Alex: Alex grinned," I'm the same way. Except I had bunk beds so I shoved everything in the closet." She looked at Nate then at Toby again with excited eyes," Maybe you were bitten by a radioactive monkey! But you can't remember the bite because the monkey used another one of its powers to erase your memory of the event!"

Jack: Jack couldn't stop himself from laughing at Alex's suggestion then smiling at her when she glared at him. "You can't blame me Lexi, a radioactive monkey? That can erase memories?"

Alex: Alex slumped back into his arm and pouted. "It could happen," She mumbled childishly making Jack smile in amusement again.

Toby: Toby swallowed at Jack calling Alex Lexi, he was trying to get used to Jack liking Alex, but he couldn't seem to. "I like the idea, it would sure make for a story to tell later" he said talking about the monkey.

Nate: "Wanna hear how I discovered mine?" Nate asked, then launched into his story. "I had accidentally gotten this older guy really mad at me by saying something I shouldn't have. He punched me, but I couldn't fight back cause he was so much bigger, so I ran. He and some of his friends chased me. I rounded a corner, and it was a dead end, but a little dog was sitting there. I just though 'wouldn't it be great to be a dog right now' and suddenly I was. Those guys spent forever looking for me. The only problem was, I couldn't figure out how to change back for three days. Those were a long three days."

Alex: Alex smiled as Nate continued with his story and by the end was grinning. "That's so cool! You just turned into a dog? That easy? I wish I found out about my powers like that! But, just for the record, that guy and his friends deserved someone to punch them in the face. Big jerks messing with my friend," Alex said with her arms crossed towards the end.

Jack: Jack smiled listening to Nate's story and Alex's comment. "That really is a cool story though, great time for your powers to kick in," He said.

Toby: Toby swallowed at Jack calling Alex Lexi, he was trying to get used to Jack liking Alex, but he couldn't seem to. "I like the idea, it would sure make for a story to tell later" he said talking about the monkey.

Alex: Alex smiled triumphantly at Jack," See? My best friend agrees with me." She stuck her tongue out at him again making him chuckle but do the same to her making Alex smile.

OOC: ummm...Toby basically had a panic attack over what Max said, but Alex found him, and he's better now, and she's the only one who knows. What else? Oh, and Jack knows Alex likes him because he heard Toby and her talking. But they don't know he knows. Anything else?

OOC: Okay, thanks guys. I'm just going to speed forward to the beginning of Parent's Night with my next post, but I shall add Daniel's how-I-got-my-powers story first, like he's been here the whole time.

Daniel: Daniel chuckled at the other's stories and listened curiously. When there was a pause, Daniel said, "When I was a preteen, maybe ten or eleven or twelve, I was living in Ottawa, that's Canada's capital, and I was heading home after hockey practice with my brothers and this guy walked over, and started demanding money from me. We kept refusing and trying to walk away but the guy was not having it. He finally reached out to smack me, and I accidentally hit him in the back of his head with my hockey stick. He was out cold, but my brothers and I started panicking, and somehow I teleported the three of us into our living room. Of course, our skin was torn to shreds, we'd nbot teleported exactly in one piece."

And plus I was stuck as a dog for three days. I thought I was going to be a dog forever... no more friends, family, sports, anything, just a dog. For the rest of my life. That was pretty scary. And my parents freaked out, called the police, a huge search was started. When I got back, they thought I was crazy and lying to them. I couldn't figure out how to redo it for a long time. It was..." Nate could go on, but decided not too, as he realized others probably also had it pretty bad and this might seem like whining. He ran his finger over the scar on his jaw, remembering that ordeal, too.

River: River listened to everyone's stories. She realized she didn't remember the first time she had used her powers. For her they were just always a part of her.

Toby: Toby couldn't believe everyone's stories, and all of the troubles they had when discovering their powers.

Alex: "I'm sorry too Nate, I didn't know all that happened. I'm sure it was terrifying," Alex said feeling slightly guilty she made it seem like it was the best thing ever instead of thinking about how he must have felt.

Nate: "It's ok. It's all over now. And besides, we've all had some tough times. Daniel, that sounds so painful! It reminds me of the characters in Harry Potter being splinched. Is that kind of how it was like?" Nate pictured this and shuttered.

The students laughed, joked, played, talked, had fun and hung out for the rest of the afternoon. Max hung back and stayed away from the others, embarrassed and angry. Daniel meanwhile stayed with his girlfriend and his new friends and fellow classmates. Professor Collins took care of a few minor things but mostly enjoyed some peace and quiet and observed the students. They seemed to be getting along well with each other for the most part, and that would be important in normal life and in the event that something happened. Professor Collins was no fool; the school was isolated, true, but she could only protect the island so much, and she knew that if the true identity of the school was public knowledge, there would be people who wouldn't be above hurting children if it meant less superheroes. She tried not to think about it though, and instead focused on the night ahead.

At around five, she had called all students back to the mansion and had them cleaning the entire building, and even she joined in. The students were reluctant to do the work, but when Professor Collins told the students they could use their powers as long as they didn't kill each other, they found that the work was more bearable and was finished more quickly than if they had not used their powers. Once the building was cleaned and decorated, she released the students to get ready. Professor Collins even dressed nicely, she wore a black floor length and long sleeved dress and black high heeled shoes, and looked classy and dignified.

Max: Max had showered, brushed her hair, and put on a sleeveless knee length white dress with an army green ribbon around the high waist. She also slid on white sandals before rejoining her classmates in the great hall to wait fort the parents. She had barely spoken a word, but she was clearly on edge, and it was a barely readable, but anyone who paid attention to her blue eyes long enough would see a faint glimmer of what looked like nervousness or fear.

Daniel: Daniel had also showered, and was wearing a blue collard shirt, a black tie, and khaki slacks and black shoes. He was smiling, but he was nervous. He hoped his mother approved of the school, he was the one who had found it, applied, been invited and begged to go. He also wondered if his brothers would be in attendance, and he hoped that no one found out about him and River. Of course the other students knew, but he didn't want the parents to, that would be embarrassing.

Ooc: No problem, and that sounds good.

Alex: Alex made a face picturing somebody really being splinched," I hope it didn't. I didn't like reading about or seeing anyone being splinched, let alone have one of my friends and his family be splinched."

Jack: Jack smirked and looked down at Alex," You read Harry Potter?" He pinched her cheek and teased," Aw, are you my little nerd shortcake?"

Alex: Alex slapped away Jack's hand away with a bright blush before looking away from him. "Ha ha, you're so funny," She said sarcastically.
