So we ate here for an early lunch (11:35) and we're seated right by the tank. Deff a place where a reservation is a musttttt. We were there at 11:00 but weren't seated until like 12. I had very low expectations for this place, but i loooooooove fish!!!! (not just to eat lol,but fish tanks and sea life). We had to try it ATLEAST once.

Our server was Blanca, we loved her! She seemed soo happy to be there and offered to take pictures, suggested foods, omg she was great!!!!!!!!! She gave us some bread and butter right away. (free) I didn't care for the bread very much, but ate some because i heard the foood portions were very small and i skipped out on breakfast. I thought the bread here came with some dipping oil ??? I guess they changed that.

We started with the appetizer for 2 ($18.01).
*Alll ears description>>>Appetizer for Two - Seared scallops with a cauliflower foam with black truffle vinaigrette, Sea and Land Grilled Shrimp iwth cucumber salad and barbecued beef tenderloin skewer with cream polenta and taste of creamy lobster soup $16.99<<<<
Very expensive for what you got but oh man was the appetizer DELICIOUS! the only thing i didn't absolutely love 100% was the soup, just because it was super dooper rich, but deff loved the 2 sips i had of it! The meat was soooo moist and tender and i just loved the scallops! They had these buttery mushrooms underneath YUMMMM!

For drinks I ordered the "Bue Whale" ($6.67) which is just Sprite with cherry juice and cherries, and it also comes with one of those glow cubes (which i just loooooove!) My boyfriend got a "Great White" ($4.55) which is really just a virgin Pina Coolada..or Colada lol. Both great!

For my entree i ordered the lobster raviolois ($26.49) i couldn't find a description of this dish (or bhimals). It was just cheese raviolies with a few overcooked lobster pieces and too many onions, peppers, and a VERY fishy sauce, and sharp pamasean cheese slices.I didn't like it very much and DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS! I thought it would be a creamy lobster bisque sauce with stuffed lobster raviolis...not cheese ones. BAD.

My boyfriend Bhimal got the Beef short ribs ($26.49) and it was sooo good. I didn't like the veggies it came with, and the potatos were just okay (to me, bhimal enjoyed them) but the beef short rib was GREAT! I do reccomend this.

We were too full to get the chocolate wave (which i was looking forward to) but im deff. getting it nextime, along with the blackened catfish! You've got to come here atleast for the appetizer and amazing view of this fishtank. Omg breath taking how close you are to all these sharks, sting rays, and the 2 beautiful giant green sea turtles we saw. Just AMAZING. Here are some videos i toook! I got one with the turtle, sharks, and stingrays all at once!<33333

My family and I visited the Coral Reef restaurant last year for lunch on a trip to WDW using the DDP. The restaurant is awesome when it comes to theme and ambiance. The huge aquarium is quite lovely and colorful, lots of fun to watch the various fish and marine life as you are eating. As you said, reservations are a must and we did reserve months ahead of time. I would also recommend it for at least one visit, if nothing at all but for the theme that it offers. It is a very unique dining experience and I don't think there are any others on WDW property with this coral reef scenery. I would also agree with you on the food, in that it was OK but nothing spectacular. But in fairness, this is largely due to the fact that I am a vegetarian. The menu choices for vegans is extremely limited. I think I ordered a caesar salad. But I mainly visited here for my kids' dining pleasure and they seemed to really enjoy it. Perhaps this would be a hit with someone who really likes seafood. For me, it gets an A for the theme, C- for food mainly because of the lack of vegetarian options.
