I'm thinking there might be another DDA baby announcement sometime in the future.

Instead of a "Bennifer" watch, we'll have our own "Kylnnifer" watch! ;)

Ok Kristin, I'm officially done responding to your posts! :rotfl:

Just ignore my previous two, and I'll make a seperate window or something to keep track of things I ask or tell you that will need changed in just a matter of minutes! :teeth:

:rotfl2: I kept on laughing as I was reading them!

I'm just not a fan of the dark paper. My shirts last year were a 50/50 split as to which held up (irregardless of the paper I used)- it seemed to matter more on the shirt. My big sloppy Jerzees 100% cotton that I made for sleep shirts still look outstanding (over 100 washes later since I wear them all the time!) but the 100% cotton fitted shirts didn't make it since the fabric had too much stretch to them (even though spandex was not listed :confused3 ) Since the dark paper costs 3X as much as the regular and the shirt didn't hold up anyway, I'll just stick to the regular.

Speaking of shirts, I was off at Hobby Lobby getting some of the kids shirts (got grown up ones at Michael's last week). Has anyone noticed how insanely huge the neck openings seem to be on the toddler shirts?? :confused3 Maybe becuase they are hung up not folded?

I agree! They make it a very big deal. She started this just about 10 years ago, and there are only a handful of students that have accomplished this. The principal is really pushing it, and plans assemblies to honor those students that reach the goal! Katie really wants her name on that plaque. I'm happy to help her. The town library we go to is really helpful. The children's librarian has pulled all the Newberry award books and they are placed together along one wall, so all Katie has to do is head for that wall and she's set.

My Mom used to pull the Newberry and Caldecott Award winners and have them in separate places in all the elementary school libraries in our school district. Seemed like the easiest way to find good quality books!

Have you ever watch A Muppet Christmas Carol? One of my favorite songs in that movie is "One more sleep til Christmas" that's what this reminds me of!!
We got that movie last year to watch this year. We love the muppets.

My dark paper on fitted shirts split too... need to look for 100% cotton ones... but then I don't really like the way they look!

Also did anyone else notice that you sweat more where the transfer is? I had fitted vest tops with A5 size portrait transfers, and found them quite uncomfortable to wear as they made me sweat where the shirt touched my skin... must keep that in mind for this year's shirts... My dark transfer paper was quite thinck and I wonder if that's the reason...

come on guys - 150 to go - I'd like to go to bed early tonight so can we start now...

please... we could get there in 90 minutes uf we make a concerted effort :teeth:

Well I'm hoping for a pirate, but another princess will be fine, if she pays for her own wedding!

Thanks to everyone who continued to shamelessly post in my honor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am finally caught up.

Today's dilemma is what to do about shirts for me for the trip. I really despise the boxy style T shirts. I grabbed some of the Perfect Fit ones from Old Navy and am really hoping that they will work (but I have a hunch that they might be too stretchy anyway- it must be the way they are made because they are 100% cotton). I am trying to find long sleeve ones now. The old navy long sleeves have 5% spandex, so they are out. Target on-line has Cherokee ones that look fitted and say 100% cotton so I might give those a whirl.

Also I am looking for a white T with a red "ringer" for Kyle. I found adult ones at Cheaptees.com but the smallest youth size is a Small (6-8). Has anyone here ever ordered the Anvil shirts for kids before- how do they run? Kyle can't wear the Jerzee's size small but he can in the Hobby Lobby kind (it is kind of long, but the body fits great so I figure if I dry it on high heat, it might shrink up some). I REALLY want to do our Christmas shirt on a red ringer (remember the design with Retro Mickey dressed as Santa against a glittery green star- that is another one of my favorite designs!!)

Opinions please!

As much as I want to talk to Dawn, I'm hesitant to call her. I figure she hasn't contacted me (us) for a good reason, whether it be they're still running tests, finally getting some sleep, etc. She knows we're all worried...she wouldn't leave us hanging without a good reason, right?

Marti pointed out to me another scenerio: See - I'm from the other school of thought... she'd like a friendly voice to call her and ask if she's ok. Sometimes she may need that diversion and doesn't realize how much time has gone by. I'd call her cell and leave her the message that "just thought you'd like to hear a friendly voice and to let you know we are thinking of you"... if she answers, even better.

Can a few more of you chime in with your thoughts. Obviously this isn't a debate...I just feel really helpless right now!!!

Thanks!
Amy :)
I think you could call and leave a message. Maybe hearing of our prayers for her would encourage her and help her in this stressful time. Either way I hope to hear Caroline is fine soon.
