Alex: Alex smiled warmly at Diamond listening to her until she trailed off making her look at her curious. When Jack nudged her with his elbow she realized Diamond was wanting her name so she answered,"Oh! I'm sorry, my name is Alexandria but you can call me Alex if you want. I love to sing and do art as well, drawing is most fun for me in art."

Toby: Toby smiled at Diamond. "And I'm Toby" he threw in, "I'm Alex's brother it's nice to meet you" he said winking at Alex.

Diamond:"Nice to meet you too."

Serefima: Serefima smiled. "So, I need to know: what's your ability? Mine is fire." She held out her palm and a flame butterfly flew out of thin air. It circled around Diamond, leaving a small trail of golden sparks behind it. "I like reading, that's about it. I'm a failure at singing, writing hurts my hands (and I usually burn the pencils when I'm bored), and in art, my flowers look like peaches." She chuckled. "Well, that's what I've been told. I think they look more like mangoes."

Diamond:"My power is force fields" she said humbly, more because of her self doubt than because she was humble.

Professor Collins: The professor cleared her throat to obtain her students' attention. "Good. Well, I have something else to tell you. For the first time, The Orange County Association of Private and Boarding Schools has invited us to participate in their annual science fair. You will each create a project with your lab partner to present in this science fair. The science fair is in March, so you will have plenty of time. I will give you today's class to start brainstorming ideas, and in two weeks time I want a one page project proposal paper outlining what you chose, what your basic plan is, and your predictions for the results. If you have any questions you may ask." Then Professor Collins went back to her paperwork.

Diamond: She hurried into science and went to her table in time to hear the words the professor said.

Jack: Jack shrugged as Max said her thank-you. "No problem," Listening to the professor he sighed," A science fair huh? That's sure to be easy and fun."

Alex: Alex smiled slightly, she had never been in a science fair before and even though it could be hard she was excited to do it. "A science fair, shouldn't be too hard," She said happily.

Daniel: "I've participated in a few, it'll be easy." He was smiling though, at least they could be working on something cool, and today would be an easy day.

Max: Max shrugged. "At least we don't have to do real schoolwork."

Alex: Alex nodded her head smiling, happy it wouldn't be too hard. "Great! We could do something really cool!" She said happily.

Jack: "Good point," Jack said shrugging.

Jack: Jack shrugged," A huge volcanoe? Maybe mix a couple mysterious stuff together and see what happens?"

Alex: "A potatoe clock?" Alex said uncertainly before sighing. "I'm not exactly sure what you do at a science fair or for a science project, if I ever had to do one it was with a partner and they did all the work themselves," She said sadly before laying her cheek in her hand on the table.

Serefima: Serefima's eyes widened. A science fair? Awesome! She looked over at Marciline. "So, any ideas, partner?"

Alex: "A potatoe clock?" Alex said uncertainly before sighing. "I'm not exactly sure what you do at a science fair or for a science project, if I ever had to do one it was with a partner and they did all the work themselves," She said sadly before laying her cheek in her hand on the table.

Daniel: "A potato clock?" he asked doubtfully. "Hm...let me think."

Toby: Toby thought about it "um, we could do something with plants see what liquids make grass grow the best" he said shrugging.

Alex: Alex frowned since she was being no help so sue started brainstorming ideas that she had heard of or seen. "What about a project about how much weight a tornadoe can lift?" She offered half heartedly.

Toby: Toby thought about it some more "we could use salt water, and pop, and different juices, and of course regular water."

River: River smiled, "yeah, that sounds like a good idea" she said shrugging.

Daniel: Daniel nodded slowly. "That could be good. We can always say on the project board we built and used a simulator, but really we could just go down to the gym and you could make a tornado."

Alex: Alex smiled and nodded her head. "I like that. We can use three different weights to test the tornadoe too, I know Jack brought some so I can just borrow any from him."

Toby: Toby smiled again. He glanced back at Max. He was glad the air had been cleared between them. He knew they couldn't completely start over. But at least they could try. He knew their awkward relationship was both of their faults, he had told her she couldn't handle herself and she had told him he took his life for granted.
