Skipped out on softball practice last night, so I got a lot done - changed the beds, started the laundry, vacuumed the house, etc.

Have to finish up Morgan's bottle buddy tonight...DH is doing the lion's share of the work, I said to use the American Girl doll clothes and he said "I can make her clothes" - I said go for it...(He's actually doing a really good job).

Unfortunately, Buddy is leaving tomorrow. He's just not working out. It seems like he must be an outdoor cat - he keeps doing his business in front of the litter box, at the bottom of the basement stairs, on DH's work bench, etc., etc. I would think he was sick if he did it anywhere else, but it's only the basement! :confused3 So, he needs to go live somewhere where he can be an outdoor cat, and it's not on my street. Morgan's sad, but...eventually we'll get another kitten. We've done all we can (scooping out the box every day, getting a third litter box, etc.), but I hate that it's not working.

Morgan has her last chorus class tonight and I need to go to the library. Nothing major planned though, except working on more laundry. It never ends!

Anyhow, I hope everyone has a good day!

Jennifer, I'm sorry that Buddy isn't working out. I hope you can find a good home for him where he can be outside.

My day:
Take DH to work
Take DS to school
Drop books and DVD's off at the library
Go to post office to mail swaps

Laundry
Wait by phone for repair shop to call that my car is fixed. Call them when they don't call me by the time they said car would be ready.
Go to scout office
Get $$ out of credit union
Pick DS up from school
Go get car (hopefully!)
Get haircut
Pick DH up from work
Dinner

Lisa - hope your day is better than your morning.

Jennifer - have you put his poo in the box and shown him that is where he needs to go? Other than that, I got nothing. All my indoor cats knew how to use the litter and my current cats are outside ones and go in the grass.

Already did the morning routine with puppies and kiddos. Went to Target & Lowes and now I need to play with puppies and then cut out some Cricut stuff for the last of the scrapbook pages for the first graders. In between laundry, dishes, and floor cleaning. Oh, and bathroom cleaning too.

How is Holly?

He uses the box! Sometimes, but other times he just poops on the floor of the basement, or wherever! I just don't know what to do about it. We have a humane society in town, I'll bring him there. I'd give him to my sister, but she just moved into a brand spanking new house and I don't think she wants a cat that poops in the basement. I feel really bad, but I want him to be happy too.

Does it look like he is trying to get there, but can't hold it? When last time you took him to the vet, did you have him checked for this? If it is behavioral, he needs to live outside. If it is physical and can be fixed and you really like him, you may want to try to fix it. If you decide to take him to the shelter, be sure they know why so the next owners won't be surprised. That is a bad surprise. Ick.

I'm going to call the vet this afternoon and see what, if anything, would cause this. He knows where the boxes are, he has no trouble getting there in time if it's on the empty side, so I think it's an issue of the litter. I can't afford to change the litter boxes (3 of them!) twice a week. And, he just doesn't seem all that happy. I think he needs a new family. I would never not tell!

2 nights of little sleep and I'm dragging.

boys out the door
made it through the work out barely
truck inspected, found 2 vera bradley bags and a bunch of other stuff in their junk shop for 10 bucks!!!!:cool1:
lunch

boys to bed
me colapse. must sleep tonight another spinning class at 8:20 tomorrow.

hope everyone has a great day

 Meant it so that you see the shelter mark it on his form. I can see THEM "forgetting" to do so that the next family doesn't know about it.

Gotcha!

I did call the vet, I really don't care for one of the doctors in that office, but he did have some good ideas. Take the cover off of two of the boxes, some cats prefer uncovered boxes. Use clumping in one of the uncovered and clay in one of the uncovered. Also, if it is highly scented litter, switch to an unscented.

I want it to work, he's such a nice kitty boy.
