It's Tuesday! I started my wrapping last night. Got a few things done for DH...


My list will look the same for the rest of the week... sigh...

Stop and get DH gifties that I meant to get
-Sporting goods store
-Western Marine for new hose for the dock
-Walmart

Wrap, wrap, wrap... get the kids to wrap wrap wrap for me

Work on beaded giftie

Why is there never ever enough time?!

I have a load of gifts to wrap today. I still need just one more thing for DH's stocking, hope to get that today at Tar-gey. My sister needs something there, I'm literally 2 minutes from one, and she has to work today...I'll bring it to her house and she'll make me lunch. Nothing better than a free lunch made by someone else.

So, my list today:

PrincessM up, fed, dressed, bus
Wrap wrap wrap
Target for my sister (oh, and we need TP - all 3 of us home for 4 straight days, we'll need more!)
Bring stuff to her house
Lunch
Wrap wrap wrap
Hide hide hide or put some under tree
Princess home
NO HOMEWORK and NO ACTIVITIES!!!
Play a game?
Dinner - Sausage and asparagus risotto
Dishes
Any Christmas specials on?
Bed!

more house cleaning for Thursday
Get one more gift for DS9--evidently he got shorted even though I counted and recounted? Hoping DH can take care of this after he gets off the bus

I'm never running this behind on my Christmas preparations, but working is really putting me behind! Like the rest of you, I need more time!

But, DH was a sweetie yesterday. He got home from work early yesterday so he vacuumed and cleaned the bathrooms for me!!!

My day:
Make DH's lunch
DS up and off to school
Take car to shop and have them check tires - the tire pressure light is on
Get hair cut
Go to KMart, Target, ToysRUs, and World Market for last minute gifts
Work
Dinner - leftovers
Make last 2 batches of cookies
Wrap, Wrap, Wrap presents and get them under the tree

Whew - the end is in sight here!

The activity calendar for yesterday was "sleep under the Christmas tree" (a fave) but boy, I didn't sleep well...on the floor/sofa at all! Gonna need a nap today!!!

The last of the teacher gift card packs are all done and off, more loaves of bread are baking (neighbors, etc.) and the fudge just needs to be cut and boxed up (trash/recycling guys, and UPS guy) for tomorrow. Have a scratch lottery ticket to tie onto the bow of each.

Gonna put together my new scrap crap shelf that just came from Amazon!

My sis is going to do her own shopping, but I still need to go to Target. I also need to get boxes. How did I run out of boxes? I'm usually really good at keeping them.

Yup - so are ours! It is a good thing I'm short!!! The kids drag out the sleeping bags so I snuggle there with them on the floor for awhile with the christmas songs playing softly on the radio, but then I head for the higher ground on the love seat for the rest of the night! Kept tossing and turning though - can't IMAGINE why???

Just got a call from the school - asking for "Grace's parent" -- eek....! But, she's going to get an award at school tomorrow from one of her teachers and he just wanted to let me know! OK, then!!! Gonna pack up another box of fudge for this guy !

Well, I'm beyond done with Christmas prep...in fact Christmas is already over, for the most part here. Parents go home today, which is my big countdown deadline...it's been a long week. I love them, but, wow.

LOL PBF! When the school calls here and say's "Hey Nancy, this is X's teacher" My first question is what did they do? I get a big laugh! That phone call is always a kicker! Hope you are able to get to school for the award ceremony!

Today:

bake cookies
kids to play wii
finish up laundry
clean up family room (seems I'm the only one who can find the trash can, today will be a lesson in showing everyone where the trash can is, the possible routes to the trash can, and we will have some practice runs until the lesson is achieved!)
finish wrapping the stocking gifties, stuff the stockings and put them in hiding...
kids to wrap their gifts (they are biting at the bits for this)

Hey all!

Late check in -

DD is home from cousins tonight - Christmas with that side of the family tonight.

Still need a few presents and have to pick up what I ordered for dinner-OK DH ordered it - Lumpia - filipino eggroll - but at least I don't have to cook!

So...
Head to Target myself
Still have to turn horse out
Wrap some more - still have to get one gift for tonight
DHs cousins wife is going to call if she cannot locate the Wii game she was pretty sure she bought and may have to add that to the Target run
Check Hallmark and Drug stores for ornament for DISFriend
Switch the laundry
Dishes are done -twice
Drop off drycleaning
If I get out of the house without Little One - maybe a couple of returns

OK gotta go play a game with DD2 - then negotiate naptime....

Managed to find the 1 store that had what Dh wanted. But then the store I went to for the new dock hose didn't have the right one

I also went to the local silk flower warehouse trying to find red curly ribbon... nope, but I didn't find something really cool for DS21's cute DGF. Peacock feathers! I got a cute vase to put them in... very cool very unusual

There are enough peoples tomorrow, so I asked the boss if I can leave early. He said yes, then everyone else was asking if I already asked...they got that idea too late

Tomorrow, have to find the elusive hose for DH, and hit Walmart to finish up the stockings...

DD loves camping under the Christmas tree, as does kitty does this year.

well i work at a place that teachers call all the time. so i get "hi this is so and so from such a school and yes bubba is fine! no can i get some money!"

So did the lesson work? I do this kind of thing with my class until they get our various roiutines down. It generally takes about 20-30 practices to get our morning routine down correctly.

DH ordered it - Lumpia - filipino eggroll - but at least I don't have to cook!

I love lumpia- I have never bought it from anywhere but we make it for Christmas time- this year though mom made it and we will be having it at a party at her house after the New Year. I have everything I need to make it except the fresh vegetables in the freezer right now- I just don't have the day to do it.

I hope everyone is getting caught up on what they need to do for Christmas.

Yes, the kids accomplished the task at home.. than DH came home and blew it! So the kids sit dad down, gave him the same lecture they got and had him practice the routine.. Of course this morning the kids woke up to a coke can on the coffee table w/ a note that said "Heck NO I won't go!" "Heck NO I won't go!".... OMG! and I have them home for the next 5 days all together... OH, give me strength!

My kitties love the tree too. They are either under there, in the patch of sun they can find, or between my legs...Love them, but they make it hard to sleep.
