The Crazy Life of a New Floridian & Ongoing TRs

I see what you are up to now! You are baiting those wild animals at your house in effort to convert them into beverage fetchers! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Poor monkey! :sad2:

It depends how my mom is feeling. She's just had double knee replacement this week - so if she's up for it when they come down for Ally's bday at the end of March, then we'll come down for a couple of days. But if she's still hurting, then we'll hold off until the fall.

Darn parents, ruining my Disney plans! :lmao:

Oh, I had already thought of that, and then forgot again when I saw your dates.

Nah, I've got Ally for that! :rotfl2:

Oh yeah, she is a pro bartender in your porch area!:thumbsup2

OK, I've got dismeets coming out my.... well, you got the idea, right? :rotfl2:

I'm so excited to meet Jillian next month - we've been chatting on another thread for over a year now so this will be great!

Then the first of May I'm meeting another bud from that thread!

Then, later in May I am not just meeting a "stranger" but staying with her for two nights! :confused3 These DISboards are just nuts, huh? Ellen, it was great talking to you last night!!!

I've got ADRs planned for March - just doing Sci Fi for lunch. I needed another restaurant for "the wall." Then in May we've got Boma for dinner one night and Kona for breakfast to try the Tonga toast. And then Jiko with Ellen later in May!

I still wanna try Rose and Crown some day but Jeff is so against it. I think I'll save Biergarten for when my parents come to visit - my dad loves German food! So if we can get Rose and Crown out of the way, that will be all of Epcot except for China and Japan, and I really have no interest at all in those because we can do chinese and japanese locally.

So my next goals are Spoodles to finish off the boardwalk area; and 50's Primetime to finish off MGM (that might be a fun one with my P's, too). Hollywood and Vine will probably never be done, and until Brown Derby starts getting some better reviews, that one is way on the back burner, too.

Then at AK I need to try Y&Y. Isn't that the only one there?

Still lots of character meals we've never done - CP, TH at AK, CM, LTT, so maybe have to squeeze one in with my P's - they'd enjoy that. Hard to believe the only character meals we have done is Akershus (every trip) and GG.

Have never done a TS at Magic Kingdom. Just not interested in Tony's and The Plaza.

Wow, Kara, I knew I was just another notch in your belt there, but man - you'd think you could show more enthusiasm! :confused3
:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Seriously though, We did TH for Breakfast and that was BY FAR my fav! Seriously, way better interaction than CM and the food was so much better too! We did CM for dinner though, but I seriously thought CP was much better. Maybe we just went on an off night, but the food and such was just way better at CP. CM does have more of a "nightlife" feel - but still... I'm not in any rush to get back there and even Nicolas doesn't want to go - he'll go to TH, but said NO to CM.

You could always try TH in May :laughing: We'll be there around 8:30 Sunday morning. :laughing: LTT just seemed too Thanksgiving like to me and I dunno - warm weather + that kind of rich food = me :sick:

Off to bed and benadryl - I look like I've been attacked by a wild bunch of bees! :rotfl2:

Hi Kara! You have a lot of Dis meets planned. So, are you freezing up there this morning? We are in the 40's here. A neighbor told me winter is probably over at least.

I thought winter was over 2 weeks ago! It just keeps coming back one chilly night at a time. But looking at the 2 week forecast, I think this is it! Spring is coming!!!! :cool1:

Almost did a day trip to AK today - then Jeff remembered we were going in 2 weeks, so we held off. I'm actually glad though. We have a lot to do around the house this weekend, we may go visit his p's next weekend, and then to Disney, so this is the only weekend to do anything here.

There is a lot to do in Florida isn't there. My DH wants to go to a convention in Orlando next weekend. I have reservations for the Kim Possible AP Event, and am trying to figure out whether to change our time or just skip it. All times are available, so it doesn't look like people are signing up. Most of the AP events have filled up really quickly.

