For those of you who are not familiar with my family, and have not read previous trippies and the pre-trip report, please let me do the introductions:

Myself (Catherine) (41) - loves anything Disney, especially Pooh and Mickey as Sorcerors Apprentice
DH (John) (47) - luckily loves disney as well, and is usually happy to agree with my plans
DS (Stephen) (14) - not too bad as a teenager, but doesn't like rides that go upside-down!

Sunday 30 July 2006 - Day Eleven - MGM & Epcot

I was awake at 7.00 am again this morning. Due to having a late night on Saturday we decided to let DS have another lie-in. Seemed safer all round. Gave me a chance to catch up with trip report notes anyway, and read some more.

We were out for breakfast at Dennys at about 10.30 am, which was delicious as usual, and them off to MGM.

First things first, and a FastPass duly obtained for RnRC. ToT was a definite "no no" for both myself and DS, and DH decided he didn't want to ride it on his own. I went on this for the first time last year and decided it was something I would never do again!!!

Still took a photo of it though.

Muppets 3D was first, and DS ended up buying two t-shirts in the shop on the way out, one with Kermit on and one with Animal on it. Then did Sounds Dangerous to see if it was any better than we remembered from last time. It wasn't!! I find this a complete waste of time and space.

However, by the time we had done these two attractions, our fastpass window was open so it was back to RnRC for our limousine ride. DS chickened out of this one again. He has never yet managed to do this ride. It is the thought of going upside down that he doesn't like. I don't normally like going upside down on coasters, but somehow this one goes so fast, you don't really realise you have gone upside down - if that makes sense?

Anyway from there B&tB was about 20 minutes away from starting, and I wanted to see it again (we had missed it last year). I also wanted to see the singing group "4 for a dollar" that had been highly recommended by other Dissers. Arrived in the theatre and sat and waited, and told DS & DH that there would be some pre-show entertainment. However, there wasn't! Obviously they don't sing before all the shows. I was quite disappointed, but there is always next year.

DH loves Millionaire and we wanted to make sure we had at least one go before it closed for good. Although we didn't get into the hot seat, I did get up to third on the leader board as the game finished. I was well chuffed. Especially as some of the answers were guesses! Disney Animation was next although I'm not sure if this is as good as it used to be, when it was a true animator you were talking to, and you actually saw him draw a character live.

Decided to catch the Friendship Boat over to Epcot, and took a photo of a duck for some reason. DS still thinks this is hilarious for some reason and questions the sanity of a mother who decides to take a photo of a duck!!

Below is photo of said duck!

Once we got over to Epcot we walked through to Innoventions West and had a go on the computers. We also sent a funny e-mail home, just to let family and friends know that we were thinking about them.

We had an ADR for Le Cellier booked for tonight, and we arrived at 6.40 pm for our ADR at 6.50 pm. Just before we got to the desk I got my notebook out to check the ADR time and realised it was actually for 7.10 pm - DOH!!

Checked in anyway, and decided to wait inside in the cool. People were walking up to see if there was any tables and everyone who walked up was turned away. I did hear one CM inform a guest that they were fully booked up until November 2006! (Bear in mind we were there on 30 July 2006). Shows the popularity of the place.

We were taken to our table at 7.05 pm and we were in Nova Scotia and our server was Erin. Really nice girl, very friendly and helpful, despite the fact that the restaurant was busy.

DS and I had the Cheese Soup between us. With the breadsticks they give you as well, this was absolutely delicious, but one between us was enough. DH had the Ceaser Salad. For main course DS had the New York Rib, DH had 7oz Filet Mignon and I had the salmon. Now I think about it I realise that I was in a steakhouse, I should really have had the steak, but again there is always next year!!

For once we had a dessert, DS had the maple creme brulee, and DH & I had Strawberries and Balsamic Ice Cream. The whole meal was absolutely delicious and well worth every cent of the $138 we paid. We were not rushed at all, and ate our meal at a very leisurely pace. We will definitely definitely go back there again.

Whilst we were in the restaurant it had absolutely tipped it down, but by the time we emerged, the rain had stopped. Perfect timing!

Slow walk over to International Gateway, and caught the Friendship Boat to take us back to MGM, watching the Illuminations Fireworks and Fantasmic Fireworks on the way. Again, another nice way of watching these.

Decided not to go back into MGM, so found our car and went back to Villa via Publix for some more essentials.

Watched some TV and then to bed.
