dice run for snowmobile club. We're having it even though there is NO SNOW!!!! and I'm not going to the naughty mat I'm so ugly that we can see most of the fields. They will be doing sleigh/wagon rides, I've packed balls and kites Might not be the best idea with horses whoops. Chilli is ready to go.

talk to you all later.

Christy- I have s*ow to spare! Wish I could send you some for your fun!! But have a great time anyway!!

There were peoples cross country skiing in the street yesterday afternoon, and I heard the s*owmobiles last night. I took more pics today in the sun today. It is just remarkable the amount of s*ow we got. I truly would gladly share!

Debbie
I'd take it all I need enough to cover 44 miles of trail 8" deep and 12' wide. Our grooming contract in in the tank since the state uses a 5 year average and this is our second year with the tucker. Payments are coming up on that, Mary, our treasurer is pulling her hair out. I'm in hopes that the state group (VAST) will throw this year out of the average they have in the past but with the econmy flat and registrations down they may not.

Oh well gotta go load the truck.

Up and busy early (and was up and busy late last night!) getting ready for our annual Super Bowl party today! Doing things earlier will make today lots smoother. Should be twelve adults plus kids...plus an 11 month old...TB, you ARE coming, right? (You big football fan, you...! There's gonna be baked brie...:rolleyes1...!)

Our Delaware clan thinks they got about 28" (drifts up to 4') and 10" more on the way in two days. Some areas in North Wilmington (mom) are pretty plowed but my brother (near Chestnut Run, Debbie) says he hasn't seen a plow since Friday morning. Hope things get cleared out for you!

Happy Sunday, everyone. Rebecca, hope your family is behaving and gets logistics and arrangements sorted out soon for everyone.

My plans are changing a bit. DH wants me to "go for a ride" with him, and he wont tell me where. That could mean anything from the dump to a jewelry store :confused3 Prob Walmart or Tractor Supply :lmao:

PBF- what ya fixin? Sounds like yummies!! And yup, they are calling for more on Tues/Wed... I told DH he has to pick me up on Wed, I don't think my Honda can make it if we get another dump. How strange is it that we are thinking 10" is a little bit now :confused3

Christy- wow, that's a shame it's not a good season! You hate the expense of you can't enjoy it, but when you can, it's fun to be in a club.

Wow - that is alot of snow!!

Everyone be safe. Going to miss our annual SuperBowl Party in our old hometown. Will make some finger foods here and call it good.

We have the rain. And laundry. So that's good.:lmao:

gonna finish my redone layout challenge page and take a picture.

DD and DH are cleaning the pig pen out - new shavings and straw. I think I will stick with the laundry!:thumbsup2

Mornin' all..
We are cleaning the family is helping our NO superbowl tonight!!! ;)

I need to make the pizzas for tonight and all the snacky stuff!!
I need to scrapbook some pages (got a small stack ready)
finish up some laundry
text w/ SIOH as is tradition before each of our COLTS games!
Algebra tutoring session for friend 4-5:30pm

PBF- what ya fixin? Sounds like yummies!!

Starters:
Sugar weenies (see the DIS Cooking thread...just discovered them! - These sound strangely wonderful!)
Salsa & chips (medium and extra spicy flavors)
Spinach dip & Garlic dip w/ chips, veggies, etc.
Brie en croute - baked brie with cinnamon, sugar, walnuts, in a puff pastry, served with crackers

Main meal - (half time - I've learned...everyone is pretty full by this point so have finally cut back the menu here!)
Savory meatballs (meatballs in chili sauce, cranberry sauce, and sesame teriyaki BBQ sauce) with fresh-baked rolls. The rolls are in the dough stage now, but should be risen and baked by game time.
Rotini salad with herbed wine dressing (first time, recipe found online - cold pasta salad with white wine, golden raisins, olives, walnuts, herbs, mustard, oil, etc.)

Desserts:
Chocolate mousse cups with freshly whipped cream
Pepperidge Farms Milano cookies (mint, dark choc, and milk choc)
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie sandwiches (cc cookies with Z2Hs scratch made-peanut butter icing in the middle)

Pam That sounds amazing- I want to come!

Today:
church- done
potluck - done
we cancelled youth tonight for the game
nap
pictures of swaps
clean kitchen
clean guest bath
clear dining table (actually it is all DH's stuff now but I have to get him to put it somewhere else- more work than putting away my own stuff)
watch the game???

Rebecca

Pam, I wanna watch the Superbowl at your house. YUM!!!

I just finished our tax returns and filed them. That's a good job out of the way!!!!!

I'm going to eat lunch now and then I'll either cross stitch a bit or scrap a bit while I wait for DH to get home.

Oh wow, that's sounds like a yummy party! Wish we were closer, sounds like it's gonna be fun at your house!!

We got the call that DS18 has no school tomorrow.

DH tried to take me to a flooring store...but it was closed, the wimps. We have been talking about putting in hardwood floors in the LR, and this was going to be his surprise. Then we went to tractor supply :lmao:

We did stop at Home Depot to see what they have and got 2 sample boards. Of course the one I love everyone is voting against... figures...

Dice run is over and we're home trying to decide if we want to go to the party or not. I'm voting not just to tired. I've actually felt pretty good today and don't feel like pushing it. It starts at 5:30 I could be in my jammies having dinner and relaxing in my chair. We'll see.....

we did okay considering that there was NO snow! the sleigh rides had just enough and it was a nice chance to catch up with the farmer we haven't seen in a while. Mom had a good time so that was nice she's never seen what goes on cause they are usually gone.

Off to empty the dishwasher and reload and sit down.

Pam that all sounds yummy

My plans were to get lots done around the house, that didn't happen. I came home from DC with a sinus issue thanks to tons of dust at our training center. They are moving in the next two weeks and pulling off the white board off the walls.

I did get all our clothes out for vacation and talked to Verizon. I had to update my software for my blackberry teathering but something went wrong. The tech was awesome and I am back in business.

Good luck digging out to the mid atlantic crew.

Apparently my invite to Pam's party got lost in the mail. Maybe I'll just show up... ;)

My tail is dragging! 4 hours in Lowe's selling girl scout cookies. Oh my. We did surprisingly well though. Sold 134 boxes of cookies, including 6 more to send overseas. The girls were (relatively) good.

I hope everyone stays safe and warm and has a wonderful rest of the day!

Sure, Jen - come on over!

Actually, just found out that a couple of our guests (such good friends they are closer to us than most of our family) may be bringing a couple of extra guests! :scared1: Okay....! And at least one has...ahem...a very healthy appetite!

Hope/think/pray there's enough food... EVERY year we have way, way, way too much - so this year, I decided to "right-size" - well, isn't that about to bite me in the hiney?

I'm sure you'll have plenty of food. Do people bring dishes too? It sounds like plenty will be there.

DH is going to a friend's to watch the game. Morgan and I are watching the Puppy Bowl and will go to Papa Ginos and get dinner when it's over and then we have Marley & Me. But I don't know if we should watch it. It's definitely going to make us cry :sad1:

I'd be thinking the same thing, but I'm sure it will be fine. Even right sizing, I bet you still have way too much! Sounds like a feast anyway!

Weren't those Malamutes at the end adorable? What was up with the bunny cheerleaders? :rotfl2:
