It's Friday!!!!

It's my DS17's Bday tomorrow!!! THE BIG 18! My baby! All big and adult! I'm thinking our big dinner out with friends and fam will have to be rescheduled... poor DS17, he's been looking forward to this! I'll still make the cuppycakes and I will make garlic shrimp and steak for him for his dinner...

Nice... See where it says up to 22" over Central Delmarva... Yup, that's me This is our 2nd big Nor'easter dump this winter! Last one was on a weekend too... I'm soooo glad I'm off!!

Morning all

I think the stomach bug has got me. Dishwasher at work came in one day this week and shared NICE!! He's out again today and I have to go in it's breakfast and lunch day. I got the email this am cause I went to bed before the kids last night. I'm so not looking forward to today and I have to do the shopping after work.

Okay time to put the big girl pants on stop whinning and suck it up!

4. Empty dishwasher

8. Work
9. Pick up DS
10. Wash/fold/put away laundry--must do towels!
11. Finalize grocery list
12. DH & DS to grocery store, if rain lets up
13. I SCRAP!!!!! Come on rain, go away!--nope, had to go with them due to rain

15. Prep stuff for tomorrow morning--I get to sleep in, then we're going shopping!
16. Go to sleep sort of early!

DH is driving to the beach for the generator... just in case...

DS17 (almost 18) said last time there was a big dump during school (2006), his was closed for a week. It's uphill and in the city, so it's really difficult to clear around the school. And parking is like nonexistant in good weather... sheesh! Hope this wont mess up his graduation!

Oh jeez Deb, 22 inches of sky dandruff! That's crazy numbers. Be safe, hope you have enough yarn to get you through the weekend They are saying the storm should stay "south" of Boston. Well, I'm south of Boston, but I'm not sure how far south they mean (and it's not like they're right all that often anyhow). Happy Birthday to your DS!

Oh, Christy, I really hope you feel better. If it's what I had, it's only about 24 hours, but it's a rough 24 (to 36?) hours. I woke up feeling excellent this morning (won't last long, I've got to work)!

Brooke, I'd rather have snow than rain, especially on a weekend! Be careful and have a good one.

Yay for me time, Stephanie!

Oh, DH told me yesterday that they are NOT cutting their hours! Thank goodness!

I'm going to go to the new Mike's and the Container Store after work today. Was thinking of maybe Macy's too. I need work clothes.

Well, pooey! DH is staying home because he doesn't feel well. That totally messes up my me time since he's such a big baby when he's sick. I always feel mean when he's sick because that's when he irritates me the most. I wish now I was working all day. Maybe I'll spend my me time going shopping or something away from home!

Jennifer, big YAY!!!! on your DH's hours not getting cut. I know that's got to be huge rock off your shoulders!

Yes, DH's hours not being cut is a huge relief.

...winter storm warning remains in effect until 6 pm est
saturday...

A wintery mix of rain and snow will begin over south central ohio
this morning and continue in the afternoon. This mix will change
to all snow by this afternoon and continue through saturday
afternoon. Snow accumulation of an inch or two is possible
today...with four to six inches expected overnight...and an
additional inch possible on saturday. Total snowfall from this
system will be from six to eight inches.

If more rain than snow falls this morning and early afternoon...or
changes to all snow later than expected...total snowfall will be
cut by a few inches. Regardless...significant accumulation is
expected.

A winter storm warning means significant amounts of snow...
Sleet...and ice are expected. This will make travel very hazardous
or impossible.

90 minute delay. Think he is hoping it will hit soon so he can cancel school and not look foolish. We have no early dismissals. If it gets bad while the kids are at school, it could get really ugly. Lots of folks are already mad at him because he knocked our snow days down to 3 next year and didn't want any. We've already used 2. I have no idea what the guy is thinking. Putting days on after all the testing is so stupid. Nobody is learning.

Up early - busy day today, so getting an early start! I'll be driving all over the place today and coming home to drop things (and people!) off, and turning right back around and heading out again. Girl Scout meeting here later, too, - finally getting rid of these cookies!

Pam, glad the C-double O-K-I-E-S will be gone. I'm picking up 20 cases tomorrow afternoon to sell at Lowe's on Sunday morning. Here's hoping they all go (and all fit in my tiny little Toyota ).

We had a kamikaze bird (sparrow?) do a suicide run into our front storm door yesterday. (The glass wasn't THAT clean, honest! ) This happened seconds before Z2H came in and she just missed stepping on it, since it landed right on the doormat. Sad - but creepy...felt Hitchcockian... Ah...animal woes!

AWM, your weather forecast looks lot like mine.....I'm in SE Ohio.

It's raining at the moment, supposed to be sleet then back to rain by 11:00, then sn*w by the end of today and all day tomorrow. ICK.

Our schools are all open today. DH drives bus for the public schools, and he's already on it. My boys' school doesn't delay or close early either, but they won't count it against your kids if you pick them up early due to weather.

I'm headed to work today.....not looking forward to it for several reasons, but it will be ok!!! I'm hoping we can get there and get the stuff done that has to be done today, and then leave early. Our supervisor will usually start sending people home early if the roads are getting bad, we have some that drive a long way to get there.
