On Wednesday, I start my senior year of college. This is my last semester of classes, as I will begin student teaching in january. Tonight, I get an email that my Friday education class (required to graduate) may be cancelled due to an emergency with the professor. There is one other time to take it, when i already have class, so I cannot make it..If I dont take this class, I wont graduate.
I have been talking to alot of people from my classes and no one has any clue what is going on...They said they dont want to reschedule this class, which really messes us all up..
on top of that, our advisor left last semester, so we dont even have anyone to email to see what to do!
Sorry for the vent guys---im just stressing!

Cinderella and her prince are there to hide a garbage can. After I uploaded this, I changed the font on the wording, but I don't want to re-upload now.

Just thought I would stop in and thank you all for the well wishes and prayers
I have been having full blown anxiety attacks all week and actually begged Steve not to drive to the hospital - I told him I was going to tell them I ate a HUGE breakfast and might be pregnant to avoid surgery - my nurse was laughing and said to me at one point - "you do realize this is elective surgery don't you?"
But don't worry - once the gave me my "happy shot" it was smooth sailing - I was out for about an hour and left the hospital about an hour later - I came home and slept all afternoon and now I contemplating dinner -I have felt pretty nausous and walking in the house made me throw up but I have taken some phenergan and I am getting pretty hungry -
the doctor told Steve he was able to fix it and it was pretty bad and definately needed to be fixed - and I should be back to new pretty soon - I have 6 weeks of physical therapy
I got a shot of mrphine at about 2:00 at the hospital but I haven't needed any more pain medicine yet - I am sure I just jinxed myself - I am so exhausted - I might just go back to sleep!!!
I love it.Steamboat Marti said:hey Amy...

Thanks for the suggestion of the Apnea Monitor. The dr said he has no problem sending us home with one. He said the insurance won't like it, but with the episode she had he wouldn't have any problem justifying it. He said Home Health will come out and work with us on it.
He's increasing her Reglan to the maximum dose and said maybe we'll go home tomorrow, but he has no problem keeping her a few more days if he's not satisfied with her progress. She was spitting up while he was in here so he saw everything first hand. He said his goal is to keep it from being so forceful that it comes up through her nose.
We've already talked to the nurse about getting signed up for the infant CPR class. I've had it several times but I definitely need a refresher. We also talked to him about what else we needed to know in case it happened again and he said just have lots of bulb syringes where we can easily get to them and suction her nose and mouth.
We also discussed that when both Christopher and Caroline had these episodes they were strapped in the infant carrier and she hasn't been put in that position since she's been in the hospital. He said tomorrow we're going to feed her and put her in and watch what happens. I'm just so thankful that we can go through some of these scenarios while we're in the hospital. I'm still skittish about being home with her, even with the monitor.
We're so blessed to have a high level NICU here. I just took it for granted that there were hospitals like this everywhere. My MIL is on the Board of Directors here and she educated me on how specialized things are here. We've also been very lucky that the head Neonatologist has been here for the last few days, and will be here throughout the weekend. We absolutely love this dr.
It seems so strange that football starts tomorrow and we're not a part of it at all. We gave our tickets to my SIL and her husband. This game won't be on TV so we hope to catch it on the radio or possibly the Internet. I had to laugh last night, though. Brian's mom brought us a gift from family friend. She made Caroline these beautiful bibs and burp cloths, and one of the cloths had a purple and gold tiger print band at the bottom and had "I spit purple and gold" embroidered on it. How appropriate on all accountsI love the new picture of the kids in their crimson! It's the wrong color, but they're still too cute for words

Thanks again for the advice and support. I know things could be much worse than they are, but she's my baby and I just can't imagine my life without her. I'm so scared because I still feel this is a life threatening condition for her. I know you understand that feeling as well. We went through this with Christopher so we know what we're facing.
