Good Morning!

Prayers and pixie dust to all those in need.

Watching the weather closely...hope everyone is prepared and stays safe.

Nan, enjoy your day scrapping.
Rebecca, hope things get less crazy.

Today:
work-need to talk to boss about tomorrow, more worried about getting home then getting in.
home to make dinner and homework help if needed
phone calls and emails
meeting 7pm

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning all!
Hope everyone in the path of the storm stays safe. We should get our share, as well! Better this weekend than next, when we are trying to travel out, kwim?

Today:
work
Try Disney again for reservations at Harmony. I have called 2 times & waited over 20 minutes without anyone picking up.
Gas for snowblower
Return library materials

Hope everyone has a good day!

I don't know how you guys can handle all of this bad weather - I put on shorts yesterday
need to upload pics from horseback riding
then see where I'm at in the family album & print some pics
want to find a few more things for beauty & beast to inkscape - just making files for future use (hoping to see stadge show this time around)

Morning ladies!

For everyone in the path of the storm....get your supplies today and then prepare to spend a cozy weekend at home. One of our stations says less than 6" for us and the other is predicting 2", so not bad either way. I think our local weather guy was trying to make us feel better by telling us that one computer model has the extreme north-east receiving 58" from this storm. Let's hope his computer is malfunctioning!

Good luck vibes to Jennifer for her testing and follow-up interview :cheer2:

Today:
Boys out
Me to work
Call SYT to check on my order status - this is ridiculous - 11 days and still no word from them!
Run to wal-mart for supplies
Home
Bus
Snack
Homework
Dinner????
Pick up DS from engineering
Scouts
BBT & work on making another scarf
Crash

Suppose I should find some time in there to work on Mount Washmore? :laundy:

Have a great day everyone!

I'm with Reddy...I don't know how y'all stand that cc-cc-cold, snowy weather. I live in shorts, capris, t-shirts and flip flops. I MIGHT wear a sweat jacket once or twice a year.

ANYWAY, stay safe and stocked! I'm sure your winter storm prep is much like our hurricane storm prep albeit a bit warmer:)

Not much on tap for today:

change out bed linens and towels
laundry
exercise
scrap
baked chicken and greens for dinner
Big Bang!!

Have a great day,

Becky

Morning :)

P & PD to those in need pixiedust:

Thankful Thursday around here...I'm thankful for my wonderful husband who takes such very good care of me  and I'm thankful Rachel is so excited about heading to All State Choir today :banana::banana:

Today's list:
Haircut
Laundry
Drive Rachel downtown and drop her off for All State Choir--the concert is Saturday night
Look at graduation trip options...Rachel isn't really "feeling" WDW. She's afraid her Epstein-Barr will keep her from doing as much walking as we need to and we're concerned about the heat/humidity in June :confused3
Dinner--just me

Have a great day all :flower3:

Good Morning!

for all our NE sisters, please stay safe...hoping it won't be as bad as forcasted!

I think the extra dust worked, ladies! Thank you! The HR woman is going to recommend me for an administrative assistant position in the Physician's Assistant program! If all goes well and they like the looks of my resume and test results, I hope to meet with the doctor who will be running the program next Wednesday. Fingers crossed!

Last forecast I saw had Worcester getting 39 inches of snow! Bawahahahahahahahahaha, :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: that cannot be right! (I'm halfway between Worcester and Boston). They have already canceled school for tomorrow, so we are picking up a few things tonight and staying in for the weekend! DH is getting more propane so if we lose power we'll be able to cook on the grill. If we lose power, we won't be able to go anywhere with a possible 3 feet of snow on the ground, so we'll be bundled up snug as bugs in rugs.

Hope everyone had a great day and stay safe and warm!

:wizard::banana::cool1::yay::cheer2:

Hoping you don't lose power or get that much snow!

I've been puttering around today. Playing with paper-online. Some custom stuff.
Bazzill should be here Monday :yay: except the stuff I ordered for MK swap didn't make it this time.... plan b? back to the board again.

That is great news about the job!!! Fingers crossed!!!

The winter storm's name is NEMO!
My sister called to tell me that.. she thought the my DIS friends would love to know that Nemo was making his presence known... I told her that is probably why the DIS people were/are a lot more tolerable of this storm because it's got a Disney name!

Sorry Jennifer, I hope they are mistaken on the amount... I've got the weather channel on now to catch up on the latest...

Make sure everything is charged up...and if it's gonna be a power outage fill the bath tubs with water so you can flush and fill up some extra pitchers/jugs for drinkin' water...

Glad they are being proactive to cancel school tomorrow..

We have town water and sewer, not a well, so we don't have to worry about flushing and water, it'll just be cold. I did get two cases of water on Monday, so we're all set for drinking water. Phone is plugged in now.

They are saying "blizzard conditions" (35 MPH + winds for 3 hours or more) for pretty much the entire state, with gusts up to 65 MPH. That's where the problems could come in! Trees and power lines down...ugh.

congratulations Jen!!! this sounds like a great opportunity for you!

wow that's a lot of snow and with the wind mixed in, sounds like its going to be a doozie of a storm....sounds like a PJ weekend is in store! hope power doesn't go out for everyone!
I do like the name of the storm though :goodvibes

Congratulations on the good interview & job possibility. I hope you don't see 3 feet of snow! That is really pretty funny......especially if you don't get it! Not laughing at you, I just really get a kick out of weathermen & the hype they do. (& they are so often wrong!) If my accuracy was like theirs, i'd be unemployed! No offense to any weatherpeople, just amuses me to no end!
I also wish our schools would close in advance; we NEVER close the day before. I swear they want to make us wake up & wait. Many times they call it so close to start time, I've already woken the kid up & we didn't get the extra sleep. That is really annoying! I'm jealous you know tonight & don't have to set an alarm. I bet we will be going; new superintendent was VERY vocal that he doesn't believe in closing for predicted & they never early release here. I think 1 time in 8 years in district.

Jennifer, Congrats on the interview! Fingers crossed that you get the position!

As for the weather, no work for me tomorrow:dance3: Still waiting to hear about school, talked with the superintendent earlier and he hadn't made up his mind. We are supposed to have a meeting at 7:30am in the morning and if we have no school then there is no meeting. I think I would rather have an early release day for the kids as we have already missed two days because of Hurricane Sandy and I don't want them to be in school too late in June. But safety is the biggest concern and if they can't get them home safely then they need to call school.

I need to run out and pick up a few things after my meeting tonight. Hopefully the stores won't be as busy by then.

I saw the Nemo on weather channel this morning - laughed at it
Now I"m thinking Nemo & tropical setting/surfing turtles & they are talking snow - my brain is having a hard time with that

all of ya stay safe & as warm as possible

I hope you get the job - hope you can wear your own clothes & not scrubs to work

:banana: Just got word, no school tomorrow and that means no 7:30am meeting!:cool1: We are sleeping in and I am going to scrap the snowy weekend away!

just talked to my BFF in NJ and she said the store is NUTS!!!!!

stay safe everyone!
