Love the blanket! Is it crochet? I haven't quite got the hang of that yet.
mommie2angels : please please please tell me how you made those fabulous necklaces, they would be great favors for my DD birthday! How difficult are they to make? I like to try to make things but am not always sucessful to any tips would be appreciated.[/QUOTE
Oh thank you so much! Which ones? They are all easy to make. The glass tile ones you create your image or get an image from the Internet. I print onto photo paper. Put some type of adhesive such as diamond glaze, 3D lacquer, modge podge or resin on the glass to adhere it to the image. Then you coat the back with one of the same adhesives to protect it.
The bottle caps are basically the same except I run the image through the little Xyron sticker maker to adhere to the bottlecap. Then I use
Resin on top. You can use epoxy dots if you would rather but I love to pour resin so I use that.
The silver tiles that the Princess Tiana ones are in I again run my image through the xyron sticker maker to adhere to tray. I use an epoxy dot on those because I seem to get too many bubbles with the resin inside the tray.
I hope this helps. If it's not clear instructions or you have questions please let me know. Thanks!
Here's a blanket I just finished for a friend who's due in August. The colors remind me of Buzz lightyear.
I made a couple of blankets for a friend to give to her little twin nieces.
There is so much talent here! I love it all!
I love those colors!
Well said! Those blankets are all so beautiful! If both of you don't mind me asking, what size blankets do you usually make for infants? What kind of yarn do you like to work with?
Are either of you on Ravelry? My projects are saved there. My ID is filypretzel if you wanted to see them.
Thank you for sharing these!
Thanks!
For this blanket I used Lion Brand Hometown USA and an N hook. The yarn is really thick but still soft and it worked up so quick!
For the blanket I made a few months back I used Baby Bernat and I thought I would never finish!![]()
I would say they are both about 36X36 or so. I usually just keep going until it looks right.![]()
I use just soft baby yarns. I like the yarns with floss in them. I don't really measure my blankets, but I do tend to make them a little large so that the baby can use them for a good 2 years or more. I am on ravelry. I don't go there very often but I am there. I also use crochetville. That place rocks!!!
