That's what I can't understand about some people. Why waste all of that money if your not going to change the way you eat.
This would be one of my co-workers. I know she didn't have the gastric bypass, I think she had the band put on her stomach. She also had a few other cosmetic surgeries. She will eat entire pounds bags of candy, chips, cookies at one time. She will eat the same thing all the time for one week and than switch to something else. She definitely isn't supposed to be doing this as it makes her ill.

The worst part is she pushes the stuff on all of the employees. She tells us we have to eat it so she won't eat all of it. I refuse it and have asked her not to offer it to me but she still does. Once she opens the bag in her mind she must eat the whole thing. I have told her on many occasions to buy the single serving bag but she won't.

The surgery might have made her stomach smaller but it doesn't help with the true problem which is in her mind. I have suggested she get counseling because I think it might help but she won't do that. She feels that only surgery can help. Unless they have a surgery that will change her brain waves I sadly don't think she will change. I honestly feel bad for her as it isn't good for her. Plus she is still paying off the surgeries, she is looking for an instant fix which doesn't exist.

It also isn't good for my waistline but I am good about not eating her stuff despite her constantly offering it to me.

Hello everyone
I'm new to the boards, this is my first post. I'm not even sure if I'm doing this right. I have seen a lot of the designs and stuff on here and I am amazed. I was wondering if any of you might have some designs for tshirts that i could use? My 2 daughters and I are taking my grand daughter to disney in march. It's the first time for all of us and I would love to be able to do up some tshirts for us. thank you

Welcome to the fun of the DDA. I can't help with the designs but there are a lot of ladies and gentlemen here that can!! Hope you can stay and chat with us!!

My mom raised us Christian after divorce from my dad and it was a problem to him that we weren't raised Catholic. I just pray my kids have a close relationship with God at an early age (whether it's christian or catholic protestant or baptist doesn't seem as important) to avoid some of the mistakes I made as a young adult (I went to church but didn't have a close relationship til after marriage and kids) Just my opinion.

It's mine too!! It's the relationship not what building you go to that matters!!

I posted it! Glad you liked it! I wonder if you could add tomato paste or sauce and still get the tomato taste without the texture that kids don't seem to like. It's a really good meal, though. Instead of the beans you could add a can of corn. My kids like the beans, though, so I add them. It also helps to stretch the meat a bit.

You can also do green sauce or red sauce....or salsa(I don't like the texture of tomatoes most of the time). We'd get corn and beans in ours.....I always needed a ton of cheese in mine....but I am a cheese lover.

any other night and I'd be game -- but I'm not up to snuff today. My stomach is acting weird and I don't feel great. I'm hoping sleep will help.

Feel better, Marti!

I forgot to tell you all what my Dr said on friday. she said that I definetally tore my tendon. she said at least half way or more but not completely. she said to keep wearing the aircast and wraping it with the ace wrap. though she did not say for how long. I am hoping it will be completey well by my trip. as the aircast makes my leg sweat and thus makes my leg itch. She offered to right an order for me to stay off work for awhile longer. but I told her I did not have enough sick time left. so trying to stay off it as much as I can when I am home and sitting as much as possible when at work. which is hard for a nurse sometimes.
of Course you all would have laughed at me sat and sun. its the weekend so the managers our not their so I sat down in a wheelchair and wheeled my self up and doen the halls. would park the wheelchair outside of the room of my patient then walk in the room take care of the patient then go back out of the room to the wheelchair sit and chart then go back to the desk.
:wizard: Hope it gets better quick.

I had a CRAZY night....

Went to bed....

All dark & cozy.....

Start hearing a weird noise....

What could it be??

Sounds like something moving around...

Like scurrying...

I must have a mouse in the house.....H E L P!!

Bill, there's a mouse in the house!!

What the heck are you talking about...says tired husband in the now brightly lit room...

You are crazy...go to bed...

Lights off....all warm and cozy....

Noise again...like scampering around....

Sounds like...MANY MICE!!!!

Wide awake....

1:30 am

2:45 am

Finally doze off...

Until, the "noise" comes back

3:00 am

4:00 am

Finally fall asleep...

Awake suddenly...am totally convinced I felt a mouse running on my head!!

No more sleep...

Alarm rings at 7am

I get out of bed................I hear it again!! I get on the floor to look for mice...

What do I see you ask??????????????????????????

My brand new computer chair, has a tag hanging from it...and in the path of the air conditioning keeps hitting my desk...making this noise....like MICE I tell you!!!! :rotfl2:

I had to go through about 2 months of counselling sessions 3 times a week to get my mind to the point that I could say, "It's ok not to clean my plate; it's ok to throw away food; it's ok to give my food away." It's not easy to do that, but it's amazing the difference it makes.

When we found out how much the surgery was going to cost, Alan and I sat down and had a HUGE discussion. I was adamant that I didn't want to go back to my bad habits, and I told Alan that I was going to need his help. He's been so wonderful about making me feel like it's ok not to eat as much as I used to.

It really does need to be a mental change, otherwise the surgery is just wasted money!

Did you all drink a Monster drink today? I am 34 pages back in ONE not even 24 hour time frame.

The trip was to Lansing and I'm still here. It is going fine so far. I got my 360 review results back. That is where your boss, peers & direct reports review you. I was very happy with my results. The scale is 1-6 with 6 being the best. I got above a 5 on everything. I did get a couple of 4's from my boss, peers & direct reports but they are in the areas that I knew I had to work on. I'm very happy with the results. The written comments were very positive as well. The negative comments were basically that I need to be patient and realize that things don't happen overnight but not to give up. My favorite "single greatest strengh" comments were "Having the will and courage to speak out about issues concerning the department to make a better place to work. I like that in her!" and "She has many, but a combination of her positive attitude and a desire to move the organization foreward are foremost."

The funny thing is that the presenter said not to be concerned if my numbers were lower than last year because that is the trend. My numbers were just about the same or even better. I think he was surprised but then they were surprised last year as well when I got such good numbers. I guess I'm doing something right!

BRAVO!!!
