In Which We Find How a Fox and a Wolf Planned a Trip to Disney World, and the Stories Begin

pooh1foxwolf.png

Here is Stormeyes, coming down the forest trails, now. Trot, trot, trot, light on her foxy feet, behind Dropkick the Wolf. It is, as far as she knows, the only way of finding relaxation in her hectic life, but sometimes she feels that there really is another way. If only she could stop trotting for a moment and think of it. And then she thinks of it.

Since the day they had met, Fox and Wolf were inseperable, and on that same day, decided that a Disney vacation should be in order, when summer ended and autumn began the following year.

"It was destined, Wolf, that I will always trot at your side. That is why our birthdays are only a day apart."

"I would like that," said Wolf to Fox, "Both of those things."

~*****~

Hello! I call myself Stormeyes or Fox. I'm 26, turning 27 on Sept. 2nd. I've been to Disney World 4 times previously (my last trip was in 2010), and Disneyland once. My absolute favorite rides at WDW are Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Haunted Mansion, Spaceship Earth, and Buzz Lightyear's Ranger Spin. My favorite Disney movies are Lady and the Tramp, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King. My favorite Disney character is Donald Duck! I also am OBSESSED (all caps!) with the Disney/Square-Enix video game series "Kingdom Hearts".

I went to the Rochester Institute of Technology, and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation. At a young age, I wanted to be a Disney Animator, but now that I'm older, that dream seems less and less realistic, and I really just want to draw for fun. I'm completely burnt out. If I could, I'd love to figure out a way to make money writing and illustrating a Disney Blog, haha! And for the record, yes, I did all the illustrations for the various chapters of my report!

DBF is 29, going to be 30 on September 1st. (Yep. The day before mine.) He's referred to in my stories as Dropkick or Wolf. He's only been to Disney World once before, back in 2010 before we met, and he stayed off-site. His favorite Disney movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas, and his favorite character is Jack Skellington! His favorite rides are Pirates of the Caribbean, Test Track, and Kali River Rapids.

He's a medical assistant at a pediatric office, half-way through his Biology undergrad. He wants to be a veterinarian, specializing in large animals, and his dream job is to work at the Animal Kingdom Veterinary center. He was a combat medic in the US Army for four years, stationed in the States. He's strong, handsome, and my best friend in the whole world. We are, indeed, inseperable!

When we met on April 19th, 2012, our love of Disney was one of the first topics that came up. We had fell in love at first sight, had a ton in common, and had great chemistry. We decided "we should take a trip to Disney for our birthdays" the next year, and that's where we're at today!

Chapter Two
In Which Fox and Wolf Decide on Their Resort, and An Itinerary is Planned.

Stormeyes, known to her friends as Fox for short, was normally the sort of fox who liked to do things on her own. She followed her own patterns and routines every day, often humming or singing as she goes. Tra-la-la, tra-la-la! She was a very clever fox.

Fox and Wolf were walking gaily along through the wood, when they came upon the office of a Disney Travel Agent.

"Aha!" said Wolf, (Tra-la-la, said Fox) "If I know anything about Disney Travel Agents, it means Disney," he said, "and Disney means Adventure!"

Fox smiled, bouncing along the path, "And Adventure means Fun and Food and me singing Tra-la-la and such like!"

We met up with our Disney Travel Agent, Bonnie, in March, near the 180 mark of when we wanted to go. We knew much of the details of what we wanted before going in, and Bonnie was just handling them.

~*THE RESORT*~

Pop-Century-Resort.jpg

We decided on POP! Century Resort! I had stayed in ASSp and ASMu on previous trips and was comfortable, so I had no problem with a Value. Wolf and I are park/restaurant people, and we weren't looking for fancy accomodations. We're happy!

Another deciding factor was the seperate bus system for Pop than the All-Stars, although I'm well aware Pop's got ~3000-some-odd rooms. And Tie-Dye Cheesecake. That needs to be eaten. I really adore the theming at this resort. I can't wait to take a dip in the Computer pool! It really just seems like a fun place to spend our vacation! I do want to take a walk over to Art of Animation, because I do LOVE animation, and see what that's all about.

I'm not hurt that I can't afford to stay in a moderate or deluxe. I made a lot of resort ADR's so we can go visit some really cool hotels!

We put in a few requests for our room. I know about the fridge situation, but honestly, I'm optimistic about having that blown over and having a fridge by the time we get there. We want to be in an 80's or 90's building. (80's, preferably, because it's our Birth decade, and that automatically makes it the best.) Seemed appropriate seeing as we were going for our Birthdays. We like the fact that those building are more out of the way. We're hoping it's not busy or noisy over there. We're young and have quite a bit of stamina, so all day at the parks and all the walking makes the collapse onto the bed so much sweeter!

I also tried to put in some requests for a King bed in a non-handicapped room. (I checked. They exist, but they aren't plentiful.) or near a designated smoking section. I just don't want a King Bed handicapped room. I hate the way the showers are.
