying when their kids reach adulthood. My mother is a worrier! She worries about everything. If I didn't do all the things that she worries about, I'd never do anything. I've learned not to let her know about some of the things that I do so that she doesn't have to worry so much. Unfortunately, Katrina, Becky & I picked up that gene! However, I learned that I have to go with my instincts which is the advice I give to you. Listen to your own instincts!!!!!! Don't let worry about not letting them win color the decision that you make. You know what is right for you!

Don't let my kids know I told you it was ok for you because it isn't ok for them!

Thanks all for your prayers and good thoughts for the ENT.
He said that there is still some thickening in my sinus, and he said the possibility is surgery..but the risks of the surgery and the pain involved made me decide not to do it right away..Since i am getting better, i figured it wasnt worth it right now, and he said that was fine..So for now, im okay..thanks!

Hi, everyone. Busy with trying to get stuff ready for our beach trip. Sure am glad we didn't go this week. The eye is right over where we're staying in FL. shouldn't be any damage, but it would have been WET! I hope we get some of the rain here. Our county is on a complete outdoor watering ban as it is so dry and HOT!

And so off I go to the next top ten emergency list item. Along with DH wanting me to sit in front of the at night after the girls go to bed, I don’t get any DDA time. (you can feel sad for me know)


Here is how off we are in this house right now. Yesterday was my 7 year anniversary and neither of us remembered until well after lunch. Nothing special was done due to time not being our friend, but maybe we will get to do something is weekend.



AND…… it has come to our attention that I will need to bring in some money in order for DD’s to both go to the preschool we want as well as gymnastics classes and now Ellie wants to be in ballet. SSSOOOO… I want my and eat it too (I can want can’t I ). I am looking into becoming a Notary so I can bring in money off and on. I also hope to become a loan officer later this year so I can bring in enough to pay for a full year of the preschool for both girls… I don’t think the notary deal will bring in enough, but then again it could.



With all that said I am off again to try to catch up.

It's official!! I am going to be in the DC area for the meet!!
Only downside is the cheapest flights were for my birthday so I have to fly on my birthday.

We won a family pass to see Cars tonight so I will make sure to give a review. That's if we get to see it (it's a first come, first on list, first seated deal).

Another Clarism I am guessing that your widescreen is our windshields. I have to replace a windshield every couple of years as I always seem to catch a stone off a big truck. Sorry about using your Disney money.

Hi!!

I figured I had better check in before you think I fell off the edge of the earth!!

As I am sure Vicki told you, things are crazy around here!!!! I haven't done much Dising lately (except for my obsession with the CP release dates )

Kyle's 3rd birthday is Saturday and we have about 50 people coming over to celebrate. I have spent every spare minute in PhotoImpact making invitations, goody bags etc. for the Bob the Builder Party. Amy, I made 3 batches of Cookie Dough the other night and about 100 hammers, shovels, hard hats, traffic cones and Bob Builder heads. These cookie are to die for!! Thanks for the recipe!!

On another note- we have finally passed the potty training hurdle!!!!!!!!!!!! He has been in regular underwear since the end of April and is dry every night and after every nap! It felt like a long time coming, but once it "clicked" that was that!!

I can't believe my "baby" is turning 3- he is such a big boy now!!

We are also working on the outside of the house again, adding a brick paver driveway and sidewalk leading to the back to join the patio. Next step- Rainbow Swing Set which Kyle is getting for his birthday.

I hope everything is OK with everyone and I hope to be pack posting like normal in the next couple of weeks again. (Paula- have you seen how many of us are going the end of November, beginning of December?? Start sewing those pillowcases now!!!! Seriously, Vicki, PM'd me a picture- they are too cute!!!!!!!)
