Did anyone notice the Marathon clothes on disneyshopping? Just in case, Old Navy has the moisture wicking shirts/shorts/pants on sale right now if no one is willing to pay $42...

Oh my goodness! I couldn't believe how much it cost! It is really cute though, so I'm trying to find a good version of the Run Disney clipart! And by trying, I mean hoping that it will show up printed out like magic, because I seriously don't have time to do anything about it!

Hi! Yes, the kids spent 12 WEEKS in the NICU. It was not a fun time in our lives at all. We had open house last night for the parents. It went very well. The room looks great. I have one more Disney set of signs to print and hang. Kids come tomorrow am for meet your teacher time. I've been working around the clock. I actually have a day off today, so I'm in bed and about to take a long nap.

BTW, I'm only 5 pounds from my first goal weight! Hopefully will make it by our trip in 3 weeks (and then eat like crazy at WDW!). John is down 25 pounds and looks great.

How are you doing? How did preschool go for the girls last night?

12 weeks????? That's so hard!!! Thank heaven all turned out well with the kids, though!

I cannot wait to see pictures of your room. You are so creative that I'm sure it looks fun and welcoming. Make sure you come back and tell us how the meet goes tomorrow! You are going to be great!

Preschool for the twins went well. It's so fun to see their different personalities coming out! Leslie was very nervous and spent the entire time riveted to every word coming out of the teacher's mouth. She didn't want to do anything wrong. Mary, on the other hand, really didn't pay much attention to the teacher, she was too interested in playing with the toys. I think that this will be good for Mary. It will give her some structure and discipline that she will need for public school!

Congratulations on your weight loss! I really need to see an updated picture of you! Although, truth be told, I didn't ever think you needed to lose any weight. And give John my congratulations, too! You guys are amazing!

Not as bad as we feared. They were very understanding about it. Alan will give up the next few weekends (read: Glynis will be alone with the children for the next few weekends) so that he can re-shoot the material and get the project done (again).

Thank heaven the clients are laid back kind of people. It could have been much worse. The worst is that we won't be charging for the re-shoot, so that's time and money lost, but at least it's not a client lost! Gotta think positively.

Tammi- Love the costumes for the kids. Nicholas and Alyssa are just adorable. When does Nicholas' soccer games start? Emma's first game is the 10th of Sept. She is playing full field this year with goalies, should be a lot more fun.

Thanks, Robyn. Games start on the 9th, with games from then on Mons and Sats with practice on Weds. We play full field with goalies too, but no score keeping. Yeah, right!

I am not sure how I missed this post last night...but how cool is the school for doing that!!!

We just love our school! They are so supportive of the kids, and their reading scores are off the charts for our state! I told Alan we are staying put here until the kids are all through with school!

Just an FYI, Cars is coming out on November 7th, probably so that it will be in time for my birthday (and all the other november babies of course)!

Oops. Except I don't know when it will be on DVD in the UK, maybe sooner? If not I'll mail you a copy Clare, if you happen to have a DVD player that plays region 1s?

Opinions please!

As much as I want to talk to Dawn, I'm hesitant to call her. I figure she hasn't contacted me (us) for a good reason, whether it be they're still running tests, finally getting some sleep, etc. She knows we're all worried...she wouldn't leave us hanging without a good reason, right?

Marti pointed out to me another scenerio: See - I'm from the other school of thought... she'd like a friendly voice to call her and ask if she's ok. Sometimes she may need that diversion and doesn't realize how much time has gone by. I'd call her cell and leave her the message that "just thought you'd like to hear a friendly voice and to let you know we are thinking of you"... if she answers, even better.

Can a few more of you chime in with your thoughts. Obviously this isn't a debate...I just feel really helpless right now!!!

I kind of agree with both of you! However, I think it would be alright to call her. If she's busy, she won't answer the phone and you can leave a message. At least she'll know that we're thinking of her and Caroline and are worried. She may be thinking she doesn't want to bother you with Matthew being so little and all.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh! That's the biggest coke can I've ever seen. I would resize it (and still may) but I have to keep it that way for a little while. The screen I saw it on (after linking from google) was much, MUCH smaller than that. I'd say a fourth of the size. Apparently the full file is much larger.

I literally laughed out loud though when I saw that post (I'm easily entertained), so I think I'll leave it for you all for a while.




ETA: How impressive was that picture though?! Nice and clear! Here it is in a much simpler form, in case it was so large you couldn't even really see it.

I only read the first line of your post and immediately told DH that cars would be out in time for my birthday so he could buy it for me - since we'll be in sunny Florida on November 7th

So thank you for your kind offer honey but I'm sorted

Oh and we have a multi region dvd player so we can pick up movies on our trips... and order them from play.com if we really can't wait for something the rest of the time

Deb - the porch looks great! Is that vinyl railing? We replaced our wood railing with vinyl a year or so ago and it has made a world of difference.

We used the vinyl railings and the plasticboards for the flooring. It should never rot, need to be painted or need to be replaced

Wow, we start practice on the 5th and only have games on Sunday. What a difference! I don't know if we keep score or not, I don't think so though.
