Max: "Thank you," she said walking through the door. Max walked out of the building and smiled at the sun. "Gosh, I love it here! Britain is always rainy!"

Toby: "you're welcome" he walked outside "how long were you in Britain?" he asked out of curiosity.

Max: Max wrinkled her nose in thought. "The past four boarding schools, so about nine or ten months."

Max: "Yeah, it's a great place to go, if you aren't going to school."

Max: "It kind of does." She made it to the helipad and waited for the helicopter to arrive.

Max: Finally, the helicopter arrived. She climbed aboard. "I feel so pampered here. Only one roommate, I share my teacher with only like a dozen other kids, and I have a helicopter."

Max: "It is a good school. We're pretty lucky." She was lucky. She had awesome powers, friends for the first time in her life, and a school that was both good and one she actually enjoyed. Her dad away, her mom dead, the things she had done to herself, they almost didn't matter at that moment. She was lucky.

Max: They landed, and she got off. "Do you want to walk around, or should we see if there's a good movie at the theatre, or what?" She felt like she was ordering everyone around, it was an uncomfortable feeling.

Max: "So, you know a lot about me -probably more than you wanted to know- but I don't know much about you." The silence was awkward, and she really was curious.

Toby: Toby was surprised at the question, but he smiled at Max saying he knew more than he wanted to. Then he thought about it "okay, I live on a beach in South Carolina, I have one sister who lives in Virginia, she ten years older than me and has two kids, so I'm an uncle. I have a dog named Zeus. I live in the same house I was born in. Both of my parents and my sisters are doctors, but I don't want to be one, my parents don't know that though. I played soccer, but it's not really my thing. Getting good grades isn't really what I care about, but my parents do. And I live in a really small town" he said, then he added "anything else you want to know?" it was a real question. He knew so much about Max that it was only right she knew about him.

Toby: Toby smiled "it is wonderful" he said then he paused, Alex was the only person who knew what he wanted to do. He considered not telling Max, but wasn't sure why. It wasn't a huge secret or anything. "um, I want to teach. Which...seems odd since I said I don't really care about getting good grades. But...I think school shouldn't be about grades, I want to be a teacher who has students learn for learning, not for a letter. I want to actually get to know my students and help them..." he trailed off realizing he might have said to much.
