The Chances Of Getting A GV At OKW(waitlist)

Hi all, what do you think my chances are of getting an OKW GV for Sept 7th-12th?i am waitlisted for it,but i am worried that the waitlist will not come through.i have a 2 bedroom and a studio reserved just in case.What do you think my chances are?Thanks in advance.

That is awfully close, way past the seven month window, real low points, I doubt it.

But it is still a ways off, you do have a chance.

You can never tell. Cancellations and re-scheduling do happen. You just never know. The most likely time might be right before the 31 day cut-off for people to cancel without the points going into holding. It will also depend on how many people are ahead of you in the waitlist.

It's good that you have a back-up ressie just in case. In August (within 30 days), you'll be automatically taken off the waitlist and will need to call to request leaving the Grand Villa wait-list in place. Last minute cancellations are possible, just don't count on it too much.

Bear in mind that if the waitlist does come through at the last minute, you probably will have some points go into holding which will need to be used before the end of your use year and can only be used for ressies less than 60 days out.

the good thing is i dont think there is that many people in front of me for the waitlist because i called last Thursday and they had a couple of GV still left.icalled today to make the reservation and there wasnt any left so i am thinking that there could not be that many people in front of me on the waitlist.also i will have to add to my points to get the GV so i will not have to worry about having to book next trip 60 days out.

If your whole vacation was available a week ago, you do have a pretty good shot....the one major consideration is waitlisting the whole time or day by day....while you do run the chance of moving, I don't think its likely. I would waitlist for each day seperately....another bad part about this is the points....if you are near your point allotment for this year, you would have to cancel each two+st ressie as each day came in.....possibly being forced to move each and every night!!!!

I don't think that is a real possibility. I think you will have the best chance waitlisting for individual days.
