Well, it's a new week! Lots to do here. I didn't get much done yesterday so I definitely need to go into overdrive today. How is everyone else this Monday?

just starting my 10hr shift at work in an extremly busy OR. Dreaming of my birthday trip to WDW in 23day:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Work, then dinner and a little shopping (groceries and some other stuff). Started on call today. Nothing like having your birthday on a Monday and getting on call the same day.

May try to mow the lawn depending on weather.

Came in to school this morning and realized that I have at LEAST 11 IEP's to write for our new incoming Freshmen and transfer students in September and I need to start making meeting appointments. This is complicated by the fact that our IEP writing program has not entered the new students I need to write for. It's my first year full time since graduating in '11 and I'm getting a bit overwhelmed to say the least!

Baby is napping, and I'm trying to get a few things done. This is my last full week with her. Next week she starts a few half days at daycare and I have a half day of work on Friday before starting full time. :sad1:

Busy pre-packing.

What's pre-packing you ask? That's where you make a pass through your closet, etc selecting possibilities for clothing to take your your next trip to WDW. :woohoo:

Oh, and should we change the title of this thread to be "The Weekly Grind"? :rolleyes1

Dreaming of Disney......11 more days to go........

I've been getting philosophical as well as mentally pre-packing for my trip in about a month. Hoping the luggage we ordered comes this week so I can start figuring out what does and doesn't fit.

Rough week so far... our girl kitty was diagnosed with asthma. We are about to become very knowledgeable about kitty inhalers. We are VERY thankful for our wonderful vet who caught the right symptoms and made a good diagnosis.

wow - I never would have thought a cat could have asthma. Then again, that might be because cats trigger my asthma!

On second thought, I have a friend whose dog is allergic to cats, so why not the other way around?

Glad your kitty was diagnosed properly, and hope the task of giving her meds isn't too arduous.

What program are you using for IEPs? Ours switched about two years ago, but the name is escaping me right now. I'm not a fan, but thankfully I don't have to use it very often as my SE teacher is responsible for the IEP writing.

I'm glad to hear that the diagnosis was made. Hopefully she can start getting some relief.

Tuesday - or Monday for me as I had yesterday off this week ;)
Voted in our primary election today. At least I will now only get phone calls from 2 possible people instead of 4 or more.

Today I will finalize our last tidbits for our trip to WDW! Buy those last few items we need and start packing some things.
And I am planing out a surprise birthday party for DD this weekend. Its in disguise as a Labor day BBQ with family friends. We are planing to eat dinner then send the kids outside on a hidden clue hunt - we will give them the first clue then they get to find the rest all around the yard. While they are outside I will very quickly set up birthday decorations for the surprise when they come back. DD's gift is our trip to WDW - we will be there Sept. 15 - 29, for both her and my bdays! :cheer2:
But I have to plan all the final details of this weekend ;)

We're using iepanywhere It's my first year using it and it's actually quite nice, the only issue I have with the program is the need to hit save after ever new thing is entered. While I'm employed by a public school system, I actually work at a Private high school so the IEP's are called Service Plans here. I'm currently in the process of taking IEP's from the schools last year and turning them into Service Plans. Then I'll start setting up the meetings.

THis week started out kinda slow - no Monday playdate makes for a long day with a toddler! :rotfl2: Add to that the fact that we are going to Disney st the end of next week, and that makes this week feel really long. Things started looking up at the end of the day yesterday - dh came home early, which helps with the antsy toddler, and then I got a call for an interview that I've been waiting on for five weeks! I applied mid July, they called the next day for a first phone interview, did the second phone interview at the end of the same week and told me I would definitely be in the next round, but either the hiring manager or the hr person has been gone every week since then!

So, now my slow week has a focus group tomorrow afternoon (making $125 for our trip) and then an interview all afternoon on thursday. Dh is off on Friday, his last day off before our trip the next Saturday, so I'm sure we will be plenty busy working in the yard, buying supplies, etc. Glad I did some cleaning and caught up on laundry yesterday so I won't have so much to do come this weekend!

Pretty much finished packing. Don't leave until Thursday so there's still time to take stuff out.

Second week of school here, so life is busy beyond belief. Friend visiting this weekend so yay to that. However DH has tons of business travel coming uo, so boo too. :(

Super busy day here today. My classroom is about 99% done. I am in love with how it looks this year. :)

Resting up tonight and a BBQ tomorrow for the holiday. What's everyone else up to tonight?

NC Beast had today off since he is covering the 7am shift tomorrow. We went out for Mexican and did some Home Depot shopping.

wrapping up the week by waking up in a Grand Villa at OKW. Super nice accommodations! Not sure what we will do today but dinner at the Bull & Bear is in the cards tonight.
