Alex: Alex laughed slightly at Toby and his mother before smiling. She thought tonight would be nerve wracking and sad, but even though it was nerve wracking at first, Alex was actually happy. She loved Toby's parents and hoped they liked her.

Toby: Toby smiled at Alex seeing her relax some. He was glad his parents were being nice to her.

Andrea: Andrea smiled at Alex hearing her laugh, she seemed so nice. A great person for Toby to have as a friend. She looked at Toby and smiled "okay, best thing worst thing."

Toby: this was another common question he had been asked all of his life after going somewhere or doing something Toby answered casually "um best thing, meeting my best friend Alex. Worst thing, having to wear a uniform."

Brian: Brian smiled "that figures" he said referring to the uniforms "who did you get caring about fashion from?"

Toby: Toby shrugged smiling.

Jack: Jack turned back to Margo with a sad smile. "But not as happy as you would be if your own family was here?" He asked knowing thats how he partially felt.

Margo: Margo nodded. For someone that seemed so gruff and indifferent at the beginning, Jack sure knew how to read what people were feeling. "Exactly."

Toby: Toby smiled "just keeping my options open mom" he said not wanted to break her heart by telling her that being a doctor never appealed to him and that it was basically out of the question.

Alex: Alex smiled slightly knowing Toby didn't want to be a doctor at all but key that information to herself. Instead, she said," Being a doctor is a great thing, it's really cool you can help people. I couldn't do it though, blood and needles and such aren't my favorite things."

Toby: Toby sat down on the arm of the couch next to his mom leaving space on the couch for Alex. He said "so, how's everything at home? Does the team miss me?" he asked referring to his soccer team.

Andrea: Andrea smiled "everything's pretty good, nothing too crazy happening. And of course the team misses you, they have to practice twice as hard without your power kick."

Toby: Toby smiled, he wondered if his teammates wondered where he had gone since none of the knew the real extent of his strength.

Andrea: Andrea smiled "everything's pretty good, nothing too crazy happening. And of course the team misses you, they have to practice twice as hard without your power kick."

Then one day after a game and the team had left I was waiting for my parents to get ready. My mom said 'come on Toby, kick it in. You know you can.'" he said this looking at his mom. "so, I did. And my coach saw me. No more sitting on the bench for me."

Andrea: Andrea laughed at the retelling of the story "sorry" she said simply.

Brian: Brian smiled and asked "what is your power Alex" then looking at his son said jokingly serious "if YOU don't mind me asking."

River: River led her grandma to a chair and helped her sit. She pulled a chair up and sat next to her. For the first time she looked over and noticed Daniel with his family. She couldn't help but smile seeing him. She wondered if this was what it was like to be in love. She noticed that his dad wasn't there, but that his brothers were. She knew Daniel couldn't be happy about that.

Rose Carson: Rose sat and smiled at River "Honestly River why do you insist on hiding your beautiful face with your hair?" she said referring to River's long bangs that hung over her left eye. She pulled a ****y pin out of her purse and carefully held River's bangs away from her face and pinned them back.

River: River smiled at the compliment and helped as her grandma pinned her hair "thanks" she said looking down shyly.

Andrea: Andrea smiled at Alex's description of her power. Trying to think of something to say she said "so Alex, do you have any big plans this summer?"

Toby: Jumping in Toby said "well actually, mom, dad, I was wondering of Alex could stay with us this summer" he said nervously awaiting an answer.

Brian: Brian looked at his wife "we'll think about it" he answered.

Andrea: Andrea joined in "would your parents be okay with that?" she asked Alex.
