So after a long and wonderful day at MK and a FANTASTIC pirate cruise, it was time for our clan to head back to the water parks...WOO HOO!! I don't know any adults who love the water parks as much as we do, my family just doesn't understand the attraction. I told them, "if you ever bother to go to Disneyworld with us, you'd understand"...well that worked, they are now coming with us on our trip in September

Did I do a good thing or a bad..only time will tell
On with the show. Although we got in late and did'nt fall asleep until about 1:00 (sat up watching Stacy again, don't understand our attraction there either), we were up bright and early @ 7:00am. Ok, I was the only one really bright, but everyone was up early. After groggily fixing a pot of coffee for himself, DH was rearin' to go. The boys were hastily getting on their swim trunks, looking for sand pails and towels and doing very well. I, of course, had been up for awhile and was completely ready to go with all things packed and cooler ready to be filled. I LOVE water park days for so many reasons, but a few are..
1) no showers in the morning...WOOO HOOO
2) packing lunch breaks up the sometimes monotonous (sp?) disney grub
3) relaxing on the lazy river...and, OK, I'll stop now.
So, it's 7:30 now, and I am ready to go!! Since we are staying @ OKW and Blizzard Beach is on the agenda for today, we need to get going. BB and AKL are probably the furthest parks from our resort, and I want to be at the entrance @ 7:50 for EMH. So we're off.
After a stop @ Walgreens for some treats & Publix for sandwich fixins and ice, we're Finally on our way. We hit BB and it is almost EMPTY...YEEE HAWWWW!! We are literally about 10th in line. See, there are other more anal retentive Disney vacationers than me..thank goodness

So we wait in line, get our EMH bands, and they let us in early again..yeah.
We find the perfect spot for us by the wave pool and stake our claim, then off to Teamboat Springs. After the 10 minute trek completely uphill....ha..pant...ha..gag..pant..We made it, and NO line!! We walk right on, and go down, what a great family slide, it is the best family slide anywhere IMHO. So, what do we do..gluton for punishment family of mine, we begin the trek right back up, pant..ha..tongue hanging out..etc, and ride it again..BLAST! Then I get the great idea of riding summit plummet for the 1st time. DH politely informs me that I'm an idiot, but have fun

He takes the boys to the wave pool and I'm off. I take the lift up the the ride, and there are about 20 people ahead of me, not too bad. After about a 10 minute wait, I am sitting at the top of the world, over looking Walt's amazing dream world and thinking I really am an idiot

How could I have done this and how can I get out of it. Well, I did it because I was just not thinking and I couldn't get out of it. So hastily, I sat down, then laid down, prayed and was gone. About 10 seconds and a fast ride later it was over. Was I glad I rode it??? yes. Will I ever do it again..uh..NO! So, can add that to my list..whew.
Met up with the boys and had lunch then took it easy on the lazy river for about an hour. Rode a few more slides, the did the wave pool again for about an hour, then we were ready to go.
We headed back to our room, got showers and cleaned up and then took a fabulous nap..all of us, it was pure heaven sleeping in the middle of the day in WDW, I don't know why, but it filled me with such a peace and quiet I'll always remember.
After we woke up, we were HUNGRY.and I mean HUNGRY, so we were ready to eat. We had dinner reservations at WCC, but we all wanted frankfurters in Germany @ Epcot, so we cancelled our ressie and headed to World Showcase. After 2 hot dogs w/sauerkraut for me @ ds8 each, and 2 brats for DH & ds5 each and 8 apple streudels, we were finally full. We were on the dining plan which is the reason for the massive amount of desserts, love the
DDP btw. Let me just throw in that I have NEVER liked sauerkraut until I had it @ Somerset in Germany, it is so wonderful!! For 2 finicky boys to eat it, it is good, just my personal thumbs up
We rode figment, honey I shrunk the audience and Soarin' then headed back home. We had ridden Soarin' on opening weekend @ DCA and have always loved it, a great way to end another great day.
Gettin' back to our home @ OKW and settling down for the day, thoughts of tomorrow were already stirring in my head..I'm sick..I know
Will keep up with finishing our trip so no more long waits. Thanks for those who've emailed kind thoughts and posters with the same kind sentiments, they are appreciated. Thanks for keeping up with us on our trip report..more tomorrow!!
