Alex: Alex nodded her head and noticed a large store with beach towels, swimsuits, and floaties in the windows. She grinned and pointed over to it saying excitedly,"Guys, there's one of the stores I was talking about! We have to go look in it!"

Alex: "That must be easy! I imagine being in boarding schools would be harder than public schools though, isn't it? I've always been in public schools and I think it's a little easier for everything. What do you think?" She said then smiled thinking about how she rambled a bit.

Max: "For most boarding school kids, yeah, I guess it's easy if you return to the same one every year. But I usually go to two or three a school year, depending on when I get kicked out. It's a pain to transfer credits, and I could be on track with the class, or we could be covering either something I learned weeks ago or something I've never seen before. I guess it's just like changing schools in any other format. The professors though, they can either be really helpful or can make your life suck, since they get to know you much better than in public or private schools." Max then looked at the store. A swim shop it looked like. Max usually had one swimsuit, and she only got a new one when the old one was too small. She was skeptical, but would go in with everyone else.

River: "okay" River said smiling "let's go in" she said still holding hands with Daniel.

Alex: Alex nodded her head when Max was finished and turned back to look at the store. When she heard River she smiled and cheered,"Wicked!" Hurriedly, she ran to the door too excited to just walk. She turned back to the group and grinned with a wave, then she walked inside fixing her bangs and then started looking at some magnets they were selling that looked like crabs smiling like a goof.

River: "okay" River said smiling "let's go in" she said still holding hands with Daniel.

Daniel: "Whatever you say," Daniel said with an easy smile. He walked in with River, glad that she was holding his hand. He figured they often looked silly to the other students, as the only couple on their campus and actually acting like a couple all the time, but he didn't care. She was his River, and he was her Daniel, and they didn't care how silly they looked. Well, at least he didn't. And anyway, he figured if and when some of the others got together, the spotlight would be off he and River.

Max: Max followed the group into the store. She was unsure what would be inside, but she figured she could linger in the back and be ignored.

Toby: Toby shrugged and followed Alex into the store. He walked over to a shelf filled with snow globes, each depicting a building with the city's name below it. He picked one up and shook it watching the snow fall back to the bottom slowly.

River: River walked into the store and wandered slowly through the aisles looking at everything the store had to offer.

Alex: Alex walked away from the magnets and walked to a row of different hats, putting one atop her head. She looked in a mirror and found the white, floppy straw hat looked silly on her and laughed at her reflection. She then grabbed a huge pair of sunglasses and put them on her head.

Daniel: Daniel browsed casually, not intending to buy anything but still looking.

Max: Max found herself among shell bracelets, candy and other little knick knacks. Some of the things reminded her of her hometown, San Francisco. Her mother had bought her "little treasures" like these, because her three and four year old self loved Ariel and her collection. Thinking of her deceased mother made her sad, and she turned away.

Clerk: The clerk, who was a sociable man, watched his newest customers, who were a group of teenagers, look around. After a minute or so he asked, "So, you all vacationing here together?"

Daniel: Daniel glanced at the clerk. He just seemed curious, not nosy. "No actually, we go to a boarding school outside of town. This is our first time in the city, besides the airport."

Toby: Toby walked through the aisles and smiled seeing Alex with the hat and sunglasses on. "having fun?" he asked.

Alex: Alex stood straight and turned to him and grinned,"A blast!" She laughed and took off the glasses along with her hat so her green eyes were showing again and her hair was sticking up. She giggled and ran a hand through her hair smoothing it down and asked smiling,"What about you? Wanna try on a hat for fun?" She grabbed a cowboy hat and gestured to it with an eyebrow raised and a smile playing on her lips.

Toby: Toby paused and then shook his head quickly "nah, that's okay." he said. He wished he was okay with looking silly in front of people and having fun, but he wasn't, and least not yet.

River: River smiled at Daniel's answer to the clerk and then walked over to a stand covered in necklaces and reached out touching them carefully.

Margo: Margo wandered around the store. She shoved her hand in her pocket, wrapping it around the money. She found some postcards, and decided to buy them to send to her siblings. So, she chose some pretty ones, then went to the register. She smiled at the clerk, pulling her money out.

Alex: Alex pouted her bottom lip and put the hat on her head instead. "Fine. Then I'll just look silly and bad looking all by myself and not with my good friend," She teased him making a funny face at him.

Clerk: The clerk smiled at Daniel. "Well, there's city maps at every bus station if you need them." He then smiled at Margo and scanned the cards, took her money, and completed the transaction. "You need a bag for that miss?"

Daniel: Daniel grinned at Alex and Toby. Toby was quickly become friends with most people, despite being a day late. He was glad he was easily making friends. Max, however, was a different story. There she was, off by herself again. And River was still the only one who seemed to have befriended her.

Max: Max felt eyes on her and looked up to see Daniel looking at her. She held his gaze before he looked away. Max wondered why he'd been looking at her, then she suspected he suspected something about her.

River: River continued looking at the necklaces, she loved all of the different colors.

Toby: Toby smiled. "sorry" he said shrugging. Part of him wanted to join Alex, but the other part of him, the part stuck worrying about others couldn't make himself.

Alex: "It's alright, I'll get you to be a freak with me one day," Alex said winking at him then smiling. She took the hat off and started looking at the other things in the isle and noticed a form fitting shirt with the cities name on the front,"This looks like a good souvenir."

Alex: "Are you going to get anything?" She asked starting towards the counter to pay. She double counts the money before giving it to the clerk behind the counter.
