Guess what?!

I've got a date!!! Well, not a date date, but a coffee date, Monday morning while the kids are at school. What does one wear on a coffee date?

Please, weather gods, do not send the storm that they are forecasting. My kids NEED to go to school on Monday!!!!

That is great! Have you rescheduled yet?

You've always look great in all your pictures-even in shorts and T at Disney. I'm sure you'll look beautiful in anything!

I can't believe my luck today!!!! While I was at bowling, Alan went through his side of the closet and got rid of clothes that don't fit him anymore, and also got rid of shoes!!! I can see the floor in our closet again!!! Hooray!!! I was so pleased, I promised him I'd help him in the garage tomorrow! It was a good day!

Have I said how much I love that guy of mine???

How wonderful! I need to do some of that. And DH too!

I swear that my 3yo did not teach him that! Seems like he's on the same schedule as Terra and Emma. If we lived closer they could have late night playdates while the Moms took turns getting sleep.
Now that sounds fun!

You guys ready for some bouquet pictures? I have it narrowed down to a selection of 4, all with flowers I like and don't like. I have a favorite, but I'll try not to tell until the end. Let me know your favorite!!! Forgive me in advance for taking a whole page!!!
I liked #4 the best with #3 a close 2nd.

And because as I was looking for these I found this picture and had to share it. It was one of the funniest pictures of Terra as a baby. Phil dubbed it "Sweet Adeline" as she looks like she's in a Babershop Quartet.

I LOVE that one!!!

I read this on the TPAS board and thought I would post it here for you all to see. It's a video of the Dream Along with Mickey show, and disney is introducing "rubberheads", characters with moving eyes and mouths.

http://www.thedisneyblog.com/tdb/
Thanks for posting. I didn't watch that show so I didn't notice them. Won't some kids question why the meet & greet characters don't do that?

So I've been putzing around the house this morning trying to figure out what I'm going to do today since the kids aren't here. Then it dawned on me..........

I NEED TO PACK!!!!!!

Duh! Blond moment.
You still need to pack.:rotfl: I should come help you. I love to pack. But you don't need any more nasty bugs in your house.

Well, we got up early and cleaned our garage. Then I took Katie and Jacob out for pizza (they got Book It! coupons from school), now Im relaxing, and later Alan is taking me out for dinner for my birthday. My actual birthday is on Monday, but he has to work, so tonight is our celebration!
Happy Birthday Glynis :bday: party:

Today is my grand niece's first birthday. If she was 1 day earlier she would have been on Emma's birthday. My niece's older brother was born the day we were married-easy to remember his birthday and how old he is.

Wow! I just learned something new. This is so cool. When you quote someone, there is an arrow to the right of their name in the quote. If you click that, it will take you back to where they posted this. Then if they quoted someone, you can go back to that post. So cool!!!!! You may all know this already but I thought I'd share because figure maybe there are others like me that didn't know it. This is going to be so helpful to me!!!!
That is so cool-thanks for sharing!

It looks like Becky & I may go parasailing when we are at Disney in Feb. This is something she would really like to do but I don't think she'll do it alone. I'm sure that I also would really enjoy it.
How cool!!! Will you take a disposable camera to take photos?

Here is a practical use for that little arrow in the quote. Instead of having to hit the back arrow three times after responding to someone, click the arrow after responding to someone elses post. It will return you to where you were!
Great idea-thanks!

Well, i just finished the audience challenge for WPASADI...im not too happy with it, but i have no clue what else to do..
anyone around feel like looking at it and giving any suggestions?
I haven't even looked at any of the WPASADI stuff except the logos. Did the stories all get posted in one spot or did you submit them some other way? I would really love to read them all. Hope all the DDA stories make it to the final 12.

Someone posted this on the creative community board. I really thought these were really nice. I may just make one for myself. Not just for autographs but so I can use when I get back.

Vicki,
I had the characters sign my clip board but it doesn't show up all that well. Maybe you could paint the clipboard or cover with light colored paper and have them sign the clipboard.

These are some really neat Disney ideas that I found searching on that site myself.

I loved that first one! Thanks!

May is one of our favorite times of year to visit the world. Except for the darn love bugs! Hopefully they won't be out in full force this year.
I don't remember that at all from either of my May trips.

So I survived work and the Girl Scout Me and My Guy Dance today. There were about 115 girls and 90 men, mostly fathers but some uncles, brothers, family friends, Grandpa's etc. They all had an absolute blast, the only complaint that we heard was near the beginning and that was that there wasn't enough seats. That was while they were still arriving, however they quickly found out the true reason they were there to dance and they did.

Myself and my co-leader took pictures of all the girls and the man in their life. We had 3 cameras, 7 memory cards and 4 photo printers. We were taking a few pictures passing off the memory cards and moving onto a new card while the pictures printed as they took forever or so it seemed.

I took Brooksie but I completly forgot about him:sad2: :sad2: as I was so busy.

I had a nice chat with my co-leader about how well this year is going and how much happier the girls seem and that they are actually showing up to events, we have been having near perfect attendance and that is pretty impressive with 16 middle schoolers. Last year she said with the same girls was totally different they didn't want to go to things and weren't showing up.

