The day before you leave on your WDW vacation are you...

Just bookmarked this page so I can go back and read it on my actual Disney Eve and see how foolishly optimistic I was about a low key night :rotfl2::earboy2:

The only things I have left to pack on Disney Eve are chargers and boarding passes.

Trying for stress free.

Got a large box in living room with a list of stuff to find/buy for the trip and over the next month we are filling the box.

Everybody has a suitcase so no worries there.

Got several plans on how to get to airport. Flight out is at 5am on a Friday. So Thursday is work like normal and then get the rental car and pack up.

Kids are out of school so they will be able to do chore and laundry during the day.

Not very stressful. I usually work while my wife takes off the day before to pack get house ready.
I love that last day of work before we leave for Disney or beach. Always in a great mood and have the zip a dee do da in my head.

...plenty of sunshine headed my way.....

we usually stay at the hotel near the airport the night before so we are not late for the flight,

so we are already packed and ready to go and just have a good nights sleep

I love reading the responses!! No matter how hard I try and no matter how organized I get, the day before is always stressful and I run nonstop. I really need to do better! I'm enjoying reading this post so much! :goodvibes

We usually fly out on Monday and we have to drive 3 hours to the airport in Indianapolis. We usually drive down on Sunday and spend the afternoon at the downtown mall so I can go to the Colts pro shop. We grab dinner someplace and then relax at a hotel near the airport. Even with the cost of the hotel and gas it is still cheaper than flying out of Ft. Wayne. I usually start making a list of all the items to pack a couple of weeks in advance so I have time to shop for any needed items. That makes packing easier. I usually don't stress about the packing.

All the prep and planning is done by Disney Eve.. it's just watching the clock and not sleeping due to excitment.

I have sort of an "end of both extremes" approach to Disney eve. Usually around six weeks out, I start throwing items together and thinking about what all needs to be done/make lists so I can do things with no real time crunch. I feel silly EVERY YEAR and think, "This is crazy, I have plenty of time!" and slow things down a bit. Then about 10 days out, I start freaking out that I haven't done all I should have (when you are an organizer to a fault, there's always "tons" to do lol). I always have grand intentions of a stress free, turn-in-early Disney eve but truthfully that hasn't happened since before kids. Plus, I have tons of food allergies so I have to make a ton of food and pack the cooler creatively (aka, carry-on approved) last minute to take on the plane. Regardless, it's just about the best night of the year!

I'm a procrastinator so "Disney Eve" is always hectic for me. Last-minute packing with a Disney movie on in the background, printing out everything, checking things off my pack list, redoing everything if I forget to cross something off and think I haven't packed it only to find it was hiding beneath a pair of shoes or something.

The last family trip was the craziest. I worked in the morning, we went to church, came home and showed everyone else how to pack and be ready for the post-9/11-flying world, then finally started on my own packing around 11pm. Finished just in time to shower and be out the door for the two hour drive to the airport for our 6am flight. Never doing that again. :crazy2:

Disney Eve is the worst!!

I pack way to early....or so DH thinks. Packing is easy for me, I tend to buy a whole new wardrobe. You HAVE to have Mickey shirts, and DD would look soooo cute in this. At Disney. ETC. It's bad.

Anyway, We do some light house cleaning, rest here and there cause it's gonna be a long sleepless night. DH gets the car packed, gassed up, oil checked. I drive him nuts by asking "can we leave now". LMAO:goodvibes

Yup I am also notorious for packing way too early, but its too much fun not to! I already have my suitcase out in the spare bedroom with new disney shirts on top of it waiting to go in and we don't leave until November!!! I do this every single year! ::yes::

We always take the first flight out at 7am when we go so waking up at 3am is a MUST! On the road by 4am and to the airport by 5am. Ah I cannot wait!!!!! :bitelip:

My husband coaches all-star baseball in the summer and our Disney eve will likely be spent on the road at a baseball tourney. Because of this I am already stressed about Disney eve and we have over 6 weeks left. But I have my list and a nearly full basket of things I have bought/gathered for the trip. So hopefully if I plan ahead well enough it will go smoothly.

Seeing as I want to pack NOW for our post-Thanksgiving trip. I think we'll be okay.

Most Disney-Eve we are packing and cleaning. Kids are mostly packed before school / during day. DH loads bags by the door at night and we have a simple dinner with little cleaning. We drive 10 hrs so it's early to bed and early up.

We get out our suitcases about a week before the trip and gradually add stuff to it, usually new stuff we just bought. The night before our trip I get nervous and can't sleep all night thinking about disney:)

Pretty stressed because my brain is on overdrive going over the list of stuff I'll need to bring and checking like 2 or 3 times to make sure I have everything! It used to not be stressed before having kids, but now I have to make sure I have not only my stuff but theirs.Once getting on the road, I feel like I can calm down a bit :cloud9:

in a panic running like crazy, packing, prepping and stressing to get out the door OR are you bored and relaxed watching the clock hoping time passes quickly?

Since we drive all the way from NY, DW is the one who is up all night stressing and packing and I get to sleep till about 2am. The clothes are usually packed the day before, the big thing is packing all the food for the trip (kids with food allergies). Also the reason I get to sleep is that DW doesn't drive.

We are always packed very very early - we don't go until 19th September but could actually leave tomorrow if needed! Having said that Disney Eve is usually stressful. We usually fly on a weekday so have a full working day then have to get 8 cats to the cattery then get ourselves to the airport as we stay in a hotel the night before. In the week running up to Disney Eve is when all the cleaning etc is done. I only relax once I'm at the hotel eating dinner with my first glass of red in hand!

We drop the animals off wherever they're being babysat, and then we just pack and clean a little. I intend to have all the cleaning done the day before that though and surprise husband with a trip to Carlsbad Caverns. We've wanted to go there forever but with the dogs in the house, the day trip is a poor idea. What if somebody has to go potty? If they're at the boarding kennel, we can do largely whatever we want.

We are the stressed out group. No one ever packs ahead EVER. Even when I ask nicely. I am usually packing at 1am with our pick up being usually 4 or 5am.

Same here - I usually have most ready, but it's my hubby who procrastinates and then he can never decide what to bring which usually results in over packing. I also get an early pick-up with our flights around 9am. Never want to give up a day at Disney for just traveling. BTW - hubby not a morning person either so we tend to be sitting in the car waiting for him to come out of the house. Yikes!
