Good Morning!

Much dust to Caroline, DD & Isabella. To Z2H, so far from home. And to all who labor over the holiday - may your day be tranquil and stress free.

No gym again today - hip still hurting - gives new meaning to the term "Pain in the a$$" Of course when I don't go to the gym, everything else stiffens up too, so i'll just slink away and whine, lol.

Figure out what to add to tomorrow's dinner, and prepare ahead what I can.

finish cleaning scrap table. . . again.. . still.

grab a few groceries.

Today is DS and his GF's one year dating anniversary. They are going to go see the Harry Potter movie today and then out to dinner. Well, they each wanted to do a surprise for the other. On Monday night, GF texted me that she wanted to decorate DS's car and when would be a good time. I suggested she come over this morning while he's still asleep. Good plan! Well, yesterday morning, DS tells me that he wants to use chalk and decorate GF's driveway around her car and that he wants to do it this morning before she gets up! Why do these two always have to think up the same plans!!!!! Me and DS's best friend finally convinced him that last night would be a better time to do it. I texted GF's Mom to fill her in on the matching plans and to make sure she knew it was DS out in her driveway with a flashlight. DS also texted her to let her know and to ask her to keep GF away from the windows. I think they'll both be surprised even if DS is a bit suspicious after we discouraged him from doing it this morning. Hopefully he'll sleep in so that I don't have to try to keep him away from the windows this morning!

Alrighty, my day today is:
Make DH's lunch
Bake a pineapple upside down cake
Laundry
Be sure that DS doesn't see GF decorating his car
Try to get a photo or 2 of GF decorating car
Get a photo of DS with the car
Work
Finish making Christmas cards
Plan cooking times for dishes for tomorrow so that they are all ready at the same time

Mornin'!! Today's gonna be a good day!!! It's the last day of work for my DH this week & the last day of school for the kids (minus ball practices but we are use to that)... Thursday & Friday are dedicated to family time... (movies, fun, events & a little scrapping when we get bored with things... which probably won't be much because everyone is so excited for this time together)....

Today, I have a list a mile long...but have made a dent in it already..
Here is what is left to do in no particular order:

almost done & it's only 1pm!!!
clean bathroom
make sure all beds are made
dust/sweep family room/entry/hallway
finish Mary Poppins & Bert title
photos of Mary Poppins & Bert set
bag/tag Mary Poppins & Bert set
cut template for the Mickey & Minnie set (title only)
finish Christmas Planner for my purse
get mailer loaded with Ann's swap (didn't do this yesterday as I was called into school to help early)
get birthday card out for BFF
email B & B measurements for MP & B.
find photo for B ~ Everest related
email said photo to B
cut leaves and bare tree for 2010 "Thank"ful tree for scrapbook page on Thursday
pick up kids from school
homework supervisior
snack
edit DD's term paper/discuss with her any questions that I have.
pick up DS14 from basketball practice


There is a ton more but I can't remember off the top of my head... I need to go rattle the older kids & get the laundry rebooted...

call DB to see if they are coming up earlier since their school is closed too (they are both teachers!!!)
roads are better today, go pick up mom, make Costco run
stop at food store for fresh stuff, figure out what to have for dinner??

How spoiled is my kid?! My BIL bought her a (refurbished) laptop. It was supposed to be for Christmas, but my sister can't give gift cards to the nephews and a laptop to Morgan...So, it's just because! She's a lucky lucky girl, but it means lots of setup time for me.

I forgot to share this article about my niece last week - just something to be thankful for. A journey...

Happy Wednesday

It's been a busy day here. Both Rachel & I went to the eye doctor, had exams and got fitted for new glasses. Then I took the girls to lunch and a movie. We saw Tangled and we all loved it Rachel has declared it to be her new favorite Disney movie and I place it in second behind Beauty and the Beast.

Just a drive-by check-in here. We went to get Christmas pics done today--hellooooooo, fuzzy! That was an adventure! Though, we did get some I really liked, so that's good!

My mom is home now and resting uncomfortably . She and her catheter are not loving each other, but no more liquid diet, so she can eat the Thanksgiving dinner her daughter (me) is lovingly preparing by standing in line at Cracker Barrel!! Her surgeon yesterday called me a slacker for going the CB route. I thought, "hmmmm. . .my Thanksgiving would be better if you hadn't messed up, so let's not split hairs!!"

I hope all of you have had a wonderful day! Can't wait to get up early in the morning and soak up the day!

Brooke so glad to hear that mom is home. Hopefully she remembers to stay ontop of taking the pain meds so she gets the much needed comfortable healing rest. I will keep you both in my prayers.

His cousin moved there after she got married. He's originally from that area I believe. He is a guidence counselar and she's a pshcologist (?) their oldest is actually 10 and the other is 7 or 8. I do believe that she hyphenated her last name (so part is the same as mine)

My grandparents lived almost back to back in Holliston from the 30s on. I have two sisters still in town and now Betsy, too. We're the next town over
