I know I shouldn't laugh...but that is kind of funny. I'm glad you found it, and I'm sure it took a lot of cleaning to get rid of the smell.

I'm having a terrible week at work. Plus- this one will make you laugh- I noticed today that something smelled weird in my purse. (Everyone is always telling me that my purse is WAY too big) When I got home, I started rifling through it. I took everything out (medications, wallet, checkbook, 2 cameras, make up bag, tons of little things) & reached into the bottom...what did I find???? A dill pickle spear rotting through the ziploc bag. Uhhh...nope...you didn't misread that. Oh, man, was it disgusting! I washed the lining & febreezed the heck out of it. It was SOOOOO nasty! I'm still wondering when AND why I put that in my purse! I just had to share that because it was so funny/weird!

Well, I can tell Dale that he can't pick on me about what all I carry in my purse.........

That sooooo sounds like something I would do. I usually carry a big purse and toss in a few things here and there that I think I might want to snack on at work. I hope that the work week got better for you. It's almost Friday!

It did take a ton of cleaning...and it was GROSS.

I have to tell you that my week has gotten much worse. I have a 60 mile (one way) commute to work, so my car is pretty important. Well, It died yesterday morning. I have to replace the engine or get a new car. No one wants to give me a car loan- even though I would be able to pay a car payment. I had a bad year in 2006 & will be paying for that forever, apparently. Yesterday I felt ok, but today I am frustrated and depressed. I have no idea what to do. I don't want to cancel my November trip because I'll lose the deposit & the Christmas paty ticket. I did ask if it was possible to move to POFQ or Pop instead, though. I'll let you know what they say.
For now, I am completely hopeless.

Oh April, I am so sorry. I know that you and I have discussed your car situation before. We may run into trouble too when John gets ready to buy a car. There are some really good things that come with being self-employed (get to write off the majority of our house expenses since we operate the business out of the house) and then there are bad things (having to pay payments a little late because we are waiting on customers to pay us). So, I can certainly sympathize with you.

I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I am sure that somehow this whole situation will work itself out.

Thanks!! It has all worked out- I'm completely amazed at how easy it was, too. I mean- my interest rate is not the greatest, but I didn't even think I would get a loan at all!!

The weekend after my car died, my friend from PA visited for my birthday. We went to Western MA & stopped at our favorite farm. They have a little restaurant & make their own syrup.

Then, we stopped off at a new candle store that was started by the same family that created Yankee Candle. I usually visit Yankee Candle in Deerfield, but it has gotten WAY too busy over the years. This was a nice change of pace.

That Monday, I went to the dealership that I bought my last car from & had such a nice, hassle-free experience. I drove home my new car that afternoon.

It is a relief to not worry about breaking down every day, but I miss my old car. I love the new one, though. I keep thinking that it isn't really my car.
John took me to dinner on my birthday, which was really nice. This past weekend was our 3 year anniversary. I cooked for him & he brought over flowers. It was nothing fancy, but it was nice.

I'm not sure how I am going to afford to eat on my vacation (Because of the new car payment), but I'll try to make it work. 22 days to go!

Mark and I want to squeeze in a trip next year (we weren't going to go because of our big plans for 2013, but since they've all changed we want to do a quick Disney trip next year) and I said we could just do one sit down meal and the rest counter service or we'll fix something in the room if we get a kitchen.

I really like almost every counter service place at WDW, so that may be the approach I take in November. There are a few of my sit down meals that I want to try to keep, though.

Thanks!!! It has been really nice to drive to work & home without the fear of breaking down. That new candle store was really nice. They have "men's" candles. I think that is such a great idea- I mean...most men don't want to burn fruity, flowery, or sweet candles, so they offer some earthy scents. Plus they are wrapped in a thick plaid material. They sell a lot of other scents, too. I bought a bunch of the teeny candles just to see if I liked them. I really like their fresh basil & heather scents. The Kringle Candle store is in Bernardston. It is a really pretty drive in the fall.

I'm having a serious Disney problem...I renewed my annual pass online & it was supposed to be here on October 7th. Well- I still have not gotten it. I e-mailed ticketing 2 times & got no response. I called & was on hold for 25 minutes yesterday- I had to hang up before anyone answered. When I called again today, they call wait time was an hour! My lunch break is not that long, so I had to hang up. I'm freaking out because I leave in 3 weeks. I don't know what to do!
