Our family (DW, DD3 and DD5) stayed at CR from 6/22 to 6/24. My wife attended a conference there so we decided to make a vacation out of it (we later stayed at CBR from 6/24 to 7/2). We were lucky enough to be placed in a newly refurbished tower room on the 8th floor facing MK. Overall, I agree with ScottieDog about his overall assessment of CR. I think the greatest thing going for CR is it's location. Walking distance from MK and in our case a great view of MK (especially Wishes fireworks each night!). What screams more Disney than a monorail that runs right through the resort? As a child, I remember saying to myself - I want to stay at that hotel with the train that goes through it.
Now the bathroom issue. I also had the same issues ScottieDog had. They're minor details but you think Disney would have thought about the details when they did the interior design especially considering the resort is also used by FAMILIES on vacation and not just conference attendees. Deluxe resorts are called deluxe resorts for those thoughtful "minor details". The sinks look nice and all but they are not very kid friendly. My girls had a hard time reaching the faucets to brush their teeth. Counter space is also very limited. We ended up not using one of the sinks (the one closest to the shower) for counter space. One other issue I had - not already mentioned - is the sliding bathroom doors do not lock. Not a big deal unless you want some privacy.
Now would I recommend CR to someone who's never stayed there? ABSOLUTELY! The location alone is worth every penny.
