this is just an overview of the idea. i haven't worked out all of the details, but my best friend (bloomie43--some of you might know her) and i are working it out. here was my idea for something fun to do toward the end of the summer to wrap up the season before school again. and plus we're ALWAYS complaining about how boring it is around here. it is also a way to contribute to charity. so here's my idea: a battle of the bands/end of the summer charity concert. i was thinking we could get a bunch of local bands to compete, have judges, have some sponsors (music stores or radio stations), prizes from the sponsors, and maybe a famous or at least semi-famous band to play at the end! we have a friend whose mom is a massage-therapist and she does a bunch of famous bands when they come into town so we were hoping she could hook us up with someone through her "connections." she also suggested that if we go to one of the music stores around here, they can provide some of the bands!! i was figuring that we would charge to enter a band and charge for admission for anyone who wants to come. all proceeds would go to a charity (haven't decided which one yet). oh and we could advertise on the radio and through friends and things. but i don't know. anyway, that was just a brief overview. we have more detail but are still working things out. what does everyone think?? i wanted more opinions than just my friends before i talked to my parents about it!!!!

so anyway, me and frannie have decided that u, amanda, carebear, etc. have to come down (or up) to ky if we end up getting it to work!!!! u all have to come see it!!! it'll be like a grand ol' reunion !!!! can u picture us? it wuld be like a movie with triumphant music and slow-mo and ocnfetti and stuff lol!!

anyway....battle of the bands that we have every year rocks!!! it raises a LOT of money too!!! i LOVE it!!! we streak our hair with red, blonde, black, wear lots of eyeliner, and it's all one HUGE party!!! it's awesome!!! you should raise a lot!!! My friends Wes and Tom and Jason and there's a lot more but anyway.... i know a LOT of bands!!! Wes is the one i know best though!! he's awesome!! his band rocks!!
