We're going the week after Thanksgiving so it should be a little slower. We would love to see the candlelight processional, but can't believe the cost of the package. Come on, $45 - $60 for adults. My 11 year old will not be eating $60 worth of food. I realize there is no guarantee of a seat if you don't get the package. I wonder, how difficult is it to enjoy it without sitting in the pavilion. Can you still enjoy it outside of the seating area. Is there room to stand and listen, or to even see it outside of the the sitting area? Not sure what to do.

We have done it twice (before the prices got outrageous) and IMHO, no, it's not worth it. Yes, you can hear it just fine by hanging out in the America Garden area (but you would be standing).

Perhaps try to go to the earliest show. And, if it happens to rain, no worries- you will DEFINITELY get a seat (albeit a wet one ;)).

If you really want to see the show, then it would be wise to get the package. Even on a weekday in early Dec, the line for the dinner package can be 3 or more countries long around WS. The theater isn't that big so your only guaranteed a seat with the package. Without the package, most times you cannot get in to see the show at all.

You can stand outside the theater if you can find a spot. It is expensive and to be honest, my DH and DD found it borring.

Yes it is a little expensive but I treated this event as a special night out. For me, it was so nice to have a seat toward the front and enjoy a good meal prior to going. I saw Whoopie as a narrator and she was spectacular. Personally, I plan on doing this again!
