What are your views on the circus?

I think it's cruel, and I don't know how anyone can support it. Circuses with animals that is.

Yeah, I now hate circuses. I feel so sorry for the elephants Did you know they are all girls? They dont attack people is why... they do keep them chained up and stuff, and its so horrible. I cant believe circuses are even aloud anymore.

I don't think I've ever been to a circus. Maybe a dumpy one while I lived overseas.

They're not really.. popular.. anymore. Go see Cirque du Soliel for a much better show xD

Cruel to animals? Where is that coming from? Like, no circuses do things anymore cruel to animals. We all know PETA would have a fit.

And as a side note I'm all for animal rights, but at the same time, don't you wonder if the preformers are ever abused, especially in lower-quality circuses.

You want to know my honest opinion?

I think it's a no-brainer that women are abused, raped, ect. through these things. Many are in circuses because they had no direction as a child, didn't know their parents, ect. They went there because it supported them with a shelter, food, clothes, and a job. That's all they need to get by. But, they don't trust anyone. And I'm pretty damn sure that the men in the circuses know what's gone of with them, making the women pretty easy targets. And not having direction and having trust issues would pretty much explain why if a women was abused, raped, ect. why they didn't go to the police - they don't trust them.

i think the "old world" circus theme is really interesting. like with the freak shows/side shows and the costumes are gorgeous.

i, however, dont really like the modern circuses with clowns and stuff. id much rather see cirque du soleil.

It actually depends on the Zoo's as there are some there who are protecting the animals for hunters and people that think having abit an animal as a trophy on their wall would be nice then theres some who just think stick an animal in a cage and let the public have a look at them, where they have no respect for the animals wellbeing.

I don't mind circuses when its only people, but I don't like ones with animals (and that has nothing to do with PETA as I find PETA go abit to extreme in things).
