~The Daily Grind~ 11/7/10

It's The Weekend... Day #2

Kathy Griffin put on a GREAT show!! She came out a bit after 7:30 and gave this amazingly funny show for 2 1/2hrs straight. No breaks, no warmup...all new material. She is quick witted and raunchy! It was a blast! Watching Kathy Griffin, is kind of like getting the teacher off topic. She just goes and goes where the topics take her...it's not scripted, she just runs with it... We both said we are groupies now, and want to see her every time she is in town!

15 days till I can book excursions and spa and Palo on the cruise :teeth:

My list for today:

Caffeinate...This repeats everyday

Feed Pups

DIS/FB :surfweb:

Swish, Swipe, and Swiffer

Make Meatball Crockpot Soup

Watch Julie&Julia DVR'd movie

Pack a snack

Work 3-7p (yeah, I get to leave early :teeth:)

Have a Great Day everyone!!

morning all

Deb glad to hear it was a great show.

today is do nothing day I'm still in my jammies and plan on staying that way for a while

while it's do nothing day i've emptied the dishwasher and refilled it other than find my scrap desk and counter there will be no strenous activity today. I might scrap or start packing for my crop on the 19th I also will sew. I'm taking E's quilt top apart and making it wider instead of longer.

Hope you all have a great Sunday

So yesterday, DS22 tells me we have lots of spinach that is going to go bad if we don't use it. So I started looking for some recipes, unusual ones, not just creamed spinach...

Well, I find one for spinach bread, and as I'm reading it, it's for a bread machine :confused3 Did I even still have mine? Checked kitchen storage and yup, there is this old dusty DAK bread machine. This thing must be older than DS22... but I figured what the heck, I'll try it and if it didn't work, it's outta here.

Who knew these old relics could still work after 20yrs :confused3 The bread was pretty good, and now I feel like I have a new toy in the kitchen :teeth:

Anyone have any bread machine recipes they like to share?

Laundry is in progress. I'm still in jammies, because 90% of my clothes are being washed. Most of my unpacking is done. Gonna sit down and look at my pictures, I think.

I should go grocery shopping at some point, but I really don't wanna. Maybe I'll send DH out for lunch and a few things (I can use the excuse that my jeans are still wet ;) ).

Here's a picture of what I ended up making for my FE gifts. They are magnetic bookmarks. I made 175 of them (I have a few left over ;) ).

I have a recipe for cinnamon rolls that uses the bread machine for the hard work, Deb. Let me see if I can track it down. Soooooo good!

Jennifer, those are just too cute!

Did you love the trip?

They came out great!

I still use my bread machine. Especially in the winter. It's getting to be that time. I love cold winter Sunday dinners. When you stay inside all day in sweatpants.
Oh my Gosh that sounds so lazy of me doesn't it?!

You say that like it's a bad thing. I've showered, but just put my jammies back on. I'll deal with tomorrow's meals tomorrow...

Very cool!! :thumbsup2

How fun would it be if we all booked the same cruise one year!?!

So much fun! April 15, 2012 anyone?

That would be fun. My parents are actually taking the Panama Canal cruise in Jan, the one that LindaBabe and tinkryansmom are doing. I tried to figure out how we could come too, but DH doesn't have the vacation, and the cost was a bit much, although, lucky devils, CM rates became available. If we knew what the price would drop too, we probably could have done it.

Having a lazy Sunday here too....was awake earlybut just woke up from a little napping!

going to be a sweats day, going to work on some scrapping and hanging with my girly!

enjoy your day all!

DO IT! We would have SO MUCH FUN! And, I have a thing where you can get a $100 on-board credit...You know you wanna ;)

Bah, I got an aura after lunch. Sacked out on the couch for a bit and I seem to have nipped the migraine in the bud. I really am not going out today.

My Mom will be on that cruise as well. In fact she will be Linda's cabin mate. :) I think we should make shirts, not fair our parents are Disney cruising and we are staying home. :sad2:

My Sunday to do:

Feed the cats
Get adjusted to having sight in one eye.pirate: My depth perception is lousy.
Fold laundry
Swiffer kitchen/hallway/bathroom area
Go over to Mom's so DH can blow her leaves
Go grocery shopping.

Well for goodness sake! Who's yo mama?

There's still space, you know . . .

As much as I would love to, DH still doesn't have vacation time. We need it for a family trip with his side of the family to Glacier NP next summer.
