Our first IOA ride was on Spiderman...I survived by closing my eyes when it gets to the part where you are falling off the building. After that ride, we were chatting with a nice park employee who mentioned that the Cat in the Hat ride had a non-spin version (just tell the ride operator before you get in the car). DD and I tried that the first time. The second time through she says "I want to spin". I think, "it's Cat in the Hat, how bad can it be?"
WHOA! At one point, this ride whips you around about 5 times. I was crying out after the 3rd spin...my head just cannot take it!
I managed to do OK on MIB (sat in back seat so I can brace my head when the car spins).
Thought I'd give my experience to help others decide whether or not to ask for the "non-spin" version.
