Does Deb have today off? She sometimes is late to the party when she's got the day off. Here's hoping it's that and not a sickness!

Happy day before S16 to PJ!!!

I'm at home today. BIL is coming to fix my ceiling! We are doing the finish work, so I don't know how much better it will look, but at least there won't be a gaping HOLE in my kitchen ceiling anymore! I pretty much emptied the room, so I can't do much in either the living room or dining room...I will probably go upstairs and change the beds and sort the laundry. I guess I could vacuum up there...I don't know how long it's supposed to take, but I do need to go out at some point today.

The cats are NOT happy. They are locked in my room. Funny, that's where they spend most of the day, but close the door and they don't want to be in there. :confused3

Anywho, hope everyone has a great day!

Here's hoping that Debbie just has the day off and her DS isn't sick.

Happy early Birthday to PJ!!!

Jennifer, good luck on the ceiling. I know exactly what you mean about the cats and closed doors. One of mine will be sleeping quite happily on the bench at the end of my bed, but if I close the door so that I can change clothes or something, he's immediately at the door crying and scratching to get out!:confused3 Silly cats!

I don't have much planned for today since I'm working the earlier shift at Michaels (9:00-3:00). That's the shift I like since I'm at my best early in the day! I'm hoping to scrap a bit when I get home since I haven't done any in ages and I've got swaps to work on!!!!

Yup... Late to the party cause I'm off today :teeth: I love days off!! I woke up at my reg time, and just got to rollover and snooze some more :goodvibes

DS17 is home sick today...fever. School nurse says lots of kids are out with a virus, fever for a few days then fine. Sounds like the one he had before, so not sure what this one is...hoping it's not the start of the piggy flu

My today list:

Check out Flylady.net for Holiday cruising mission.

15min in the Pit-have to take pics of stuff going to Goodwill for tax purposes
15 min in the Hole
15 min Paper Mountain...I need another month of this one...

Plan a menu for the next week
Maybe make some crockpot soup for the fridge to grab and go

Try on wedding clothes to see if they still fit... have a friend getting married next Friday

Meet BFF at DSW for wedding shoes...

Early Dinner at Red Robin with BFF

Glad to hear it is just a day off... sorry to hear DS has a fever.. rest, fluids and some TV will fix him up! :)

Did my errands today so I'm done today... I now have the day off from babysitting as the little girl is home sick.. :( Mom isn't feeling well either....

Ok, off to get some things done...

White stuff - Day 2

So still stuck at the apartment. It has finally stopped, but there is a ton everywhere. It's supposed to pick up mid-day for a few more hours before it goes away completely.

Plan for today is get my clothes all packed up. DH can do his own.

WOW, that's alot of white stuff!!!

It needs to go North and stay away from me!
While 16 years ago tomorrow we had 2" of that stuff on the ground.. I don't want any of that stuff falling on my DD's Sweet 16.... it's bad enough there is a chance of rain.. :( I've told her it's because all 4 of her great grandparents are so excited that their eldest great-grandchild will be 16!!! Tears of joy from heaven!

Hope that the weather is fabulous for your DD biorhtday Nancy!

Today:

Newspaper story says there is 18" in the town where the house is. I think there is a foot here, but it could be more...hard to tell with the drifting. It's started again...

Oh good gracious Hope!! Yuck!! I guess this will definitely be making a scrapbook page or 2 about the move!

Ok, gals, I have to tell you what my BFF from my hometown did for my DD's birthday...
She called last week to see what she needed, nothing she needs, nothing she wants really.... so BFF suggested a key ring, with the butterfly theme... that sounds great.. When Granny passed away 12 years ago she bought my DD a butterfly necklace to the viewing and gave it to her and said that she had been told that butterflies mean life..and to celebrate it... She got DS1 at the time a book... he still has it! How funny is that! Anyway, she mailed DD her key chain today.... I went ahead and snuck a peek and inside are two beautiful butterfly charmed key chains..w/a note that says that she bought herself one to match, please keep one and give one to mom...and this way when we are traveling we are all traveling together at all times! I just couldn't help but cry! WOW!

This same BFF when PJ was born rushed to the hospital and brought her a Sweet Dreams book and included a note about how she and I met and that she would always be there for my DD.... on her first birthday she bought her a simple gift of a handercheif...well the handkercheif came w/a poem about it being a bonnet for her to wear, cut a piece and it would be the handkercheif she would carry w/ her bridal bouquet.. I have it kept very safe...
