The Croissant Doughnut returns to Connections Café at Epcot

They r good. But really are they still so popular? Didn’t think it was a thing still.

In 2022, I had something called a croissant donut at a Joffrey's stand in Epcot. It was at the stand just before you get to the America pavilion, I think. Although I was anxious to try it, it didn't "Wow" me. But on the plus side, I think it was less expensive- $3.99 plus DVC discount.

Do you keep up with food trends in any way? I see these all over Instagram and they are appearing in many bakeries all over.
We are huge cooks and pretty big foodies. The cupcakes look awesome. Sent a pic to my wife before. Said we got to make these. I’m not on any social media. She never saw em either. I don’t know maybe it’s us. If it has to do with bbq or smoked foods I’m pretty up to date I think. Lol

Google "croissant spiral." It's the latest trend for laminated dough. Croissant muffins were last year, but Disney is slow to catch up. I'm guessing we will see croissant spirals next year.

Like I said, the croissant muffin has made it's way to Disneyland at the Jolly Holiday Bakery and it is FAR better than the lowly croissant doughnut at Epcot (at least the one I had at the Refreshment Port a few years ago).

Connections Eatery has a good food game, so I expect this cronut to be better than its predecessor, although I'm surprised they didn't jump on the croissant spiral trend. They do Liege waffles which are also a trendy food item these days.

Cool. I buy croissant donuts from a local shop every few weeks. But I got my wife on the muffin ones. Since I’m a year behind already I’ll wait to hit her with a spiral bakery order. Lol

Are these any good? The 2 Cronuts I tried at refreshment port back in the day were both an overcooked oily mess…
