No school here. We got the call around 7:30 or so last night. The sidewalk plows came by this morning, so we at least can sort of see the shape of the sidewalk now.

DH is coming home around 10:00 so I can go to work for a while. He gets vacation/sick time and/or can work from home. I don't. However, it is snowing or sleeting or something out there!

Glad to hear you are feeling better!

Hope everyone has a good day!

Morning Nan - glad you are feeling better and got a good night's rest. I admit I slept pretty darn well myself last night :)!! It was a fairly quiet weekend - went to Whole Foods on Saturday and watched "Trouble with the Curve" in the afternoon (good movie!). Yesterday DH worked so I scrapped and did a couple loads of laundry.

Today

Have a great Monday!

Surprisingly, we have no school, rather an ice storm had halted life here.
Set my goal at scrapping 10 pages today, need to get this scrapbook of all the plays my grandson has perfomed in completed.
Once the photos are set, then I can get to using the Cricut cart Jen lent me to cut out embellishments.
... and the sad part is the Weather Channel is predicting 2 more storms here this week. Enough is enough!!!

as of 7:30 , 16 pages were complete, need to maintain this momentum!

Morning everyone! Glad to see everyone survived the storm with little trouble. We were supposed to get 4-6" the last I checked on Friday night. Woke up to less than 1" Saturday morning. :lmao: Guess the weather man was off. Hope everyone who did get a pile has been able to dig out and life is returning to normal. The boys and I were really hoping to get a bunch of snow so we could do some real old-fashioned sledding. It wasn't mean to be, so we shopped instead!

Woke up to 2 hour delay due to ice this morning. DS was already in the shower when I got the call. He wasn't happy he was already up and moving. Finished his shower and went back to bed.

Boys to school - finally
Me work - late due to delay
DH has bus duty, snack and homework help tonight!
Dinner?????
Two oldest DS get to do dishes & put them away
Youngest needs to clean up his disaster area bedroom
Load of laundry
Cub Scouts - making duct tape wallets
Home
Pack lunches for tomorrow - I hate making them in the morning
Work on DS blanket - unless my paper shows up
Bed

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :)

I'm so happy I drove in the snow to visit Sarah, otherwise my girl would have been all alone on her birthday. All her friends were swampped with homework (although they did have lunch with her). She loved her cake and presents and we had a wonderful mother/daughter moment while looking at her baby scrapbook :cloud9:

I'm staying in Nebraska for today and tonight, then heading home tomorrow.

Have a wonderful day all :flower3:

Sent a text to Cassey. They lost power for a while, but are back up. No cable or internet, but they have power and heat! No school tomorrow, there are streets that are still un-plowed due to downed trees! Sounds like they had a rough time of it, but they are safe.

:wave2:

We are finally back up and running here! Lost everything late Friday night, power came back on early Sunday morning. We had the woodstove going for heat so we were warm. We had a really heavy wet snow here, I think we ended up with about 18 inches or so. There are so many trees down around, crews have been working non-stop cleaning up and restoring power, phone and cable. Many areas are still without power, hopefully they will be back up soon.

Boss was hoping I could work from home today, but unfortunately I couldn't due to no internet so I got an extra day off!

Okay, off to catch up!

bummer about losing power Cassey, happy you were able to stay warm and safe! bonus getting another day off :thumbsup2

VENT about the new photobucket....wanted to share my haiti album, but you can't make a slideshow yet :confused3...if they are going to change it, then get everything up and running before they force everyone to switch over

We were prepared for the power loss. The snow started out so wet and heavy that when the winds picked up we knew it was only a matter of when it would go out and how long. Considering the amount of trees down and that a major line went down, it wasn't too bad for us. Had my elderly neighbor come over to get warm and share a cup of tea with me Saturday afternoon. She refuses to leave her house when we lose power and she does not have an alternate heat source, I worry about her constantly!

Lisa, sorry photobucket is giving you trouble. I haven't been able to figure out have to post a slide show since they changed things.
