First day of high school for my baby today! I have been asking for weeks if she wanted to go shopping for a new outfit for the first day, she said she was good... until I got home from work yesterday and then she hits me with "Can you still take me shopping?" Off we went and found her the cutest shirt and crop pants. She looked so cute this morning, but soooo nervous! I hope she has a great first day!

home to fill out the mounds of paper work required, (Jennifer, I agree we should be able to do it online. I will put a bug in Administration's ear at our next meeting.)
dinner pork chops, noodles and fruit

I agree on-line then ask if things change instead of filling it out every year

I guess we are pretty lucky in regards to parental homework for school..
When you register the kids for high school each year... you go in and the last station they pull your records up on the computer and you read over it, change what is needed, and they save it right then and there...
The elementary and middle school print last years info out, send it home, you make the changes and send it back in and it's done in 3 minutes time.. Plus we can go online to change it anytime thru out school accounts.

finish texting w/ DD.. she is the only one in her room that has 8AM classes so to guarantee she doesn't fall back asleep she texts me when she is getting ready.

watch news on what a brat Isaac is being.. my word he is got an attitude with the gulf coast...and poor MS/LA.
finish small list from yesterday
try to get some scrappin' time in
list for shopping on Friday/grocery/spirit needs (yellow button down shirt)

prep dinner
pick up DS16 from school and practice

I posted yesterday that the teachers had a tentative vote and we start school as scheduled on 9/5....they take a final vote tomorrow, just hope they got the contract they wanted!!!
our school just asks if there are any changes from last years contact page when we went for back to school day...did have to do another medical form (everyyear) but that was all!

Cassey, I hope Julia has a great first day of high school!!!

Today I'm tackling the dining room which I had planned to do yesterday. I got sidetracked by DS yesterday and went geocaching with him instead. He's recently taken it up and loves it. He asked me to join him at a nearby park and it was such fun! It's like going on a treasure hunt. I even found one of the caches by myself! So, all the cleaning I had planned yesterday has now been moved to today. But by the time DH gets home from work tonight my dining room will be sparkling and all the junk that has been piled in there will be gone!

I got all the paperwork done last night. There wasn't much, but really, nothing has changed, let me do it online instead of killing yet more trees!

I'm laughing at Julia wanting to go shopping last minute...glad it worked out, Cassey. Hope she had a great day! Morgan wore a really cute sheer shirt with a tank under it, and a new pair of capris. I paid under $20 for the entire outfit, including her sandals. Gotta love bargains!

It was simply gorgeous this morning! Cool and dry, just right I could get used to this, but it's supposed to be 90-something on Friday. Ah well.

At work. Not overly busy, but enough to help the day go by.

Julia had a great first day! So relieved she did not get lost and seems to like her teachers. Her first rotation for CTE is Horticulture, she knows at least one of the upperclassmen so she should be good. She has to rotate through all the shops for the first term before she gets to pick two she is interested in for the second term, by the third term she should be in her choice of Culinary only. I can't wait to see what she thinks of Metal Fab and Automotive.

Now to sit and fill out paper work, Nan I am sooo jealous of the way your school system handles it.

Glad to hear she had a good day. My nephew started at Keefe Tech yesterday. He wants to be a pilot, but has done camps there in culinary. He LOVED it. And my sister loved all the meals he made during the week.

I'm excited about the new brewer.
