Well inspired by Deb's foray into the pre-trip report world, I thought I'd also have a stab at one.

As Deb has done a pre-trip report already, I shall not bore you with details of who we are etc etc etc, as I'm sure you all know already and those that don't probably don't care anyway. That having been said if you're interested, forgetful or just plain dumb all is explained inDeb's pre-trip report

I've been wondering how to report our antics in a succinct manner which won't see my slaving away for hours over a hot laptop - not that I've not got the spare time that is!!

I've been inspired by CustardTart's cocktail count on her recent trip reports and seeing as she really doesn't apply herself anywhere near enough I thought I'd do a real cocktail count, or as I like to call it, how to ruin your liver in 10 easy steps:lmao:

Also, we are followed to WDW (a few weeks later) by everyone's favourite Welshies (Jules and Ian) and I want to set them some targets to try and achieve:thumbsup2

So the premise is simple. My aim is to recount to you, the esteemed audience, every single Margarita, Martini, Manhattan, bottle of beer and glass of wine consumed by me and the lovely UKDeb in 14 days.

As we shall no doubt take the laptop on our trip, I may even try posting in real time, or at least the following morning whilst taking my daily Alka Selzer!! In fact, thinking this through, if anyone wants to enjoy a vicarious cocktail I'll even open the trip to suggestions for what we should drink each day on our travels - it'll be like being along on the trip yourself - but without the hangover:sick: :lmao:

So, join me in a little over 3 weeks for what promises to be one hell of a ride - and don't forget your drinking heads:dance3: :scared1: :thumbsup2

:cool1: this is my kind of trippie ! i would love to join you both for a cocktail or two.

Hurrah, a drinkie trippie, and a challenge too, I do love a challenge. Maybe we can turn our trip into a sort of pilgramage where we follow in your footsteps, retracing the route you took of the bars of Orlando. You can leave us little signs with that strange thing with the odd nose, peeping over a wall, saying Debs and the Mattster was ere.

Yay !! A drinkypoo trippy, now this is definitely my kind of trip report

Have a fab time Matt & Deb, and I look forward to finding out whether you did actually 'drink your body weight in 14 days'. I've got money on you doing it in the first week ;) :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think it will be a challenge, I've worked out it would be around 14 pints a day, so it will take some effort but I'm prepared to make that effort for my adoring fans:lmao: :lmao:

Glad to hear I'm an inspiration to you, Senor Hogg!

I can only hang my head in shame and agree, I talked the talk but miserably failed to walk the walk in my previous cocktail counting trip report. :sad2: Tho' TBH I blame the presence of our DD... KIDS!!! Anyway, DH and I have an adults only trip next September so will look forward to applying your principles and ruining our livers too... :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Woo hooo - my kind of trip report! :thumbsup2

I am looking forward to reading as much as you can remember......

We can show them all how it's done Karen - we will have 12 nights to perfect it! :lmao:

Don't worry I'll show you the way to go, and good news I made a mistake in my earlier calculations - only 11.6 pints per day to manage the challenge - a walk in the park I think you'd agree!!

Mr S - happily start off with such a drink for you - maybe at the bar in Raglan Rd on the first night - sure it won't make me look like a wuss:rotfl2:

I am amazed, Ian is looking startled at the thought of 11.6 pints per day, he is sitting there looking glazed and saying 11.6 pints per day. He drank enough its a wonder he didn't double his body weight last year, I think most of our spending money went on alcohol - get a grip man I tell him ... Get to that bar ...

I think a few trials runs are in order 'pre-trip' just to warm up :woohoo: It's a bit like a marathon you gotta build up to it!

Here are some suggestions for you Matt :thumbsup2

Tambu Lounge, Polynesian
'Ohana Colada - A creamy frozen pina colada with Bacardi light rum, coconut and pineapple juices

Territory Lounge, Wilderness Lodge
Salmon Run - Spiced Rum, Orange Juice, a splash of Grenadine and a squeeze of lime

get a grip man I tell him ... Get to that bar ...
You tell him Jules - big pansy. Does he call himself a Welshie or not?! Sure the boys at the rugby club would be dismayed to think he'd given up on a drinking challenge so early on!

Irongirl - have no fear, my entire life is a build up to this occasion:thumbsup2

Alan - they shall rank just behind Kev's coconut/umbrella combo request;)

Hey another Welshie here, also a good drinker when the mood takes me Matt, so Im really looking forward to the tally you and Deb and Jules and Ian achieve, have a great time, looking forward to reading all about it:thumbsup2

Dear Matt (and Debbie, Jules and Ian),
Those drink diaries you're planning to keep are an excellent idea. I believe the rehab people suggest those very things as a self-awareness exercise when starting to work the twelve steps. Best luck in your endeavors. Susan

I'm all for trying 12 steps, but after a night of merriment I have trouble counting that high:confused3 ;)

Sue, shall we make this an Anglo-Welsh competition - the edf cup of the drinking world per chance??

Im always up for a challange Matt and would be there like a shot if I could, Im sure my co welshies will fly the welsh flag on my behalf, and may the best man win...or woman of course knowing how good Jules and Deb are at this drinking lark:) :)
