The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 13

GODD NIGHT!!!!!! I leave you all for the day and you have a wild posting party.

I just am making a quick stop because the girls will be going to bed soon. We are almost done with pizza and movie night. I also just got off the phone with DH. We are all ready for a good family time on Sunday.

Let me get the girls cleaned up and in bed, I should be 1/2 hour to 45 min. give or take.

Well lets see...what did I do today???
Normally our office is staffed with 9 people. Today we only had 3, yes 3, people working! Needless to say, it was a fun day!
Since our merge with another AAA club, they've been trying to consolidate some things. Starting October 1st, we go from getting paid twice a month to every other week. It's gonna be rough to adjust...I have bills scheduled to come out on the 1st and the 15th of every month; now I actually have to go through them and see the due date...have to reschedule my car payment date...I thought it was rough going from every other Friday to twice a month, but the more I look at it, it's gonna be harder going back to this!
Came home from work and made a really good crustless spinach quiche. (Bob's doing that no carb thing...) It turned out really good! Extremely cheesy, I might add another egg next time to give it a little bit more eggy-ness next time. And I'll have to play with the recipe now that I can make it!
We just finished watching Justice; that was great! I love the ending and finding out the "truth" to the story...interesting twist!
Gonna go do a load of clothes, and then DIS for a while!

I would love the recipe for the quiche! Pretty please with sugar free Cool Whip on top?????

After a very frustrating day we got the final word on our situation, since our line runs into her property in the area that is easement it actually belongs to the county and we can dig it up if we have to to fix our plumbing. So hopefully we will have it taken care of next weekend.

Dawn, I'm glad to hear that things are going well with Caroline, I will continue prayers for her, you, and the rest of your family. Don't forget to take care of yourself.

I enjoyed the race for the milestone today even if I did miss it by 1, Congratulations again Jen.

Hi, Geri! I'm having a great, great evening!!! I just got a call from my younger brother. He was calling to let me know when he and his girlfriend were getting here tonight. I can't wait to see him!!!!! Then, he drobs a bomb: He and DGF are getting married!!!!! He just barely proposed and called me first thing! I'm so EXCITED!!!!! I love this girl, and she has done wonders for my brother! I can't wait until she's legally my sister!!!!!

Hi everyone--I just need to vent-so feel free to skip this post!

On Wednesday, I start my senior year of college. This is my last semester of classes, as I will begin student teaching in january. Tonight, I get an email that my Friday education class (required to graduate) may be cancelled due to an emergency with the professor. There is one other time to take it, when i already have class, so I cannot make it..If I dont take this class, I wont graduate.
I have been talking to alot of people from my classes and no one has any clue what is going on...They said they dont want to reschedule this class, which really messes us all up..
on top of that, our advisor left last semester, so we dont even have anyone to email to see what to do!

Sorry for the vent guys---im just stressing!

I'm so sorry. That is incredibly frustrating!!! I hope, for your sake, that it gets resoved very quickly!

LOL, I just got an email for my 20th high school reunion coming up this summer

I probably shouldn't post this as I will once again be a brat but my 20th high school reunion will be in 2020. Talk about cool numbers.

Although I'm not the youngest around here there are other who are younger than me.

Crustless Spinach Quiche:
1 T vegetable oil
1 chopped onion
1 10oz package frozen spinach, thawed and drained
5 eggs, beaten (I'd add one more to cut back on the cheesyness...)
3 cups shredded Muenster cheese (I used cheddar cuz that's all I had)
1/4 t. salt
1/8 t. black pepper
Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease 9 in pie pan.
Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat; add onions and cook until soft. Add spinach and stir until excess moisture is evaporated.
In a large bowl, combine eggs, cheese, salt and pepper. Add spinach mixture and scoop into pie pan.
Bake in oven until eggs are set about 30 minutes to 35 minutes. Let set 10 minutes before serving.

I also had issues with school yesterday and today. I got a notice yesterday in the mail that my tuition payment is past due. It was dated 8/25/06 and postmarker 8/28/06 and stated that tuition isn't due until 9/1/06. How can something be marked past due if it isn't past the due date???

Well I checked my bank account to see if my check cleared, it had. I wrote them an email saying I thought it was incorrect to mail someone a past due notice before the item is actually due. I said a reminder telling you that your tuition is due would have made more sense. I also mentioned in the email that according to my bacnk account the check had already cleared.

They sent me an email back saying that they had not received my tuition check. It turns out they have no idea where it ended up. Normally tuition payments go to the registrars office, but mine is supposed to go specifically to the program as it is a special program which is where I mailed it to but somehow it ended up in the wrong spot and they don't know where it ended up. I spent about an hour on the phone and I won't know anything until the middle of next week due to the holiday. They did tell me they will manually clear the system for me as the check has cashed so no late fees.

They are guessing the envelope or the check ended up in a wrong pile and was deposited to the wrong place as they all are marked with just the school name. I just hope they figure out what happened. Luckily I sent the email complaining about the past due notice or I wouldn't have had any clue it didn't end up at the right spot.
