That was a REALLY fast weekend!!

So, I stayed out too late last night. My friends have been going to a special Halloween bingo for the last few years, but I was always working evenings... so I got to go last night for the first time!! We got dressed up, and had a blast. I went as a medieval princess. I got there and one friend says "Who are you Princess Barbie?" :rotfl: I was so close to winning a couple of times, but nada. So, DH keeps laughing at me, but I guess it's official, I'm becoming an old lady and going to bingo with my friends :lmao:

My List for Today:

Caffeinate

Good Monday morning, everyone!! I so agree with you, Deb--this weekend FLEW by!! This is a 4-day week for us at work, though, so I'm hoping it's a quick one!

Once it hit me yesterday how very close we are to Christmas (yikes!!), DH & I have made a tentative house-cleaning plan. . .I'm not the cleanest house in the world, but I have to scrub it down before putting out Christmas decos!! Maybe with a list, we can tackle it a little at a time!

Here's my list for today:

21. Edit pic for Mom
22. Go to sleep sort of early!!

Everyone have a wonderful Monday!!

My trip to Myrtle Beach was so fun, but it went so quickly!!! I shared a house with my Mom and 4 of my friends from where I used to live. We had a tea party one night and champagne parties 2 nights!!! The class I gave went really well. I wasn't too sure about how well the paper bag album would go over with non-scrappers (they are all cross stitchers), but they loved it. One group told me it's the best class they've ever taken. That made me so happy!

Now it's back to reality and I need to get my house back together after it being in the hands of only DH and DS for 5 days!:scared1:

Today:
DS up and off to school

Finish unpacking
Tidy and Clean-up everywhere!

Got a sick kiddo home today.
Poor Little Bit. Had a fever of 102.8 yesterday. He is still sleeping right now.
If it is the Swine, I'm hoping that the shots he got will keep the symptoms and duration to a minimum. They don't test in Ohio, so I will never know.

Laundry.
Figure out what to make for newbie swap and get it cut out today.
Write up grocery list. Not sure when I will get to go.
Keep Little Bit company.

I'm working today. Was asleep way early last night, so I was up early this morning.

We went to the Harry Potter Exhibit at the Museum of Science yesterday...Hoo boy, it was fun! Not having my camera made me focus on the exhibit itself, so that was good. And, there were a few items out in the "regular" museum, so I got some fun photos there. PrincessM had a great time, but she was miffed at me because I wouldn't spend $45 on a wand. Eeep, she's such a Diva. Instead, she got a Gryffindor scarf and a bookmark, either way, with my stuff I spent over $50! It was a fun day! People watching was fun too. :rotfl2:

So, working, homework duty, dinner, dishes, read or sew, bed.

I'm working tomorrow because my co-worker is off for the week. A few extra hours won't kill me.

Glad to hear you had a fun time, Stephanie. I used to cross stitch years ago. Kitties must have missed you!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hope Little Bit gets better soon!

AWM, I hope Little Bit feels better quickly.

Jennifer, we saw the Harry Potter exhibit when we were in Chicago. It was awesome. DS and I both really enjoyed it. We didn't buy much in the way of souveniers. I did get a bunch of bookmarks to use on my page for the exhibit. I did like you and took photos of the few things they had outside the exhibit.

I bought the postcards to use on the pages. I also had to have the Exhibit booklet, oh and a couple pencils. Princess is a collector. She was excited it was cold enough to wear her scarf this morning.

Deb - Hey, I love bingo! It's not just for old ladies! When you start wearing one of those little visor things when you go though - that's when you know you have a problem. Lou's grandmother has one with sequins on it. :scared:

DIT - Welcome back! Glad you had a great time, and that everyone loved your class!

AWM- Hope Little Bit feels better soon - with you to take care of him, I'm sure he will!

Jennifer - From going to the movies, I can only imagine how people looked going to this. If someone made off with a prop, I bet they would have fit right in... :rotfl: Glad you had a good time - I want to go soon!

Only two days of school this week, and then it's off to my seminar! Yay! (Although it will probably be more boring than classes)

I think I am up to House - Day 10.

