The Daily Grind ~4/23/11~

Morning!

It's the Weekend! Day #1. I'm off this weekend!!

Haven't been on for a bit, hope everyone is doing well!

I've had a few big things going on in my life...

My furbaby is holding her own. Good days and bad days. She has to eat in a special chair my wonderful DH made for her, and then stay in the chair for 25min after her meal. She gets special food now too, but this has all helped her to gain back her lost weight and she is her old self again.

Also, at work we have a new computer system. While I really like the way the new one works in so many ways, I'm old school and had been using the old system for 25yrs... Old Dog/New Tricks caused major stress... but it was uncalled for, as it turns I'm fine. Funny how the unknown will cause you to have the fight or flight feeling...

Then, for some reason, while all this was going on, we decided to paint and update the powder room and laundry room! Yeah, what were we thinking?

So, that's why I haven't been around for a bit. Catching up on all the old news...

Deb glad to hear pup is holding her own.

busy cleaning day here.... I will find my office/scrap/sew/guest(this part is leaving to the playroom) and my side of the bed. I tend to dump the books there after I've read them.
boys are supposed to be cleaning and th 3 dogs are playing well 2 are playing and the old man is trying to keep them in line.

Coleen got a new car, my new John deere went in for repairs worked like crazy at bulance and FD, more drise planning for Alaska in 31 days
Plus assorted Easter planning has kept us busy all week!

GLad you pup is improving and I know you will get used to the new computer system ( I had to learn one too)

I'm here. a bit upset right now...because we were waiting all week for DsS20 to decide if he was coming home for Easter.. cause he doesn't think he has to be part of the family now... waits til now to call and say he is at his mom's will be here at 6pm to eat dinner.. Hello, we had plans..but okay we will cancel ours.. I could just cry..... no respect!


Ok, now on to better things because I can't change the above.. I've tried....
scrap some pages; not as many as I wanted because of above...

fix dinner
dinner (oh fun)
escape to my scraproom for the rest of the evening to regain my sanity... it's gonna be a long evening....

Glad to see you back Deb - I just asked about you on yesterday's thread. Good to hear that your furbaby is doing better too.
DD arrived back late last night - said her students had a wonderful time in DC.
Having Easter brunch at my mom's tomorrow with a part of my family. Some of my dd's are working, but my dgd and my dd and her dh will join us. It's so neat to have my mom at 99, with my dgd who is now 5 months together.

I hope all of you have a wonderful Passover/Easter. Caroline

sleep in, ahhh (this week has been really tough, DD is all out of sorts, now she is at respite camp and I can regroup my mind)

breakfast - guess my brain is still wobbly, can't remember what we had, Oh my gosh, how could I forget, crepes!! I show Linda how to make crepes

Home Depot with DH (this has been his weekend theme)
worked on thank you cards for the bride to be whose wedding invitations I made. Now her thank yous will match the invites.
Made paella for dinner - got rave reviews.
