TGIF! Hope everyone had a Happy and Safe Independence Day. Relatively quiet here, just hung around the house.

No fireworks last night either, a bad storm rolled in about 10 minutes to 9 and it just poured! With wind gusts in the 50’s it knocked over patio furniture, our thermometer – need to straighten up the patio this morning! Spotty showers just to the west of us this morning – not sure if we’ll have Aquasize this morning or not…

Not much on tap for today – just tidy up the house and run the vacuum. Will determine where we are gonna park and fly for our trip today. I have called several car services but they want $145 - $160 EACH way (ridiculous!!) and since we can park for half of that, I believe we will be driving & parking.

Not much went on around here yesterday!

DS12 did finish his 4-H project (he needed to cut his letters out on the cricut because he finished the rest of it the other day as required).

Let's see on today's list:

take DS17 on his last college campus visit. When he gets home he needs to write his pro/con list so that we can review next weekend and he can start making decisions.
DD will give us the tour of campus since she is a student ambassador on campus so this is her job!
take DS12 on a tour of a navy ship that is docked near campus
pull camera to take
meet our other DD (PJ's roommate) for lunch she is also back on campus today

Ok, I better go we have a 3 hour drive ahead of us before our meeting/tour!

I hope everyone has a great day! I'll try to check in tonight but no promises! The next 2 weeks are going to be very busy so I need to get a lot done this weekend so I can enjoy the activities the next 2 weeks with my kids!

I think DsS22 and his gf are stopping by on Sunday... he has an event at his mom's on Saturday so he doesn't miss stopping at Dad's when he is back in town.

Hope everyone had a great Independence Day! We ended up watching the fireworks on TV as DH didn't feel like dealing with the traffic.

Going to be another hot/humid day here, thank goodness for AC!

Becky- lots of hotels offer free parking during your cruise if you spend the night before at their hotel and they shuttle you over..fyi. tons of info on cruise section of boards. Don't know if that's helpful or not?

we had fun doing the parade, was tired though, thankfully wasn't hot and had a bit of a breeze!
went to see Despicable Me 2 with friends - LOVED IT! dinner and then over to friends to watch fireworks, Karlee spent the night with us.

dropping the girls and my nephew off at grandmas today for lunch and swimming, I'm heading over to LSS to get a bit more stuff ready for next weeks Scrapbook Expo, go to PO, then bring everyone home from grandmas!

Sarah has been home since Tuesday night (it was a surprise). So nice to have both my chicks home in the nest for a few days

Since I'm healing so slowly, I think we're planning for a movie and pj day today.

I basicly spent the day in the ER - saw something shiny in Richard's ear - no biggie but he doesn't let people look in his ears so you can image about what it took to get something out of it
had to drug him really good then had to wait for him to wake up - at least house staff should have an easy night - he is pretty sleepy still
