Warning:
I ramble. I over-plan. I re-plan. I also think better when I write things out. This is why I blog and this is why I am PTRing. It makes me feel better and more in control of my OCD.:lmao:

I love reading well written PTRs and TRs. MissCammie, ZZUB and LaLa make me giggle and occasionally laugh out loud. I don't think I can hold candle to their greatness, but sometimes you can't but help watch a train wreck, (or Hurricane Ike coverage if you live near me) and if THAT is the case, then you have found your place!:thumbsup2

For the last to years I have taken my DD10 to Disney World to celebrate our Forever Family Day, when the judge told us we were a Forever Family. I guess I talked enough about it that my friends finally got a little of the magic by osmosis. They are coming with us for their first family vacations to the world. I am "The Planner."

Muah ha ha
They have no idea.

So I invite you to join me in this little adventure. I would appreciate any input, ideas, spelling and grammar corrections and feedback.

With that said, please fasten your safety belts, put your chairs in the upright position with your tray tables locked and hang on for dear life. This might get a little bumpy!

We are an Official Magical/Grand Gathering as we are a party of 12. I don't think that really gives us much except that maybe our rooms can be closer together and they can sell us some expensive little add ons, but I guess I will be finding out more as the days get closer.

There are lots of us. I will try to keep it brief.

Family 1 The Chaffers
Don the Dad
He has tolerated the craziness of his wife and friend (me)for almost 15 years. He is a doctor, a biker and has a bit of the silly in him too.
Janie the Mom
Former youth minister now hospice social worker. She was a mentor to me when I started in ministry. She makes great kids, tshirts and margaritas. Addicted to diet Coke. The best friend a girl could ever ask for.
DwarfOne18
A freshman at college. Loves musical theater, marching bands and being in charge. Not afraid to burst into song whenever and wherever the mood strikes her. Not just believes, but KNOWS she is a princess.
DwarfTwo13
God help us all she is a teenager now. Never been afraid to try anything once. A gifted artist and always has entertainment value. She is a pirate waiting to happen.
DwarfThree9
The quiet mischief making one. Loves to read and see how she can provoke her older sisters so they get in trouble and she doesn't. A huggy girl who whispers so you pay attention to her when she is talking. She is Belle.

Family 2 The Arkusinskis
John the Dad
Wait for it, cause he will be funny once you get him talking. A small town doctor who is not to sure about this Disney thing, but is rolling with it.
Fran the Mom
Janie's sister, physical therapist, and super mom. She is super organized, super funny and wearing a red cape with an S on her chest.
DwarfFour15
A sophomore in high school, rebellious, funny, and testing any adult who gets in her way. Tinkerbell is her girl.
DwarfFive13
The only male dwarf in the group, he is a karate kickin' boot stompin' ball of testosterone. A ninja-esque Prince Charming.
DwarfSix10
If she could, she would go to karate class in high heels and a ball gown. All frilly girl, who can mix it up. Mulan is her favorite.

Family 3 The Carrs
DwarfSeven10
My DD. A special needs ball of energy who isn't about to miss anything. Plays hard, sleeps hard and laughs loud. Will bust out with a dance party if there is a hint of music (even if it is just in her head.) Is quite sure she and Gabriella from HSM were separated at birth.
Molly the Mom
Addicted DISer, wanna-be Focker and Disney Nut. Minister, diet Coke addict, foodie and insomniac. I have OCD and like to be in control of things. Working on it when it is convenient.

I am the (fairy)godmother to the six dwarfs of Janie and Fran and they are DwarfSeven's (fairy)godmothers. We have adopted each of our families as our own. They call my maternal unit "Mom" as I do theirs. I love all the kids as if they were mine and they love mine.

Janie, Fran and I, along with all 7 kids have always gone away for to a cabin in the middle of nowhere for our Christmas the week between Christmas and New Years. We are bringing their husbands this year and going to be in the middle of it all.

DwarfSeven is the only kid who has been to The World. All of the adults have been at some point in the past (very distant past for some of them.) Janie and I went to Epcot together one time with a bunch of other youth ministers 12 years ago. This trip promises to be a bit different.

Free dining came out for Disney Visa people and I jumped all over it. My travel agent said it would probably open up to everyone in a few days. So I made my ADRs for all of us to have great character meals every night. It never happened for everyone else. HUGE BUMMER!:sad1:

We agreed that we would have one meal all together at a TS and that as a Christmas gift I would take all the kids and let their parents have an evening for adult time.

Here is what we are looking at:

Carr Arrival Day 12/17
Chef Mickey's for Dinner
We went last year and although the food wasn't the best, the character interaction was great. So were the desserts.

Chaffer Arkusinski Arrival Day 12/18
1900 Park Faire
The step sisters crack me up, and I love when Prince Charming dances with the girls and gives them a twirl. I also love the salmon with dill and strawberry soup.

12/19
Ohana's for Breakfast
We have never been here but the reviews have looked good. Any thoughts?

12/20
Liberty Tree for Dinner
This has always been one of our favorites and it makes me sad it is going away in January. I am also a little addicted to the salad dressing here.

12/21
Prime Time Cafe for all 12 of us
We have never been here either, but when my dd heard that grown ups get in trouble for elbows on the table and not eating their vegetables she chose it immediately. One of our families is vegetarian. I hope that isn't a problem here. Any one got thoughts on this one?

Last Day at the Park 12/22
Crystal Palace for dinner with me and 7 kids
I love me some Tigger. But, I have never been here before. Figured the buffet would work for everyone.

I'm up for suggestions!:thumbsup2
