Tony, thanks for the updates here. I am a fan of all things steam in railroads. We have a membership with the Tennessee Valley Railroad museum in Chattanooga and my G-scale collection of Aristocraft locos are all steam or mini's (no diesels is my point). My first trip to the Fort was about a year after the FWRR stopped running (but tracks still went by the Meadow TP).
I received David Leaphart's book as a wonderful Christmas present from my dear dad and have loved reading it. What's interesting to me personally is how stations/stops were used then not, when they moved, etc. It also provides information about when building and loops were added (original loops were 100-600) and when major buildings came in (Pioneer Hall, Meadow TP, the Check-in building) or moved (the Bike Barn).
Finally I am glad to get a digital image of the FWRR drumhead. That might make it onto a home-made Fort t-shirt or two with some other Fort images I've assembled.
Thanks, Bama ED