We did succeed in moving everything we wanted to the house with the Expedition. We still have a few pieces of furniture at the apartment, but we are having professional movers come and move those few things. I have 2 display pieces that used to be used at the Disney Stores when they used to have collectibles. They are heavy, and difficult to move, and DH doesn't like handling them. So instead of hiring movers for just those 2 things, we decided they could also move the sofa, the dresser, and the desk & hutch.

Short list today

Load to house
Sand and wipe down walls in basement
Michaels for art brush. I am terrible at making straight lines with the 1" trim brush, I thought I would try a smaller brush.
Make sure pathways are clear for appliance delivery on Tue

Ok it's Monday

Gotta fix that tire still
Laundry - sheets today
Reschedule Little Gym class - see above
Lunch with friend
Maybe sneak a trip to Michaels - I have a gift card!:cool1:
Show her model home that we are building on our parcel
Hit Target, attempt to get out for under $100
Get Little one a nap
PU girls - DD and DNiece at school
PU DNephew at High School
Site Council Mtg 4 pm
Feed cows
Dinner - Roasted chicken or something else

Everyone have a great Monday!!

i'm sorry to hear this. poor little bit. hope he feels better real soon.

deb- do you need a troll for good luck!? i'll send you one!!!!

Nan-tell PJ happy birthday week!

DIT-glad you had a good time.

i've had a crappy morning and need to get to work.
i'll pop in later if i can!

The temp was 101.3 when he woke up but it is now down to 99.9. Without the Tylenol. He is coughing less too. If he had the swine, the vaccine is doing it's job. :thumbsup2 Glad Eldest got his on Saturday. Now for the rest of us to be eligible. They need to go through all the high risk folks first. I'm thinking maybe January for us healthy adults.

Hope your day gets better Holly.

Sorry to be SO late to the party today, folks! Today was busy but only a few things were on the list:

Call neurologist to find out CT results (she called back promptly to say "normal" - whew!)
Go with DH to get "now our only" car inspected (passed - whew!)
Go with DH for DS annual neuropsych exam - the hours long first half of it, anyway...read/finished book group book while he was being tested
Come home and promptly conk out on the sofa
Wake up, post here...

Vacuum seal and freeze the meats we bought yesterday - dinners for the next ten days or more
Toss ingredients for pizza crust into the bread machine
Go to book group tonight - DH feeds the kids and I get a night out with the girls
Come home and ooohhhh and aahhhhh over our brand-new Mac computer which is arriving tonight! (The local Apple store spent yesterday and this a.m. moving all our info off of the old machine and onto the new one - sweet!)
Meds and bed!

Hey, I just noticed....this is my 500th post (under this name, anyway!!!!)

:rainbow:

And still waiting for a visit from the Tag Fairy...!

I must be too boring for a visit! I'll have to get more creative, I guess!!!

Ya know, what I don't get is they are saying piggy flu is going to peak the end of Oct to the beginning of Nov...and they are also saying that the vaccine is delayed, at least that is what public health here is saying... so, I'm wondering what's the point of the vaccine right now. It takes like 2 weeks to become effective right? :confused3 If they offer it at work, I'll get it though, but just wondering...

AWM- Sounds like Lil Bit is doing good. His shot must be working... hope he is feeling better!

Holly- Troll? Like those ones with the hair that sticks up? They are supposed to be lucky? hmmmm

Z2H- Glad to hear that it doesn't mean I'm totally old yet. Haven't seen any visors yet... Saw some crazy stuff last night though.

OK, so they are doing something at work, and it effects the air...so I was working in a labcoat and gloves in 84 degrees :scared1: I have such a headache! And get this...as I'm LEAVING, they roll in the portable AC unit...sheesh...

Takes 8 - 10 days for the H1N1 vaccine to be effective.

Seriously, they have no freakin' clue when this thing is going to peak. They thought it would go away during the summer and it didn't. They think there will be a second wave in January but aren't giving any supporting date for that theory. They say millions have already gotten it, but most who had ILI symptoms probably didn't and should still get the vax. They are saying don't participate in Swine Flu Parties but are forcing kiddos to go to school which is just one huge germ festival every day.

Get the vaccine when it is available. Just don't expect it to be a magical force field. :thumbsup2 Keep your distance from people as much as you can. Wash your hands and keep them away from your face. And if you get sick, get the Tamiflu medicine within the first 48 hours. Don't take no for an answer.