I'll post it in my TR soon, but Jacob and I really had a fun time at AK a couple of weeks ago. There are trails we had never explored. Still didn't see the parade.:sad2:

I'd be happy to meet you there any time as it's one of our favourites. :thumbsup2

and until Brown Derby starts getting some better reviews, that one is way on the back burner, too.
You have to go to BD! We've never had a bad meal there and the atmosphere is lovely. I guess it's all about what you enjoy, huh? :goodvibes

Name the time and place!!! Actually, I'll let you know next time Ally and I go alone. Jeff gives me the eyeroll evry time I tell him I have a dismeet! :lmao: See, I secretly plan our weekends when I know my friends are going. He doesn't know this though, so sssshhhhh!

After our weekend next week, I think I'm gonna start a whole new TR link. I'll post the link here, but I don't know that people want to weed through all my critter adventures to get to the Disney stuff..... :rotfl2:

Speaking of critters, the lizards are back. And you know that scene in Jurassic Park (it may be on Dinosaur, too....) where the big T-Rex has the smaller dino in its mouth? That is what Bucky looks like when he gets a lizard! :rotfl2:

GET THE CAMERA OUT!!!!!!!:rotfl:

I LOVE BD- I've had several great meals there.:confused3 And Jane (my GF from St John) just ate there about a week ago for the 1st time and said it was FABULOUS!

By the way- did you know that after the main dismeet on the 17th, a bunch of Dissers are planning to head over to R&C? I have to say- I'd eat there anytime- when I have eaten there, I thought it was very, very good. What doesn't Jeff like about it?

We have never eaten there - but he's a food snob. He says, "What do the British know about food?" :snooty: Yeah, cause we Americans have invented so MUCH food! :rolleyes: He's an idiot. But he's my idiot.... :goodvibes I really want to try it sometime....

Hey y'all, I'm back! I've posted the link to my new TR in my siggie. It was a great weekend, with lots of surprises!!!!! Hope to see y'all there!

Woooosh....that's the sound your highly entertaining reports made today as they attached themselves to my bootay, which then attached itself to a large comfy chair. I've read all three today and am left with a question and comment. Apologies if these pressing issues were resolved and I missed it.

A.) Did anyone ever catch the feral Snow Monkey? Monkeys give me the skeeves... I think this little visit from nature would have done me in.
2.) Have you tried green (or French) lentils in your lentil salad? There's no difference in taste...just texture.

~~~Shamelss Jax Plug~~~~ if ya'll need an adventure this or any other weekend this summer, check out the Riverside Arts Market downtown....saying this because I have a friend with a booth there.
Again - have enjoyed immensely!
OK, sweet pea, I see you posted at 1am - you really need to stop reading and go to bed!!!! :rotfl2: But I know these are pressing issues, so let me address....
Never heard anymore about the monkey. One day it was all over the local news, the next day nothing. Ally's summer camp group even went on a monkey hunt one day last summer, and there was talk in the neighborhood. But that's all I know.
Green lentils? What were the ones that I used? Just lentils? What is the dfference? That salad is so dang good! Jeff finally made it a few weeks ago and it turned out great. Note to anyone reading, do not allow me in your kitchen.....
And finally, do tell more about the Riverside ARts Market! We love finding more things to do in town - and aside from a bday party on Saturday morning, cleaning house, lounging by the pool, going to the gym, washing the cars, working in the yard, doing 82 loads of laundry, walking the dog, and going shopping, we have nothing to do this weekend!
Oh, and thank you for reading and for all the nice comments!!! ;)
-------- By your description of the resulting mushiness I think you used brown lentils. I've tried to make lentil salad with red and brown lentils and they always go all mushy. The green ones are supposed to hold their shape better - at least that's what Bobby Flay said once on 'Boy Meets Grill'. : )
---------- One of my dear old high school friend's wife has a booth at Riverside. They tell me on Facebook that it's a great time. Haven't been myself - here's a link... http://www.riversideartsmarket.com/
I have no idea what you mean about 82 loads of laundry......