Reason this discussion came up is because she wants to know what I am doing next fall because by Thinking Day the end of February, the Service Unit will want to know if we plan on leading again next year. Co said she was thinking this was going to be last year but is reconsidering after talking to a potential bridging leader, as long as she knows she has commitment from someone who will do something AKA me.:lmao: Our 3rd co hasn't done much of anything and she doesn't want someone who is just a warm body.

6-18 months ahead of time is so hard for me to plan. Who knows where I will be or what I will be doing. It isn't a matter of whether or not I want to do it, it is a matter of if I will be able to do it. I have enjoyed this year, it has been so much less stress and I get along with her very well. Her daughter was in tears when her Mom had told her she wasn't doing Girl Scouts next year. So we will see what happens.

I hope this isn't too confusing.
Sounds like a nice night! Last year Lizzy's dance was early Feb. I haven't heard anything about it yet.

Here's an example of the love this kid had for his stuffed Mickey bear:

disney12-06182.jpg
:grouphug: Poor Matt.

We kept our DGS last night so that his mom could go out and celebrate with her sister, poor little guy was just fine and then he told us his stomach hurt. He's been throwing up ever since.
Poor kid! :wizard:

 :cool1: :cheer2: :woohoo: :dance3: pirate: princess: Guess what, I go to WDW this Thursday and FINALLY get to meet Marti!!!!!!
I'm sure you guys will have a grand time! Can't wait to hear all about the party and see photos!

I always tell myself that they will see through it some day. And it could be worse for them if he wasn't involved at all. (Although I've always secretly wished he wasn't). I hate when I hear my kids say something that I know came right out of their dad's mouth, but I would never say anything bad about him or put the kids in the middle, so I bite my tongue as much as I possibly can. It won't always be easy, but I can tell you and the kids will be ok.

I hope you won't take this the wrong way as I know my situation isn't that same but this reminded me....The Friday before Christmas I took Lizzy shopping for her to buy something for Joe, Emma, and DH. On the way home Lizzy said "Mom, what are we going to do for my birthday?" Its on May 22nd and Joe's is Jan 10, Emma's Jan 21 so between Joe & Emma's birthdays and CHRISTMAS...there were lots of other things happening before her birthday. I said "I don't know yet Lizzy." And she says "I don't want to go to Disney." :scared1: Why? "I'd miss Cohasset too much." :scared1: :scared1: Now those words must have come straight out my DH's mouth. I told her "Going to Disney for your birthday last year was very special. I wasn't planning on taking you to Disney for your birthday. BUT...there are many beautiful and amazing places in the world. You cannot be afraid to leave home. It will always be there waiting for you." I think she must have said something like "Daddy, don't you wish you were in Disney too." when I was at WDW with Joe and his response instead of "you had your special trip with Mom in May" must have been "no, I'd miss Cohasset too much".

I've since told her that we are going as a family in August and she's very excited. I've also told DH we are going for more than 7 nights. I haven't told him 10 yet-just more than 7. We'll work up to the 10 slowly. I've got to plot out our days, all our eating and a few new fun things for us to do before I tell him 10.

This is when we were opening our Wedding Gifts. Notice how baby faced my groom was

Not taken wrong at all, it's a cute story. I know it is perfectly normal for the kids to say things like that, and it's actually kind of funny most of the time. But now mine are grown up for the most part, and I still hear it from time to time. I always hope that they will see through him, and not believe everything he tells them. And actually they do, but being that he is my ex I am sure I am just over sensitive to hearing anything that I think came from him. But believe it or not I will admit he is not an awful person.

I just read this on ALLEARS.

starting January 18, 2007, the price of Disney's Photo CD increases from $99.95 to $124.95:scared1:

Anne Marie - I saw that about the Photo Pass CD. But supposedly now they are including the borders and whatever, so that justifies the price increase. I don't use all the fancy borders and enhancements, so I wish they would give you a choice.
That would be great but I hope they open more places you do this-like every resort giftshop would be nice.

The only reason we bought the CD last summer was because our friends went half on it with us. My one friend has all sorts of gadgets so he just copied the CD when we got home. The jump from $50 (our portion last time) to $125 this time could definitely be a deal breaker! We'll just have to see how many photos we have on the card after 8 days and decide if it is really worth it. So many of the photos we had last time were off center, duplicates of almost the same exact pose, etc. that if w had been buying it just for us I might not have done it.
Would you guys have interest in splitting the cost 3 ways in Aug? Wait and see if we have any good ones?

Yea, our photopass pictures were either duplicates of what we had already or they were off center too. Some were just plain bad so I am not sure we are going to but it this time.

I did buy the CD last Aug and probably shouldn't have. There were only 38 pictures total and this is the best one.
DisneyPhotoImage135.jpg

I agree that some of the photos just aren't that great. I keep bringing the same photopass card back with me. So when I went in Aug the photos from May were still there and put on CD but I had already purchased the CD in May. When I went in Dec the Aug photos were still there. I did LOVE a few from Dec so I didn't want to chance that they'd still be there in Aug.

This isn't a great photo but Pal Mickey is in it and Elin's shirt (thanks again!):

And I'll post this one as I haven't had a chance to take a photo of the completed project yet. Here is the pillowcase I made for Joe using Maria Name designs. The characters seemed to really get a kick out of it.
